This company is a complete FRAUD my account was hacked into and transactions were made that I did not do I called made a dispute then was told I needed to email a dispute as well I did so they credited my account then a month later decided to say my dispute wasnt granted because I made the transactions which I did not do and showed proof I didnt and they took every dime I had on my card this is the worse company to trust with your money If I could give them 0 stars I would
I have had a moneycard for over 10 years. A victim of fraud and ID theft in 2016 I limited access as best I could. I lost it all in 2016 and moving forward at my age, tough. I think sunny skies are dawning and boom the thunder of criminals strikes. Greendot staff is the worst ever. The are degrading and insulting like your an idiot on the loose. Never, and I've been here, has anyone been so extremely difficult. Like I'm the criminal and worse. Trust me at a time like this last thing you need is a smart punk in control. I assure his last concerns are you. They accepted my direct deposit after this 'dispute' I filed, which I sure did not. There was a dispute involving goggle charges Oct 21 of last year. Totally resolved with walmart out nothing. Feb 21 I get a message and when i called they were claiming I did something and inferring even worse. His only statement involved the Oct incident. A stolen phone I reported and suspended was reactivated in my name, without my knowledge. Not being strongly computer knowledge, frankly I had no clue until multiplecharges occurred. They acted like I did it myself. My phone,, my hack. Nothing even close ever occurred. Beware and find people that take care of you when something horrible occurs not turn

My recent purchase of a Walmart MoneyCard for 101 dollar with 100 dollar face value to give a friend for her graduation. First happed is that she cannot use it. Latter when she can use it, it lost 11 dollars already. When I called the comstomer serive based on the number from the card, there is only computer talk, it said I have a nagative balance. This seems like a scam to me. This make me wonder how good is of a quality level for overall Walmart services. I wonder why Walmart would keep this scam item with them.
This title was flashing when I foolishly put $200 on a walmart card in 2021 just before the holidays? The irony is the card itself is an out and out scam.
I tried using the card the day after activating it only to be told it was not valid... like WTF! Then their useless customer service said the card was hacked?... seriously... they happily take your cash and transfer it on to a card that gives one exactly nothing in return after their own investigation,all you get is a lame explanation after being promised you will get another card with your name on it with the full amount put back on it. BUT. Don't hold your breath as it never did come to pass.
It may be time to bring in big guns in the form of corporate lawyers who will completely destroy them in the court of public opinion and the news media.
Not to mention senior abuse and the punitive compensation damages that will be leveled against what was once thought of as a fair place to do business?. TOTALLY NOT TRUE and they will be forced to bear court costs too. Similar to how auto accident lawyers work. They only get paid WHEN You WIN which they definitely will. I have been banking with them for 4 years and they put a "fraud alert" on my account from a refund due to me from a hotel stating that the way that the hotel refunded money was not correct. It was a WIRE TRANSFER. NOW I have over 900.00 that I cannot access. I called today again this has been going on for 3 months and I cannot have this money refunded to me for 3-5 years WTH then I need to go to the state for them to refund me MY MONEY! DO NOT USE THEM!
I have over 75 fraud charges on my Walmart green card that was reported August of 2021 to Walmart Green Dot to this day they have not refunded my money they have actually Justified one of the payments what can I do.

