Walmart card

Horrible horrible Walmart card you can do anything they over charge you then you have to wait for hours for a rep then they can't change your information so you can create an account, to connect to your cash it is a mess to inconvenient frustrating to cash app. They resp can't update your information. They are horrible don't want your time with this card a extremely big hasle ugh

Let people steal money out of my account and wont let me access the rest of my money. Says 3 weeks! Let them change all my account information and blames the pandemic for not having SECURE card
This is not a SECURE card and they will let people steal your money and do nothing.
I live off SSI and they froze my account and stole money and i have no way to live! No money and they refuse to help!

Walmart money card
September 12, 2022

I made a purchase to online walmart on aug 22,2022 for $52.29 (school supplies). I ended up canceling my order about an hour later (before it even left the store) and I waited 2 weeks before calling them. The first time I called, I was told that someone would contact me back. Second time I called, I was told that Walmart refunded my money but my institution was holding it which is why it wasn't on my card and I had to call my institution (walmart/green dot). I called them and talked to a lady who asked for the amount, my order # and everything, said she could see the transaction and everything. She told me it should be on my card within 2 business days and that Never happened. I've called them 2x today, told them I screenshotted everything, explained the situation and was hung up on both times after being told that they don't see any transaction from aug 22nd. I told my mom about it and she said to open a bank account bc she and many others have had the same issue with that card.

I have NEVER been so frustrated in my life. I've received direct deposit and can't reach anyone in customer service because their automated system disconnects on you because they are experiencing technical difficulties. However these same technical difficulties are stating it shouldn't impact your ability to use your card WHICH they are and I'm pissed! I will NEVER buy another one of these cards soon as I'm available to take my funds off!

I receive my direct deposits onto Walmart MoneyCard and I noticed every time it was time to receive a direct deposit if I had overdraft then Walmart MoneyCard wouldn't give me 24 hrs to clear my overdraft they would go on and apply the $15 overdraft fee. This particular time this morning they did it and I was on top of it when it came to my phone and I called them and not to my surprise they came up with they don't have to give my 24 hrs so I begged the differ and the agent hung up in my face. I would not refer anyone to use Walmart MoneyCard. From my experience I would say stay away…. Run away or pay attention to what's going on with your account.

I ordered my card on August 12th because i was being charged for stuff while i was at work. That night when i got home i called and reported it which was only around 20dollars. Well they said they sent a card out i waited 10days called back, then i was told they was sorry system was down they was sending one expedited give it 3 to 5 days. Called back every 3 to 5 days since. Its now Saturday September 23rd they have 1700 dollars of mine and I still dont have my card or any access to my money. They are rude when i call,tell me to be patient,there is nothing they can do. They are not helpful at all. Im still waiting on my card. No 1 will help me. Bills are due. I have the money to pay them but green dot bank will not give me my money or send my card.

They never answer the phone if it's late, even though it's supposed to be 24 hours. They just hang up on you. You'd think Walmart could afford to hire people that live in America

Had a hotel stay on 10/9/20 where I had two charges my on my card. One for the hotel stay and the other for $115 for a pending deposit. Walmart told me the funds would be credited back to my account after 31 days. Today I spoke with two reps Eva bag#******* and then supervisor Heide bag#*******. Eva told me I was never charged so there is nothing to refund and that they deleted the transaction from my account (Wow- how do you delete history.) I got online with the supervisor who apologized for Eva given me the wrong information and said the money was credited back but I just can't see it. I proceeded by saying, that makes no sense. Why would you credit money back and not post it for me to see? Heidi then advised I would just have to add up all of my transactions to confirm if the $115 was added back to my account. I have used this payroll card since 2013 and have ran into a couple issues but nothing like this one. I'm normally not one to leave a review but the fact that we are in a pandemic and to have a wealthy company like Walmart do business like this and not have a legit explanation as to why is unacceptable and not a company I can continue to support. My account will be closed on Monday after my last deposit. Please see photos below.

I've had the Walmart MoneyCard for about a year and I mostly use it for online purchases; it feels safer to me than using my credit or debit card for internet transactions. I had used it without any issues until I tried to order something from an international vendor based in Australia. My transaction got declined multiple times despite repeated attempts by phone and chat with Walmart MoneyCard representatives to have the problem fixed. Every time I would be told that a case report was made and that I should try to make the purchase again in an hour. I'd do that, only to find that I was still being declined. Finally a representative informed me that they limit or altogether block international transactions based on country or merchant to protect customers from fraudulent activity. Okay, but if I'm telling them that I want to use the money in MY card to do business with a certain merchant and it's not an illegal item, why do they think they still have to protect me? It's my money! I had last loaded a specific amount into my card precisely to make the purchase with this vendor, and now I find out I can't. I think it's ridiculous that they get to decide for customers where and how they are allowed to make purchases.

Well I signed up to Walmart money card basically being promised an early deposit. Instead of an early or even normal/realistic timeline they give me a day late then my government benefits should have posted. I actually getting paid 6 days later then all my friends or even my old bank do not use walmart money card 7 calls 7 different promises never one straight answer only empty promises and denies claims of early pay FOR GOVERNMENT BENEFITS

In December 2021 an attempt was made by someone to make an unauthorized purchase with my account information. This attempt was made at walmart.com. Since then, I have made at least 25 calls in an effort to get this security hold released so that I may once again purchase from walmart.com.

