I went to visionworks in Taylors,SC, to see if they could repair my son's glasses which the puppy took outside and mangled. They were friendly and acknowledged my entrance; my glasses were given to the manager, Kevin, who examined them and said he would try his best to repair them. He worked on them with different tools for a long time and did a fantastic job! I was so pleased! And did not even charge me--amazing! This is The Best shop for glasses I have ever found or used. Great job, Kevin!
Coupon for 50% off. Presented it, was told, prescription was over 1 year old. Coupon denied. Coupon did not state prescription requirement.
I have been going to this place for 8 years. The first pair of glasses fit terrible. I reordered Ray Ban glasses. They defiantly were over priced. I can believe, I couldn't get one person to get off their $#*! and help Me. The customer service was shameful. I would rather go to another, eye glass place, then go back here. The last time I will, buy glasses here. Poor quality frames, cheap over priced

Wow, this was really really bad.
The eye doctor was nice enough, but they sent me contacts to the wrong address, then you can't contact them through their phone number. When finally speaking to someone they shipped them over, but the rebate I was suppose to get apparently is not valid. I called again - got angry trying to get a person on the phone (because you can't) and then told the girl answering how angry I was with the phone system, she said i was 'swearing' at her (I wasnt) and hung up on me. I filed a credit card claim

I squeduled 2 appointments for my wife and my self, hers was fine, none showed for me, they said will squeezed me in. I asked who did the appointment I was told there was no record, should have been quick, took over an hour in something that should have been in and out! If you can't better educate employees then maybe new employees will work better. Or maybe time to try another company, time is money and you cost me to miss another appointment because your lack of scheduling properly. Great doctor and why I keep comming back!

Have two pairs for glasses one regular one sunglass, regular pair lenses were unable to be used in 6 months. Went back to regular business I usually get glasses and ordered replacement lenses. Night and day difference, lenses are address my issues in a much better clarity and do not scratch. Now the sun glasses that do not get used very often or starting to deteriorate. AVOID, any savings up front will cost you in the end.
After waiting 5 hours to finish first visit, then waiting 4 weeks with no call back to pick up,we went in and they were there. The prescription was wrong and had to come back for another exam and wait again to get my glasses that were wrong again.
They gave me my glasses without my Nike case they came with and gave me a vision works case.
600 dollars and I'm done with them.im taking them to another eye doctor to have it done right.
They owe me a case and 600 as far as I'm concerned.
And don't try calling because Noone answers.
So disappointed and disgusted.
I phoned twice today to inquire about possible restricted hours and an adjustment of eyewear purchased there.
Eventually, corporate(I assume)Sam, picked up.He was helpful, once I explained my needs. So when I went later to
Location, Fort Myers Florida, the optomatist assistant, KAREN, rudely said do you have appointment, in an unpleasant tone, I told her I was not informed appointment was needed and my apologies. She asked who told me that. I stated, Sam. She rudely said we have no Sam, have a seat and wait and we will take your temperature. I was wearing mask and gloves. Then she ignored me.Her tone was very rude. She was not busy with anyone else. I work as a health professional in retail setting. If I greeted my patients with such a tone, I would not have patients or customers!
She really should learn to greet customers in a more civil manner. Customers can shop anywhere.
The customer service was the worst I have ever had. Went to pick up glasses. Jennifer, the representative, handed them to me and walked away. She did not check to see if the fit or lenses were correct. When I asked a question, she got smart. Jennifer acted like she was too good to be there serving me. She was wearing ratty blue jeans and a body suit. A real processional. Her manager, Wallesca, was no better. When I called and complained, she said I was lying and said they had offered proper service. She raised her voice, argued with me, and hardly let me get a word in. This is why people like Jennifer and Wallesca have this type of job. No people skills at all. I had a horrible experience, and I will NEVER purchase anything from Visionworks again.
Before I went in I was told over the phone that they accept my insurance so I get there, have my eye exam. Then I picked the frames I like. Then they asked me what insurance I had. They said they don't accept my insurance. I had to pay out of my pocket. That's a dirty business

Made an appointment for 9:30, showed up 10 min early (as I do), waited for an entire hour before I was taken back. Then another 10 min before the actual eye exam. After the eye exam the dr. took me to a lady that gave me a contact, I put the contact in she said without ever looking at me "is the contact in", she then took me to a room to read the eye chart, walked out without saying anything to me, 10 min later I went out and asked if we were done, she replied that the dr. would need to look at the contact another 10 min the dr looks said all good, went out to order contacts and was told that they were on hold with the ins. Company and they suggested that I pay the bill up front and when the ins. Company paid they would reimburse me (fat chance), the entire staff has a bad, condescending attitude. Clearly they think that their time is more valuable than their customers. If your people are so sick and tired of customer service, leave the industry.
I have always gone to visionworks for my contacts and my glasses. I am not sure what is going on but I have purchased contracts the past couple of times and they continue to give me the wrong prescription. I finally got the correct ones last year. I placed any other order and I again got the wrong ones. Not happy with there service.
This chain used to have well trained, knowledgeable, well trained and certified lab employees that could make glasses quickly on-site and troubleshoot with the doctors to help patients see better. They closed all the in store labs two years ago and are now reaping the results of that decision. They used to be industry leaders. Such a shame to see their decline!
Went 5-10-23 at 12:30 pm in the Sioux Falls SD empire mall location to get my glasses adjusted and my customer service was absolutely awful I felt like I was bothering the 2 girls working there.I have always had good service over the years but this time I would have fired them on the spot. I would have liked to have ordered a new pair but I ended up walking out and will either go somewhere else or go another day when my usual guy is there. They really knew as I walked out I wasn't happy with my service
My appointment was at 4:45pm. I came early and ask receptionist if they could see me sooner. Finished paperwork and was waiting for an hour. No one was there, she took 1 hour to put my paperwork in by that time scheduled appointments started to come in. Waste of time
I've tried two different Visionworks locations (Camp Hill, PA & Reading, PA) for Contact Lense Fitting and Annual Eye Exam. They did not look at my registration/scheduling form until I showed up to my appointment... resulting in them expecting me to receive a service I did not register for. I tried calling multiple times before my appointment to make sure everything with my insurance was accurate. Neither location picks up any calls. I will be looking for a different Vision Center in my area. This was a waste of time.

