Can I actually get a job here without getting a premium pack?
For $499 is too much for one to pay that way, that too in the beginning itself!

The site allows clients to bid down industry standard rates to pitiful amounts.
The site is also incredibly convoluted especially on the client side.
The customer service management is a joke.

We have recently updated our Voice Over Rate Sheet which is backed by data on actual buying patterns and behaviors to inform clients on industry rates, which can be found here: https://www.voices.com/rates. In addition, we encourage talent to submit quotes that are reflective of the value of their services, even if it is in excess of a client's budget. It is then up to the client to make an informed hiring decision, balancing the quality of the performance against their budgetary requirements.

I have been a member of Voices.com for many years. But voice over work has changed considerably over the last 10 years. There is more competition and different payment models, that means Voices.com can no longer justify their extortionate premium fee. I earnt more from another site in 2 years, than I did over 10 with voices.com and why I left. Good site, but you need to change your payment model in my view.

Be vary of high premium fees.

They charge you to simply apply for jobs. This website adds no value to anyone in this particular industry. At no point is this made clear in their ads or on their website that you must pay in order to apply for the jobs. Because this is a scam website, BEWARE: I assume they take the voice recordings that people provide then use the 'auditions' for profit based on their TOS.

The best way to maximize these opportunities is to fully fill out your profile and add high-quality demos so that clients can see what you're capable of. Once you feel you're ready to move to the next level, our premium membership, which does come with a cost, provides daily job opportunities that match a talent’s profile and skill set, sent to the talent directly. Shady and predatory business: this company, despite their kind employees, is not worth your time. Managed jobs totally lack transparency so they can pocket huge commissions on your budget: 40-50% on average, up to 90%. Run.

Full out scam that rides on the talents of others, in now way does any real talent company charge to get auditions. This is a corporate scam, made to bleed out those who are talented, best to start your own website and go freelance, makes a ton more money than having some scam rape you of your talents.
They also pay for 5 star reviews. One company has come forward exposing this information. So to trust any 5 start review would be stupid.

I've been doing voice over professionally for more than 15 years and have used several online agencies. Without a doubt, voices.com is the best site available, particularly for new and part-time talent looking to break into the industry. I'm a big fan of the voice match function, the email notification system and the escrow payment program which protects talent from inexperienced or unscrupulous voice seekers. Voices.com customer service is top-notch and its resource library is unparalleled. I encourage all voice over artists to join voices.com and I assure you the cost of the premium subscription is absolutely worth access to so many great voice over jobs.

I have been hoping to carve out a niche as a character voice actor as I feel this is where my strengths are. Recently, I auditioned for a job involving character voices for a children's educational video game and I landed the gig. Success! There were several parts to be voiced, including various monsters (not so scary ones!), a concerned father and a narrator. It was a great experience, lots of fun, I got to express my character acting skills and the client was very pleased with the results! Hoping for much more of the same in the future!

Our company started using your service due to several studios closing in our area, also because of the lower competitive pricing options.
So far our experience has been nothing short of pleasant!
Ian Callander, one of Senior Management Reps, and Jennifer Mason, our Project Administrator, are always helpful and answers any question we had.
They walk us through the process and are attentive in tending to our needs and our clients needs.

I admit I was a bit skeptical going from in-studio recording with talent to shifting over to the voices.com model. But it's made us more productive and put a wealth of talent at our fingertips that we'd never have had access to.
Their team is very responsive and they go out of their way to make sure you're happy. They are my go to recording service and a true secret weapon for casting some amazing talent.

Voices.com has been an amazing springboard to the start of my voice over career. I knew I wanted to make the change from the dull, 9-5 workday to full-time voice acting, and Voices has helped tremendously. Cameron impresses as someone who can talk to anyone, novice or expert, about audio and performance. He does have a wealth of knowledge, as to be expected from his training, but the personal touch he gives in explaining and encouraging talent gave me a far greater boost than can usually be expected in a forty-minute coaching session. I love Voices.com. This is my full time job, and I make a living at it! So may jobs avail every day. The auditions are easy. The Clients have always been wonderful. And the staff at Voices, from the project managers to the admin staff all the way up to the president (who yah returned my emails personally when I had a question) are just the best. They started out as a good platform for talent many years ago, but like so many stories of greed, this one takes a familiar path; exploit talent and squeeze them for every cent you can. They not only take annual dues from talent, but take a percentage of the talent fees as well?! Brazen theft IMO. They've also been accused of padding the fees without Informing the talent. This is the very last place any voice over artist should patronize.

Had a phone conversation with Cameron Pocock today, and he was a verifiable hero in terms of the guidance I needed. We spoke on the basics of using the Voices.com platform, best practices when auditioning, helpful tips to assist me where I'd asked for help, and genuinely collaborated on where I can move forward from there.
In terms of being a pay-to-play industry in the beginning, I'm glad I found Voices.com as a place to start from, and as I book work I know Cameron et al will have my back.