This is very important to me. I am 74 years old and disabled. I get paid once a month and because I don't wish to be any more of a burden to my daughter than necessary, I order my groceries once a month for curbside pickup.

Personally, if I never had to buy anything from Walmart, I'd be pleased. However, with my very limited income, the $40 to $50 I am forced to spend at any other grocery store is a real problem.

I have received NO help with this. Any efforts to move up the management ladder in an effort at resolution have been met with nothing but frustration. The customer service people, I can tell, are doing their best, but to no avail. Accents are thick and difficult to hear.

My advice is to go elsewhere.

I bought this card because I misplaced my usual and I'm on the road so this seemed convenient. I loaded my money and proceeded to go online to buy a plane ticket. Card was blocked. Spent 4 days blocked. They finally unlocked it an Expedia won't accept it. I couldn't use my points. I had to accept a later flight at a higher cost through a different service. I cannot get cash back I cannot use an ATM. I get declined nearly everywhere I've tried to use it. The customer service is AWFUL and just like others have testified here they got their monthly service fee before locking it down. Even the voice on the prerecorded menu has a snotty disposition. I'LL NEVER USE GREENDOT OR WALMART AGAIN.

Helpless

My card was compromised on 10/17/22. A new one was sent, I was not given the option of an Express delivery. 10 days goes by, nothing. The post office lost my card. I have zero access to my money, I'm not allowed to generate a barcode to go into a Walmart money center to pick up money. At this point I've racked up almost $200 just late fees because I can't pay my bills, my rent is now past due, that's going to cost me another $600 in late fees, I have no food in my fridge I'm a single mom and I work hard for my money. My phone is now shut off because I can't pay the bill. I have been a customer of theirs for 15 years! I ordered another card yesterday, thinking I could generate a barcode through the app, as I was told via email by a representative. No option was given for a barcode. I called customer service, they told me to call back within 24 hours so that I can get a barcode. Great, I thought. I call back 24 hours later and I'm told that my card is not eligible for a barcode. Wtf? How the hell can you treat people like this, give me MY money! Their fraud detection department is a total joke. This whole thing has cost me over $1,000. My kids an I are hungry, what happens if I have an emergency? This is criminal. I feel helpless.

Horrible customer service

Something was wrong with online account tried to contact Walmart money card and green dot neither one would answer phone. So I called Walmart they couldn't help either so looked online since number on back of card would not work and got scammed thank God no money was got from either of my accounts but had to pay for new phone plus new plan and cancel all social media I lost everything. When I called corporate and finally got someone they just offered a new card and basically told me they were not responsible for my getting scammed only they were because there should be a number on the back of that card where you can get a living breathing person and none of this would have happened because of them not wanting to pay customer service reps to answer a phone I had to look online for a number and it just happened to be a false Walmart site I will never use this card again Walmart is getting $#*!ty with all their customer service I think from now on I will take my business elsewhere

I called the customer service to change my address since that option was blocked on the online account management portion. There is a two step verification process before I can access my account online, still because of security reasons they claim I am unable to change my address online. I needed to call customer service. I called customer service who told me that because of security reasons I needed to take a picture of my drivers license and a current bill in my house that shows my new address and email it to them, an account manager would review my request and decide if one my address would be charged on my account and if a new card would be sent to me. This process could take up to two weeks. I called multiple time to check the status of my request and the customer service representatives hung up on me multiple times.

This company know that majority of their customers are ** so they come up with these ridiculous clause, if there's online access which has verification process, customers should be able to change their address online as advertised. This is the worse card and I've never been so humiliated and made to feel like a second class citizen and denied access to my funds. Please do not buy this card! You will regret it! Stay away from this one.

Stole my money
May 31, 2021

WalMart green dot money card stole $896 from me. ATM malfunctioned and didn't dispense any money said approved then the ATM completely shut off while NOT dispensing anything, so I sat there for 20 min it came back on I hoped it would dispense my money but it said offline then out of order whole time it never dispensed any money but still charged me $800 plus ATM fees I called the ATM phone number and they said they see it and all I can do is call my card holder to dispute it, and so I tried to dispute it and they said oh we found no errors. Like watch the damn video on the ATM see that no money was dispensed or even the 100's of cameras in the mall it was in or see that the ATM went offline and malfunctioned!?!? Now my balance is $896 dollars but I don't get to access the funds because they denied my dispute. STAY FAR AWAY!

They suck $#*! plain and simple. A bunch of moron foreigners who apparently don't know what they are doing. First, my card broke in half so I called customer service to order a new one and update my phone number and address. First, my card was never sent. Then I get robbed at gunpoint so I call again to order a new card and find out they still haven't updated my phone or address. I send in the documents and wait. Nothing. I call back, this time there is a restriction because I tried to login to the site but didn't remember my info. Find out a card was never mailed, nor was my address or phone updated! The man on the phone tried to blame it on the restriction but I explained there was no restriction when I had called the very first time and the second. Asked to send in more documents. Now I get to sit and wait a few days before I can call back and reorder a card I should have already gotten and none of my information has been updated yet. A bunch of total morons work on customer service!

Successfully filed a dispute and it was granted back to my account. But they later terminated my account and said I won't receive my account because of the fraud that was reported. What the hell. I reported fraud & it was Successful and now I can't receive my money... STAY AWAY FROM GREEN DOT & just use a card from your bank or another option
