Any "professionally managed" job automatically takes 50% of more of the talent budget. All they do is literally send you their favorite auditions via email, whereas the "self service" jobs, all the auditions are sent to you. That's how they justify $500 commission on a $1,000 job. They exploit talent on a daily basis.

I tried voices.com years ago, but wasn't ready to commit to a voice over career. Even then, I remember the service being great. I was going to join your competition, but the service is what brought me back.
There's one thing that a lot of companies miss; continuity. Voices.com started out from day one with superior service; they didn't hound me with a ton of solicitous emails daily; just gave me the information I needed, and left more than one method of contact information. The service level remains the same. Top notch. And everyone I know says the same thing: great service.
Lastly, I LOVE the fact that I have one person who answers my questions: Josh. He always responds promptly, with clear, simple answers. I don't spend my money with anyone who doesn't give great service, and I am extremely impressed; from the service, to the website. I got my new equipment, and I'm about to start rocking and rolling with Voice.com!

I recently completed two voice over jobs for a client who I'd previously worked with on a prior company video. Without first paying me for the work, the client sent the two finished projects onto the end user, who posted them on their company website.
I found those videos, and immediately reached out to the client to release payment. When he didn't respond, I reached out to Matt Webb at Voices.com for help. He sent a message to the client, and gave them two weeks to respond. When the two weeks went by without reply, Matt initiated immediate release of payment.
Without his help, I'd still be waiting to get paid for my work. Say what you will about VDC, but they do know how to take care of their talents. Thanks again, Matt!

I had a need to forward some audition samples the other day and I found every sample except the one I wanted. I had deleted the file and there was no way to get my recording from the audition site to my desktop so I could email it. I ended up calling technical support and reached Kelly Matthews who, not only forwarded me a copy of my audition but she did in such a fast and professional way. She had such a great attitude and sense of humor she made solving my problem seem like it was the most important thing she had to do all day. Thanks Kelly.

It may be a Canadian way of conducting business or the way the staff at Voices.com are. I'm not yet a paid member. I've called to learn more about the voice over industry and each time I'm greeted with a warm Candian hello followed with a ton of information to become better informed. It's great to feel supported and not pressured to buy a membership. The staff really are passionate about working for the company and seem very happy. It's like hearing their smiles over the phone.
You don't see or hear this much anymore these days. Maybe this is a Canadian trait.

Ian and Jessica at Voices.com have provided me with a great variety of talent for several TV spots and radio spots. They are both very professionaly yet fun to work with and incredibly available and prompt in their responses. The talent they send over is always spot on and if we have a problem they get it fixed quickly for us or if we need an additonal line recorded. I love working with them and would not consider working with another VO team. I cannot say enough good things about these two and how much they have gone above and beyond for me!

Trying to be succesful in voice acting isnt easy and it doesnt lend itself to the lazy, or impatient but the staff at Voices.com do everything they can to help you succeed as much as possible. I have yet to have a bad experience with anyone on their team!

Had a consultation with Cameron Pocock earlier this week. I appreciated the time he spent before the call as well as the time spent with me on the call. He gave me insight into some best practices for the site, helped my tweak some things on my profile, and went over bidding for jobs. Another thing that I liked, is that he didn't over promise anything. In other words, I obviously still need to audition and yes maybe some clients won't listen to every audition, but that is their prerogative, what I can control is how my profile looks, how my demos and auditions sound, and what things I can do to move into the 100% match territory. Solid advice to help me in my career.

Even during the periods where I wasn't getting work, it was invaluable to submit to Voices nearly every day. The continual use and development of my voice was invaluable. And, of course, actually getting gigs was pretty great, too.
With union membership, I can no longer submit here, and I will greatly miss the help and inspiration Voices gave me on a regular basis.

I am extremely pleased with the people & the service at voices.com. As a voice-over industry vet, I wasn't certain what to expect when I signed up a year ago, but I have nothing but glowing remarks. The staff are friendly, profesh & helpful, the site is intuitive and the work offered fits with what I was looking for. Yes, you have to audition early and often and keep at it. But that just makes you a better voice over artist, doesn't it? Bottom line: my ROI was totally worth it.