I can't even begin to explain how horrible this company is! My card got compromised and hacked $500 out of my account. It's been 7 days now with a run around transferring me to different departments back and forth, no answers, getting hung up on, when I ask for information the bimbos they have in customer service don't even know what they are talking about let alone you can barely understand them. I ask for my refund check update and they transfer me back and forth to customer service then disputes and still no info given. I then reach out to a lead investigator for Walmart, they investigate my account. Someone from greendot called me gave me a code then compromised my account. Now I'm out over a grand because they refuse to send my refund check while they investigate the other $500 and told me that it's not garunteed I get my money. I then contact the federal reserve then I reach out to green dot corporate and they tell me they have no access to over ride my account and send me my refund while I'm waiting on the investigation. This is pathetic! They are a scam. There's so many lawsuits on this place, and there's about to be another one! It's not my fault this company doesn't have any security on their part for loyal customers and protecting their money! Corporate was a waste of time talking to as they said they can't do anything. This is by far the worst company in the country. They are scammers, they will allow your account to be hacked then make you wait for your money that's not garunteed. I will be pressing this issue with my lawyer, this is wrongful and not good business.
No phone number for checking ballance and if there was it would most likely be a bad as the web site with its bull$#*! verification code that never goes through on my dumb phone. I had to sit with customer svc for a hour and a half to try and set up my card. I had to go home and use a different phone to get the stupid $#*! verification to go through and it still continues ever time i want to check my balance i have to get a verification code.its anoying and i hate it im about to just go back to paper check much easier to cash and no limits on how much money i can have.the card doesnt let you take it all. And the fees each time you use it.what? Am i 5 years old need to give my allowance each day.i dont want some program controlling my money.bull$#*!.to much computer programs running every damn thing. I was the victim of online fraud using the money card and when i contacted green dot for help it was hard to get help then when i got thru they treated me like the criminal.
Customer service won't help me they won't allow me to withdraw money off my card my paycheck saying fraud alert but keeps putting me on hold and not helping me
After purchasing my debit card online and activating it y'all have nerve to lock my card after entering my tax information to get my tax return then yall ask to send ID I sent that still my card locked smh

If there was a zero, I would give a zero for this card. This card was given to me as gift card, I used the balance then they charged a monthly fee, leaving a negative balance on the card. I attempted to call and checked the website to cancel the card no options! Reported the card lost in an effort to cancel the card, and requested that no replacement card be sent, a couple of days later a new card was received in the mail and a $3.00 fee was charged. Several calls were made there is no option to ever talk to a representative. IF YOU DO NOT NEED THIS CARD I RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT PURCHASE IT.
They let somebody get into my locker account and steal my money and than they closed my account. It has been over a month and I am still waiting for them to get my money back to me.
I've had this Walmart money card for about a year. I've had direct deposit from my employer deposited onto my Walmart money card. It's usually about $900.00 every 2 weeks. Today I was looking at my transactions and started adding them up. Since October 2022 they have taken over $80.00 in ATM fees. Some days they charged me 2 atm fees $2.50 each and then a $0.50 atm inquiring. And I am looking in the Walmart app and using atms from there. So I called customer service today and spoke to a gentleman who told me that even tho I'm using those atms I only get 4 free withdrawals a month and after that I'm going to be charged. He could reverse anything. So I asked to talk to a manager. He transfers me to a manager at the corporate customer relations. I explain my situation and this guy tells me I'm going to be charged sn atm fee every time unless I go to Walmart money center. I tell him what the gentleman before told me that after 4 atm uses then your charged. He says well man you were misinformed. He couldn't do anything to help me. So I started looking at the help center in the app and the FAQS. I can't find anything that's regarding atm fees. So I think this is shady and I'm not ok with this. I will be closing my account! Stay away!
Did not send me my money have been waiting and I feel that they are trying to keep my money blocked my card and am still waiting for my money and still nothing
I had a deposit of 723 dollars I went to check my balance and I only had 227 dollars I tried to check my account and it was blocked I probably called a dozen times being hung up on or just plain discontented they about the 7 time calling my card was deactivated so now I don't know were my money went or what happened.if you call again they just hang up. I have had my checks direct deposited on this card. My dog ate our card and my wife called to find out how we could get the money off the card. They stated you could transfer the money to another green dot card. So my wife stayed on the phone with the lady while she instructed my wife on how to do this. My wife did it as soon as it was complete within 5 minutes of getting off the phone we received an email saying our card was locked due to suspisious activity. Mind you this is the activity THEY told us to do. Then after calling back they said you have to email a copy of your license for verification. We have done that its been 3 days. They told us it would take 2. Mind you $1700 dollars of my money is locked on this card. When we call we ask to speak to fraud and they hang up on us. we ask to speak to a manger and the manager gets on we explain and they hang up on now when you log into our account it says the account is CLOSED. We have called 17 times and they continue to hang up on us and will not help us. DO NOT USE THIS CARD i do not know where my money is and their customer service is terrible you cannot call their corporate office for help there is no phone number for it. Beware of this card.
