I got this is as a gift and it works fantastic, but i am not sure I would spend so much on a blender. However if it lasts forever as they claim then the price is quite cheap. My cousin states that his is still going after 10 years
There is no way I could so easily be an organic gmo free, vegan without my vitamix. I tell people if want to live a long and happy life, drink distilled water and consume green smoothies with your vitamix! I love my VitaMix, very grateful!
I love, love the vitamix. I no longer have to drink the shelf life ready juices, apple sauce etc. I make my own. The motor is more powerful than my car. I make soups, sauces, salsa, smothies, shakes, peanut butter, almond milk so easy.
Everyone needs a vitamix "new mothers please get one!".
I purchased my Vitamix from Costco a few months back and am totally pleased with my purchase. Overall the product is top notch - I had used them about 10 years ago when working for a coffee roaster and knew I would buy one eventually. Whether I'm making sorbet or a smoothie the machine is easy to use, clean and store. I keep mine out on the counter at all times so it's easy to drop stuff in and eat or drink something delicious. I've made soups and tested a lot of their recipes. If you want a blender that knocks all others out of the water buck up and pay for the good stuff! **I had a "Ninja" (it was a gift from someone that didn't want to buy a Vitamix) for about 30 days and cut my hands every time I washed that damn thing - it really was a ninja...(sliced me up). *I gave it back to the person that gave it to me letting them know while it was a great thought I just couldn't keep it and didn't want to donate it. I gave them a box of band-aids too!
I bought a Vitamix for $500 more than 7 years ago from Costco. At that time they said it has a lifetime warranty. So we bought one.
However couple of days ago, there was a noise and some smoke while I was running it. So I stopped immediately and upon remover the jar found loose ball bearings. I think the motor blade was also affected. Since it had a lifetime warranty I called Vitamix. They asked me for the serial number and said the warranty was only for 7 years and it was past my warranty. They said the problem was with the jar and it would cost me $125. This is more than a new blender I could buy at Costco. What I am trying to say is it is a ripoff. Don't get fooled by their sales pitch. Its a lot of money to pay for a blender. We bought it as my husband got carried away by their sales pitch.
