Watchgecko

Spent around £200 on watch straps from Watchgecko in the last month alone (sounds ridiculous now) and one of them started fraying at the watch strap hole within a day or two. I had assumed I'd get a decent response to my email, but customer service said they could do nothing as I'd also trimmed the strap when I received it (as is normal practice with NATO straps, unless you fold them back into the buckle). The issue was obviously the quality of watch strap material fraying, not a problem caused by the trimming. Even if they'd taken it back untrimmed, the strap couldn't be re-sold due to the fraying at the strap holes. But telling me they could do nothing because I'd also trimmed the length of the strap was an easy way to decline a refund.

Given that Watchgecko's straps are double the price of equivalent quality straps that you can find on Amazon (that are also made in China), plus the amount of money I'd spent on three orders from them, I guess I expected a better response, even if only to keep me as a customer. Try BISONSTRAPS on Amazon, which are at least as good at Watchgecko's NATO straps and only £9.99 (instead of Watchgecko's extortionate £24 plus £4.99 postage!)

I literally had over £500 of goods in my Watchgecko basket this morning, ready to buy, including a watch. But they've now lost my custom and recommendations, and I won't be back after this.

1 Star = Incompetence/ dishonesty/ negligence/ avoidance of responsibility. Stay away; the worst of the worst.
