I decided to give the card a shot after a divorce so I could start a new. It wasn't too bad untill they locked my account because of "unusual behavior" (I had bought a Soda using the card on a vending machine.).
I called the very obviously outsourced customer service and all they could do is tell me to wait for my card to arrive. The week has passed and I still haven't recived my card and I can't even use the app to pay my bills which will be due soon.
Look somewhere else for a debit card because this is a sad excuse of a "bank"

I'm having a meltdown

It's been almost two weeks and I still can't access my money. I've called and called only to be transferred and put on hold for hours. When someone finally answers I can't understand a word they're saying. I have bills and utilities due and can't even pay them. My only option now is to file a lawsuit against both companies because this is not acceptable

Have had this card for 7 or 8 years and it has been ok. Recently I cannot access my money and every time I call their customer service and after waiting hours I get told there is a problem with their system and they are trying to resolve it. All I get is apologies, excuses, or get hung up on. This is unacceptable, I have bills to pay, need groceries and am getting late fees all because I can't access my money.

Theives

They are holding my money along with other people and not telling us why! People are going to lose Thor vehicles and houses over some bull crap that they don't want to even recognize. For 6 days now people haven't been able to access their money if I could I'd give them a negative 5 star review. They will be sued over this. I'd advise anyone with a working card to withdraw their money and find a different bank!

I have had no issues until now, my account had funds, tried purchasing and was declined,ok so called the #. Got through 1x, didn't have my account #. So I have been trying to contact again,1 1/2 hrs later nothing. Been 2 days now now answer,tried chat same. Very frustrating!

I had a moneycard for 19 years and overall it was average until you had an issue. It would take over an hour on hold to talk to a customer service representative, the online chat option only worked 10% of the time and they never answer emails. GreenDot still owes me $700 from deposits that came through but never reached my account balance. Been waiting over 2weeks. So DONT GET THIS CARD!

The absolute worst company to work with, terrible customer service and straight thieves. With in the last year my card was compromised three times. One time I just got the new card never used or even placed on the internet and the card was compromised (Walmart Money Card/ Green Dot Bank) were the only one's that had the card information. They have thieves I believe that sale your card information. Stay away from:
(Walmart Money Card/ Green Dot Bank) Period. Bad News

They have been holding peoples money hostage the past 3-5 days. I believe they are trying to keep the problem hush since the only thing it is saying on the website is long call times. Being blunt I also believe Walmart MoneyCard believes their customers are of a certain socio economic status and will not have the power to do anything about it. At this point it's criminal and everyone needs to contact your states Attorney General and make a complaint. That what they are there for. Don't let them get away with this.

Where's my money

I have been waiting for over 24 hours to access my money...been told some issues and they are working on resolving...in the meantime I can't get anyone to answer a phone and I am being charged late fees for a bill I can't pay because I can't get my money...Would not recommend this card to anyone

They commit Theft

Have been using this card for years to pay my bills until today, I logged on Facebook to send money to my mom to help out with a bill, but instead of the money being send it was denied 3 times with Facebook keeping records, however some how the money disappeared from my account & also some how the card failed to record the record of this money being removed only added, so in my transactions it shows where I put the money on the card but not where the money mysterious vanished too so at this point I'm left with no other option then to believe the card company itself stole the money an didn't track there fore I highly highly recommend not using this company any longer! & will most definitely be looking into suing for the theft they committed cause once again where they f*cked up was they recorded the money being uploaded but not removed it just disappeared, literally almost any other card company at this point is easily 10 times better than Walmart money card.

Who does this

1800.00 dollars just disappears from my account and their only excuse is they are having technical issues.
I have no access to my funds and according to the 19 calls I made it was mentioned on several occasions that ALL their customers are having trouble.

So ur telling me that for 3 days your customers have had Absolutely no access to their cash!

I put my direct deposit onto this card every two weeks, and they are always turning off my overdraft when needed, and then you have to wait almost a month to use again. Then they start charging you fees even if you put the money back into your account within 24 hours you get hit with overdraft fees anyway. When speaking with customer service, all they do is copy and paste the script to the screen, and will keep reiterating the same response over and over, when you ask them to make it make sense.
I had no overdrafts since they recently turned it on the 16th, one yesterday, and now it's back off again, the script stating that the 11th overdraft (all new to me). So unable to use again until the 16th of this month. I will be moving my direct deposit elsewhere. Glad I didn't send them any referrals, and I've deposited a lot of money with this company.

Find another card that doesn't charge you for the use of their overdraft feature, and also that does not punish you for using it.

Filing a lawsuit

Does Walmart MoneyCard/Greet Dot think that they can continuously take people's money with no recourse? I think not. You have been on the "bad list" for way too long and must be shut down. You are fraudulent, take advantage of poor people with badcredit and must be shut down. I will make it my business to make sure that you never take advantage of another poor person. ZERO STARS. Don't get a Walmart moneycard. Is is a scam. Greendot steals your money. Customer support lies through their teeth and is unsupportive and extremely incompetent, and they barely speak English.

I receive my direct deposits onto Walmart MoneyCard and I noticed every time it was time to receive a direct deposit if I had overdraft then Walmart MoneyCard wouldn't give me 24 hrs to clear my overdraft they would go on and apply the $15 overdraft fee. This particular time this morning they did it and I was on top of it when it came to my phone and I called them and not to my surprise they came up with they don't have to give my 24 hrs so I begged the differ and the agent hung up in my face. I would not refer anyone to use Walmart MoneyCard. From my experience I would say stay away…. Run away or pay attention to what's going on with your account.

I lost my card and had to order a replacement. I paid my lost card fee and waited the 10-12 days for it to arrive. 12 days passed and no card, I waited a couple more days in case of a USPS slip up. Lo and behold no card. I call their CS, order another card that was supposed to expedited. That card failed to appear and according to FedEx it was never shipped. So now I'm going on 3+ weeks of which two paychecks have been direct deposited and I still can't get my own damned money! And they want me to order another card. I do believe I'll be closing my account instead.
