None of the customer service reps speak English well enough to understand them. Green Dot bank should not be allowed to represent itself as a bank. It is NOT a bank. They do not know how to handle simple issues such as a charge that was a mistake & voided by the merchant. They have charged me a $15 overdraft fee on a voided transaction? What kind of crap is that? I'm gonna get a Chime card & throw this Walmart card in the trash.

Today I checked my account because I had a missed call (they called me successfully 4 times in a row, I'm an in home nurse so I couldn't answer) I stepped outside to have a smoke and while I was waiting I checked my account and it showed a fraudulent post disappeared but money was not returned) so I asked the agent where my money was and he asked the amount, I said not sure if the amount, (mind you incredibly frustrated I had a very bad day) he gets sharp and says "you don't even know the amount?" So I asked if he was getting short with me haha he started stuttering like porky pig so I asked again "are you getting short with me?" He asks me to stay professional so I respond you are a hypocrite dude! Just hung up on the dude. Still waiting for a phone survey, let's hope for your case I don't get one haha! Y'all lucky I was on break at work or I would've waited for a manager! He got worried when I said I have to go back to my patient so you're lucky I don't have time to wait for a manager. :)

This is a scamm
Untrustworthy. I couldn't use my card. After purchasing I wanted to just have direct dep. On the back of the card is a cust. Service #. I called. They sent me to a website I filed out a form With #SS address etc I created an acct.
However, the money wasn't t to be found. Walmart, said they don't refund. There's an acct # inside the package. However, it's bankers are Green dot. No cust. Service to take to. There website say errors. Continue to start over putting you formation. However, your not registering the card.
I pushed Management to refund my money after four hours of no communications. Don't do it...

I am a 70 yr old disabled Vietnam vet who tried to withdraw $ from an ATM that I didn't know was broken. After not getting my money then calling the bank, they said funds would be returned in 24 hrs. GreenDot is telling me I won't get my $ for 45 days! This happened on the 4th of June! I get paid once a month! That is all the money I have for food,gas,and bills for the MONTH! And I won't see any back until AFTER I get paid next month! WTH? Been with them for over 10 years, now I'm rethinking that choice.

DONT DO IT RIP OFF. Look this card is a rip off. They charge you a hell'va of alot of fees on ovedraft protection. If you place a delivery order and the deliver doesn't show up they put you thru hell about getting a refund. Place order June 14th 2023 never got order they place a pending refund dated for June 26,2023, I ve been without food ever since and they don't give a dam. This is stealing Ive told all my employees to get rid of this card as we will no longer be doing any business with Walmart delivery any,more SHIPT (WINNDIXIE) & PUBLIX much more reliable stick with Walmart money card and this could be you next. Also there Portal for checking Balances doesn't work half the time. All these SOB will offer is a $10.00 promo card while Im sitting here starving $#*! Walmart. DON'T DO I SWEAR THIS IS THE GOSPEL TRUTH.

I had a pending deposit from my job almost a month ago. Still haven't gotten it and it doesn't even show anymore. I did take a screen shot. Anyways I have called and called. I get no help. I ask them about my deposit at first you will get it in 5 to 7 days. Now they don't see it and it's somehow my jobs fault. Mind you I have been paid 2 more times and haven't gotten them either. I am trying to figure this out. That's a lot of money they are just taking. Do not use this for anything. They suck and don't want to help.

I generally don't like to do reviews based on one experience or issue, but this was so deserving I couldn't pass the opportunity. I used to have an open account until one day I was out shopping, and received an alert of a point of sale charge against my card at a Starbucks in Seattle, WA, A FEW minutes after a gift purchase at a store in my hometown (one of many that day). I immediately phoned to dispute the charge as I didn't drink Starbucks coffee and would never spend $40 there- and asked that it be refunded back to my card. After a year of going back and forth, opening cases, and being transferred around to multiple "departments" (none of which ever wanted to tell me exactly their function or why I was transferred to them) I gave up- something I think was the plan all along- and removed the remainder of the funds from the card and attempted to close the account. To compound the issue, I was told I would have to fax or mail the request to close the account (?) - ok. I immediately faxed it over while on the phone and of course you have to wait for the faxes to be distributed and processed before they can document and process the request. Long story short, I literally had to get rude before anything happened and that was still weeks following the request. Fast forward to almost 2-almost 3 years later, I received a "notification" that the dispute had been resolved in my favor and the funds refunded on a card I had closed, was told had been closed, only to discover it had not! To add insult to injury, they had the audacity to tell me to log into the account and close it so that the funds would be refunded by check. (You can't make this stuff up) well, it gets even better, they then began deducting the monthly charges for the card from the refund of the fraudulent charges until nothing was left because my information had changed (phone, etc.) the code sent to update my password kept going to an old phone number & I couldn't add a new one even with other identifying factors. Long story short, be careful with this card because unlike most, it is insanely difficult to get any justice and true customer service or support. I've said my peace and only hope that you are careful with using this card and service should you dare to chance your hard earned money to it. I leave you with a great line from a great movie, "May the odds ever be in your favor".

Note: I would've displayed the letter, but I believe I ripped it to shreds after hearing they were deducting their fees from an account that was supposed to be closed.

The worst bank ever. Customer service will lie to you, They don't like Americans so when you call its bad. I had problems with them and my card being on the dark web. They hold your funds, its a solid mess. I couldnt access my account for hrs 6/7/23. No access online or the app, and I couldnt get my pay.

I only had the card for three days and now I'm charged a six dollar fee. I think it's bull$#*!. I called to try and get my money back and cancel my card altogether they would not do it. I'll never use them again.

Purchase something on Amazon, notice that I had to change the address after I purchased it for the order was complete. I canceled it. Normally seeing how I didn't purchase a product yet I shouldn't be charged 5 days goes by. Still haven't got my money back in my account. Call up on the 5th day and I'm told I have to wait six more days on top of the five already to get my money back for something I didn't even purchase. Called twice. Each person gave me two different answers. One blaming amazon and the other saying well. It's on hold until the 25th. Long story short, once I get my refund that's it. This card ain't worth the trouble. Things are kind of sheisty if you ask me. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Walmart money card

I purchased a money card from Walmart, put 445.00 on it, kept the receipt. The money was never put on the card and when I tried to contact the Walmart customer service for the money card with the receipt, I was told that the receipt didn't match the card purchased. I have been fighting ever since, customer service won't help. I recommend that don't buy the money card from Walmart, they took my money and nothing but headache in return.

I guess it's basically the same story I am learning their are hundreds orore people getting scammed and I guess stealing money from people who work HARD for their money, trusting all american walmart to treat their customers like they matter we are the customes and I know we are not going to lie down and take this sort of abuse! I need my rent paid and should be able toh have access to My My money...I am so pissed off I have never had such poor shady service like this...
