Viking bag products are made with extremely durable material. I really liked the quality of the buckles and stitching. I worked with Pamela Smith from Customer Service who was very nice, supportive and answered all of my questions.
Most of VikingBags products are 'universal', meaning they will fit on a large percentage of bikes but not specifically made for your exact make and model. It's important to be patient when you receive your bags and try to mount them on your bike. These were far less expensive than other brands and a fantastic deal for the quality product you get, I was expecting subpar materials and not the attention to detail in the zippers, D-rings, and construction of the straps. But don't expect detailed instructions and use your common sense when mounting on your motorcycle. They give you a ridiculous amount of attaching options and straps which make the mounting process much more easier. I have three different types of their bags and use them on my four motorcycles, just doing a few strap adjustments when switching bikes. Scott Adam in customer service has been fantastic to deal with. I'd recommend these bags to anyone.
Sure this company doesn't have the best reputation but i was referred to them by another member of my honda forum. They sell solid high quality bags for a good discount. They're not the highest quality but they're much better than anything in the similar price range. I would say that they're the best compromise deal out. If you purchase your own brackets ( much better off doing that cuz their mounting hardware isn't great) you'll be a very happy camper like me!
The hard saddlebags are the best deal on the market right now. I got them for almost 400 shipped. They come with keys and hardware, no where else is going to have this build qualiuty for the same price. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I didn't deal with their customer service so i can't really comment on that but I think you should give them a chance. The quick release brackets will help the installation a lot, I would recommend springing for em.
I was one of "those customers." I ordered a pair of bags had to return them for a defect, and then had to return them, because I'd gotten the wrong size. Each time, the CS worked well with me, and the return/exchange process was quick, efficient, and went smoothly. It's the kind of service I've come to know and love about vikingbags.com since they were New Enough.
After previously purchasing jafrum saddlebags for my bfs vstar and being very unsatisfied. I found vikingbags being heavily advertised online. After taking a quick look at them and reading some reviews on yelp, i took the chance and leap of faith. This company hands down has the best high quality saddlebags available for the money. Other companies dont offer saddlebags and such a good value for your money. My bf is actually thrilled and doesn't have any complaints. Great success for me.
I had an issue on the hard bags that I bought. They were such a hassle to install but the nice guys at their customer service department was able to guide me through it. Just beware that their bags are great, but the installation is fairly difficult.
I had an issue with one of the bags and I contacted Viking and after careful review of my concerns they contacted me and were willing to work with me. Great group of people and better yet a really great looking and functional set of bags. I hope to have on the bike for many more mile. Thanks Viking.
Jacket fits perfecy and I've gotten lots of compliments on it! I LOVE the ability to use/not use the thick liner on long rides... cold in the AM, then hot all day... In my leather jacket I either froze or had to sweat bullets. Since the liner fits perfectly in my swing arm bag, now I'm always comfortable no matter how unpredictable the weather! Amazing! Lots of zippers for all your stuff and the back of the jacket really covers your bum- no back drafts! Velcro straps at the wrists are great, too! LOVE it! Highly recommend! Excellent customer service by Scott Adam! Really happy with the whole experience!
Purchased the Hammer series large saddle bags for my VTX. Very easy installation and the look is amazing! I really like the all-around Velcro seal so the lid doesn't flap. The locks are easy to operate as compared to other locking bags. The bags have a tear drop shape in the back end which allows for a bit more space. Scott Adam was great help with any questions I had with the product. Definitely recommend!
Answer: Because I'm a cheap skate. You get what you pay for.
Answer: There is no designed kit for that installation. But its simple to work around. All you need is a longer bolt that can sustain our qds hardware and the sissy bar all together which can be found at their local hardware store