I wish I would have read reviews b4 I went there. Bought 6 pairs from them, and was asked to leave the store, cause I couldn't see out of my new glasses, because they read the prescription wrong. They told me I needed a new prescription. When they told me it was there mistake, I asked 4 my $40 back. That was a problem, and the manager asked me to leave, and I've bought 6 pairs of glasses from them. Really! This isn't the first time I've had problems with them. And corporate is no better. Don't waste your time. They are very poor everything. So long visionworks. My money is going to Warby Parker and Eye Lab.
The Vancouver Mall Vision works sent me emails and texts about appointments from February 1 until morning of appointments February 15... appointments were for 4 people starting at 11:30.11:45,12:00,12:15 to drive an hour and a half to arrive on time to be told that we do not have appointments! I show them thier texts and emails and said it is not their issue! What! These are emails and texts coming from them! Did not apologize did not offer anything... not thier issue!

HORRIBLE service. The eye exams were great, the help finding glasses, great. However, calling them, correcting errors or having a questions horrible. I called and waited on hold for over 1 hr, contacted corporate and was supposed to hear back from a district manager, never contacted. I drove the hour to the location to get the issue fixed. Now, i am trying to order the contacts for my daughter and i cant get anyone on the phone. I actually called while i had my husband standing in the store to see if they were answering but they have the phone on MUTE. MUTE come on, what kind of customer service is that. I dropped over $500 with my daughters and myself even after insurance and we are a family of six. With 3 more still needing to see the eye doctor. I will leave a 1 star on every site I can. I should not have to drive 45 minutes to get a copy of my perscription becuse you wont even answer the phone to verify the prescription you gave me.

Recently got glasses (3/12/20) and shortly there after the protective coating failed epically. Have spent the last 3 days calling both local stores, general mngr and even the 800 San Antonio's number... no one answers. Sent an email expressing my concerns. No reply. Tried using their chatline... once again, no one was there. I'd give them a zero rating if allowed.
Customer Service at it's WORST!
My prescription was completely wrong! I couldn't even read the fast food signs across the street. Literally could see better without my new $300+ glasses. When I reported my problem they couldn't have cared less. NO NEW EYE EXAM NO APOLOGY! Just a quick guess at a new prescription without the extras I paid for such as anti glare and scratch resistant lenses. I know they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee but this was my 7th trip to the store and had actually costed me more in lost work and gas than the glasses cost. The glasses are really low quality and was damaged the day I picked them up. And cause severe migraines when wore for more than a couple hours. I'm writing this review almost a year after purchase because I was reminded of this horrible experience by a mailbox flyer asking me to come back for a yearly checkup. Do not waste your time or money. You could do better buying reading glasses from a drugstore. I know because I've done it
I showed up early to my appt. Only to see someone who was a half-hour late filling out her paperwork--and then being ushered into the exam room, leaving me to wait another 30 minutes (I suppose, I left shortly thereafter). Also, the person who was late did not seem well, with a troubling congestive cough. I didn't even want to stay in the very small waiting room with this person, and eventually left. I found this particularly ironic as I had to answer about 6 questions re: recent "symptoms" of Covid (like cough!) before I was allowed past the barrier.
I only went here because WalMart was busy this week and I thought I would give it a try--big mistake.
Fortunately, I have an appt. At Walmart next week. I realize that this may not be typical of the many offices across the country, but if you are in Salem OR area, avoid this one. I honestly worried all afternoon if I had been exposed to a virus.
I put one star but not even worth the one. As trying to schedule my sons eye exam for 6 months it kept getting canceled with no reason provided. In that time his warranty ran out while wearing broken glasses. Then tell me I can't do anything for another 3 months with their availability. Took my business elsewhere and got better customer service and an appt the next day for eye exam and new glasses
They put a hold on my account so I could not order glasses at Costco. My wife went to her appointment the same day, and she was able to order glasses. I could not. I called Visionworks and they said it would be at least an hour before they could help me. I guess I won't be going back there.
I waited 1 1/2 hours the first time only to have a male customer who came in after me helped first and was told snidely by the manager, "I just got here" when I said I was first. The next appointment with my son, the employee told me that it was cancelled when I confirmed by phone and they sent me a confirmation. I missed an additional confirmation text but confirmed 2 out of 3 and was told this was new company policy. The store was crowded and they may have been behind so the needed someone to go away.
Visionworks in bartonsville pa off of exit 302 on 80west. I had an excellent service. U have lost my glasses after two weeks of having it. Tammy was very ephathic and professional. She really listen to my needs and went Over and beyond to accommodate me with another pair of glasses. Since my insurance did not have a replacement benefit Tammy assist me with getting me much needed glasses. The staff was very forth coming at this location. Everytime I call, they are very helpful and made me feel very valued. I bought my replacement glasses JULY 26,2021. I recommend my sister to go there and I will be bringing her soon.

Visionworks attempted to adjust my new pogressive eye glasses but couldn't get the focus right, which caused dizziness and headache. Per Visionworks, if your glasses aren't perfect, they will fix them. Guaranteed. It turned out, they couldn't fix the problem and we had to keep it with no exchange or refund.
