I had used your mouse and rat traps satisfactorily for years. The last two purchases for eight mouse traps was very disappointing. The plastic pedal where the arm attaches was narrowed such that it is very difficult to set the trap. I gave up after nine attempts on three traps.
I purchased Tom Cat traps which worked perfectly.

I purchased a dozen regular wooden base mouse traps. I then bated six of them with peanut butter. The Mice ate all of the PB but I caught only one mouse! I then bated them with a sticky caramel and added a smear of PB. Still had an 80% failure rate. I contacted the company not looking for replacement but maybe advice. No suggestion but offered to replace them but only if I had a receipt. Really? To be so stingy with an item that retails for about 50 cents each suggests to me that this company cares little about customer satisfaction. One also has to wonder how well they pay their employees. Penny wise pound foolish.
Have purchased 2 four packs of wood platform wide pedal mouse traps. Pedal will not stay engaged with trigger arm. Could not set, yellow pedal keeps falling down. Three of last four simply do not work. Stamped on platform "Woodstream Corp Lititz, PA, USA". Made in the USA indeed. Totally and completely a useless inferior product.

Terrible, I have tried all 4 of the traps in the pkg, and the things are set with so much force that the mice just eat the bait, and they don't snap. You have to hit the bait board with a lot of force to make it snap.
Do not waste your money! I purchased a bag of rodent repeller packs and put them all around my apartment and the mice chewed right right through the bags and I haven't found any dead mice anywhere in the apartment.
The last 2 rat traps I purchased both broke immediately! Wonder if they've started using inferior metal?
