I've dabbled with voices.com for a few months but have gotten more free time recently to do more auditions.
I also have a consult with Cameron, who was very helpful, supportive and encouraging to me in my efforts to make a couple bucks.
At this point I'd be happy to recoup my subscription fee and make a few bucks, just to prove that I can make money off my voice. If I can take it to another level of income, all the better!

I've worked with voices.com for a couple of years. The customer service is phenomenal. When I haven't been paid by a client, voices.com's service rep contacts the client to aid in getting my payment. The service reps have also helped me with my profile to make me more marketable. The website is a little expensive for artists, but it can pay off if you book enough work.

Voices.com is my go-to resource for voices, whenever I need a VO recorded well and fast. The team there (three cheers for Bonnie and Jess) are responsive, courteous, efficient and extremely helpful in finding the right voices and making sure records are done exactly as needed. I could not sing their praises enough and will always use them for all my VO needs in English (and Spanish!).

Auditioning for a VO part is the same as with any other acting role where you show up for the audition and you see 50 other people in the room with you going for the same part. The only difference with VO work is we don't get to see the other people, but they're there. Voices keeps sending the auditions your way. Lots of them. All day long. It's up to you to submit a great proposal and a killer demo.

Cameron was really lovely to talk to and very helpful. Even while we were chatting and changing my bio more auditions popped up on the site. That's exactly how I would describe my interaction with Kelly on the other end of the Voice line a few days ago. I felt like I had so many questions, and even felt like I may have asked her the same question a couple times, some questions seemed remedial, but, through it all Kelly was calm, cool, and collected.
Kelly came across like I was her only "situation" for the whole day, and I could take as long as I needed. Never once did I feel rushed. Hopefully all of Voices "help" personnel are like Kelly, and if not, then they should be. Kelly definitely deserves the 5 stars I gave her and her service.

The math is bad for talent on this site. They charge voice seekers to hire you on top of the annual membership fee you pay them, plus brokerage fees they charge you each time to obtain work. They also handle all invoicing and act as a middle-man, so you don't enjoy the advantage of a ongoing, personal relationship with the client. Do your research on this one.

I have used Voices.com several times before, but with enough time to review auditions and then move into the record session. This project was much tighter on time and Voices.com came through for me quickly and professionally. I needed to cast character voices and tag lines. And complete this project within 24 hrs. Voices.com not only met my deadline of providing several auditions, but within 2 hrs. After my selection, I was having my record session with my voice actor. Voices.com really came through for me on this project. Everyone I work with at Voices.com have been courteous and professional. They are truly an asset to have on your team.

Everyone at Voices.com have made my entry into the voice-over world so amazing. I love working with them. I've been in marketing for 17 years and I don't think I've seen better client/talent services anywhere.

I know that each voice over artist has their own specific method of replying to auditions. After all it is a numbers game, right! But don't loose track of what makes that audition morph into a paying job. Your style of delivery and emotion, pacing and recording quality are a given. But most importantly, as you're blazing through some 20 or more auditions per day take a minute to focus on what the client is asking for. It payed off for me just the other day with a client in Germany representing "Office 365"... they accepted the audition as the final read. They said they were very happy with the audition and there was no need to do anything more. To which I, ah... Agreed!

I have been working with Voices.com for several years and for me it work has got better and better.
Voices.com looks after the interests of talents at all times.
I'd like to mention though that I have a lurking feeling that some of the leads that come to you from India have a game going. They get longish demos done in lndian languages, which appear complete and usable. There may be no more than 4-5 responses, in some cases even a single response and the job never comes through. My conjecture is they use it for free. But I guess there is not much you can do about this. I often refrain from doing demos for such suspect leads.

Not so often I can say something like this from a service and website, but voices.com is apart. You need them, they are always there to help. The service is reliable, payments occur in timely manner and their team is always working to improve the website to make it user-friendly. I am a member for over 10 years and I saw the company growing substantially since then. They know the voiceover business and all changes that are made always have both sides interest in mind (actors and voice clients). I don't think I could go without them in our constant evolving world - they have seriously contributed to my success.
