I went to visionworks in Taylors,SC, to see if they could repair my son's glasses which the puppy took outside and mangled. They were friendly and acknowledged my entrance; my glasses were given to the manager, Kevin, who examined them and said he would try his best to repair them. He worked on them with different tools for a long time and did a fantastic job! I was so pleased! And did not even charge me--amazing! This is The Best shop for glasses I have ever found or used. Great job, Kevin!
Coupon for 50% off. Presented it, was told, prescription was over 1 year old. Coupon denied. Coupon did not state prescription requirement.
Jackie at the Northwoods store in San Antonio, Tx was wonderful! Very professional and patient. Will come back!
After reading all these negative reviews l, I guess I shouldn't be surprise of the outcome of the service I've received after 7 years of being a customer. I seen a lot of red flags but the customer service override the flags. Bad mistake! Run and keep running! From the Watson Rd Location Warner Robins GA Store # 535. Terrance the supervisor told me it was my option if I wanted to make a complaint ( as if he could careless) or not but then gave me a 800 number to the corp office he got from the internet. High priced cheap glasses. Make it make sense. Been waiting on contacts since March and having to go up there for a pair of trials every 30 days. I have to go in and get my glasses adjusted because the frame won't hold firm. The transition lens don't work. Took them back they forgot to activate them and now they must have been deactivated. No have an urgency to correct these issues. Terrence act like he's on it but as you see 4 months have went by, issue to exist. For sure I will definitely go somewhere else come next year but until my prescription expire I would like to receive excellent service. Ive paid out too much money for the last 7 years not to be a VIP customer of this company. After this prescription is expire Terrence can let his ego take him where ever it goes but until then provide customer service, resolve these issues. I trusted you to take care of my vision and you all are not delivering. I really liked Terrance when he came onboard with visionwork but I would have never thought you would have allowed your ego to take over. Now as for my issue with DR Johnson I will be reaching out for clarity on a certain situation then go from there…

The professionalism in this place is ABSURD. I've been going here for a few years, and only keep going back because I have a history here and I think it would be a pain to find a new doctor. Well, I am definitely never returning. I had an appointment on Saturday. I book it online, get an email confirmation, and fill out my paperwork ahead of time, and update my insurance information. I get a phone call about 13 minutes before my appointment, while I was on the way there, that I do not come up in the system under NVA insurance. No kidding. I have VSP. I already updated my information- why am I getting this phone call? I arrive late to my appointment (my fault, I never go out by the outlets and had no idea they were doing construction). I go to check in and this ornery lady says she can't find my appointment. I spend a good five minutes up there while she proceeds to stare at the computer and keep asking me if I have an appointment. I show her my email confirmation and all of a sudden, she magically finds my appointment. She prints out paperwork and tells me to have a seat. I sit down and low and behold, she has printed out the paperwork I have already filled out TWO DAYS BEFORE. I told her this and she tells me one minute, and disappears into the back. At this point, it's already been 10 minutes. She comes back out with someone who proceeds to tell me that the doctor will not see me as I'm late and I did not arrive early to fill out the paperwork. I told her there was no reason for me to arrive early as I have already filled out the paperwork online. She proceeds to tell me again the doctor will not see me because I'm late. Okay, the lack of reasoning here makes no sense. At no point did the other lady who was "helping" me tell me this while she was a) trying to find my apppointment and b) printing out my paperwork for me to fill out. This is clearly a case of she did not want to deal with me or did not like the answers I was giving her and essentially tried to blame everything on me. I am taking my business elsewhere and will warn EVERYONE not to use VisionWorks.
Never ever trust this Backwards Eye Exam Services co. They are big liars and are always ready to rubbing you. Even old US RETIRED CITIZENS.
My wife and I were in need of eyeglasses and our last pair for both of us were purchased through Visionworks.
We kept getting sale vouchers so we both agreed to go again. Their staff seemed friendly enough but wasn't very helpful on helping us to choose the right looking frames for our face. We were left on our own to choose. When it came to our eye exams were we seated in the room in the eye exam chair only to find out the exam was being controlled remotely by someone eye tech trying to find my prescription suited for my and my wifes eyes. We both weren't very thrilled with how that process worked. We both commented to each other after both our exams on how we found it very odd that (this is how they do them now) and both realized that both our exams were done in 15 minutes or less. When done before with the on staff optometrist were more than 1/2 hour each or more. (Part of the problem)
With my glasses I tried for more than a month to wear mine and I was noticing every time I put them on my eyes wanted to go crosseyed and still my left eye would not focus at all. And with driving, and turning my head to the left to look for oncoming traffic I could not focus and had to remove them just to make sure nothing was coming at me. For my wife she had to take her glasses back 2 times because she had ordered transition lenses and was told by the staff (sometimes it takes a little bit for them to transition) gee, why is it mine transitioned immediately when outside?
When she picked them up both times the girl there told her she checked them personally and they were fine. NOT SO!
She never checked them in the first place. Then when they were finally corrected my wife wore them consistently and never felt like they were correct. She tried working on a puzzle and could not see. She put on her old glasses and she could and did complete the puzzle. We just today returned both pairs of glasses for a full refund minus the eye exam, needless to say, we will not be going back to Visionworks and we were both totally disappointed and dissatisfied.
No help waited over an hour to be seen for eye exam WITH an appointment

"DONT COME HERE"
I went in with a prescription (my exam was done elsewhere) just to purchase glasses. I have an EXCELLENT insurance plan! Once I chose my frames, 'Joe' then told me what my bottom line amount due would be. It should have only been a $50 deductible - I was charged $70! Also, when I asked about all of the items listed on the receipt that I NEVER asked for and he NEVER told me he was adding, he said to me "your insurance is great! It covers everything so I gave you everything" without EVER asking me if I wanted the extras or NOT! Maybe I didn't want anti-glare for some reason, or whatever else he charged me for WITHOUT MY CONSENT!
I made the mistake of making an appointment for my husband to get an eye exam and pick out new glasses. When we arrived 15 minutes early for his appointment, the Mays Landing location was ALREADY AN HOUR BEHIND! Then, the first person to check him in handed him a clipboard trying to UPSELL his exam to which he said 'no thank you'. Half an hour later, Carla approached him and proceeded to hand him the same clipboard and AGAIN tried to UPSELL his eye exam to which my husband said "no thank you" again. The third time she shoved the clipboard in his face and TOLD him he had to sign it, he got up and we WALKED OUT THE DOOR! We even confirmed with the first person (who was very nice) that there was no place to OPT OUT of the UPSELL exam and Carla did tell her if someone does not want it that they don't have to sign. So why then, did she shove the clipboard in my husband's face not once, but twice telling him he HAD TO SIGN for it?!? Then she got nasty, gave him attitude, flipped her ponytail and huffed away to the counter, never checking him in for his exam! If you haven't already visited a Visionworks (our first experience with them) I would URGE anyone to do their homework, read the awful reviews, then run to another eyecare company! We certainly will NEVER return nor will we ever recommend Visionworks!
