Weebly rectified any disputes in a timely manner. The web designer assigned to my project clearly spelled out the time frame of the project even while he was held in a meeting. The sequence of e-mails were misread and it was my fault for not looking carefully. Marshall the initial sales representative only briefed me on the project details but did not specif as to what type of web sites could be done in one day. The web designer determined that a real estate website would take much more time to complete and 2-3 weeks was more realistic. The hold time of 20-30 minutes was due to the high volume of calls in peak hours of operation. Weebly immediately refunded my money and requested feedback. I am satisfied with the services Weebly has to offer the general public.
Support was unable to fix my website form submissions. My contact forms were not recording submissions or sending me emails even though it showed my customers that their inquiry was submitted. I lost several leads this way. 3 different forms on my site were broken, showing the customer their form was submitted but not actually recording. Support tried to fix the issue but when they couldn't they just stated that there was nothing wrong with the site on their end and they would not be trying anything else to fix it. I had to recreate my entire site on a different hosting platform to get the form submission feature back. I had been with them for over 10 years. I had several issues with them in the past from billing as well as technical support. I even had to recrate an entire retail site when square purchased Weebly and messed up the inventory integration. However, after loosing so many customer leads, this was the final issue that convinced me to make the switch.

Even though they know I am the site / account owner and can even see my credit card information to confirm, they won't help reset my passwords. Only way to reset is via an "forgot my password " link and if you don't have access to the associated email account- you literally have to build a new site (per their support.) Unbelievable.
You will either be stuck with them forever or go through a nightmare to move to another system. You WILL lose your verified reviews, which we all know are vital to selling online.
Not only are they terrible for SEO, they hold you hostage, which should be illegal. A customer's data belongs to the customer and should be available to take with them wherever they choose to go, especially when the customer is paying for the service.
I hope they go out of business or someone files a class-action lawsuit against them.
Tip for consumers:
Always read reviews before you plant your business or services with a software company. Make sure you have the freedom to take your business somewhere else for any reason.

Was once a low-end decent web site builder. After the Square purchase, I'm assuming - everything started to suck; the support, loading times, slow, basically just terrible all around. Times out when logging in, double login, overpriced.
Weebly has gone way down hill. Services that used to be free are no longer even affordable, and the site charges about four times the going rate to secure a domain name. ($40 when the industry standard is about $10 per year). Their support workers are useless -- very unhelpful and changes are regularly made without notice, resulting in loss of business for small owners like me. I am not impressed and hope to switch to a different service.
Biggest regret of the last year is building my site on Weebly. I'm honestly going to go through the time and expense of making a new website somewhere else b/c I can't stomach giving this company any more of my money. The site builder app acts like it's constantly infected with a virus. Every change I try to make has some issue. I. HATE. WEEBLY. Customer service doesn't care and can never solve my problem. Wait today was 56 minutes. Stay away from weebly.
Weebly is a fiasco. I have had a paid plan on it since 2013. It was great before it was taken over by Square in 2018. Square tried to 'knit together' the weebly interface w/ Square's store. Ok maybe that should work-- but it DOESN'T. There are endless problems with items not charging shipping when they should, and charging it when they shouldn't. Ten months of contacting their "customer service" (aka customer disservice) has done nothing. Stay away from Weebly. When I have time to take on rebuilding my website on a new platform I'll switch, but omg, be warned, you will regret Weebly; find something better if you are starting out now.
Tip for consumers:
stay away, stay far away from Weebly. Terrible site. Numerous bugs that charge shipping wrong, tax wrong, no matter what you pay for a plan you will never get any helpful customer service.
Unfortunately, I've been with Weebly for 7 years-- yes, there were frequent glitches, but they had support back then to help fix things. Now, I have two websites-- one of which is an e-commerce store and I am absolutely terrified because of the time spent on this recent launch and there's really no one to help. There's been a nice person named Paul I've been able to email with-- but it's days and days before I hear back and there are money sensitive, HUGE problems like people not being able to login to their accounts. It's been two days of this randomly happening and no one responding. Seeing these reviews have me terrified about my Domain now because I'm probably going to have to go back to Shopify. Worth the added expense when you have the comfort someone will be there to help in a timely manner. I feel like once Square acquired Weebly, they abandoned anyone still using this interface vs. their Square option.
They change or remove basic function without warning. Their sites seem to be unreachable from many countries. Support staff seem to have a list of irrelevant stock replies and merely select the next one off it... If you query it, you merely get some idiot trying to talk big... attitude stinks, even to paying customers.Run.
Extremely dissatisfied with the customer service, which is almost impossible to contact. We bought their service after looking at all the articles and tutorials on their super flexible and rich website builder. Unfortunately once you purchase, you'll discover that the actual builder is totally different. When asked why, they will tell you that they just switched to a new platform, that will get the old feature deployed asap. After almost a year, we didn not see any change or imporvement at all. Also the app store is advertised with multiple integration possibilities but in fact not available! Pricing is also not transparent and every time you try to talk to someone from their customer service, if you are lucky to get there, 1 out of 10 you get incomplete answers or are pointed in a wrong direction that leads you to start another frustrating contact attempt! SCAM!
Built a website with this company and things were ok. However, as soon as a problem arose there was NO support, emailing a person was difficult, and one of the apps they promoted not only did not work, they disabled comments on it. Meaning users could not warn others about the fraudulent app. I have already cancelled my subscription but 10/10 would not use again.
When I originally signed up to weebly 5 years ago I felt it was a good investment I could afford. As they have grown their customer base they have reduced the number of functions I paid for. Now I have to upgrade to regain the functions. Recently they downgraded my website because an automatic payment had failed. No warning was sent. Customer service glibly says there are other websites out there if I want to shop around. That did not feel an appropriate response to a loyal customer.
Not recommending them and thinking I may have to pull out and build me a new site.
What a drag.
Have been a Weebly customer for years and today tried to do some editing from my IPad. In trying to delete one image, a whole page of images was deleted in a flash. There is no undo, no are you sure you want to delete 50 images, no warning at all - just gone in a flash. After waiting for 30 minutes on hold I did speak with technical support to find out there is no recovery possible. She did recommend that editing should ONLY be done on a desktop computer. Why you might ask do they advertise this app for editing?
They failed to apply our nonprofit and tax exempt status to our accounts, despite it being done 3 times for the same bill along with a letter of confirmation from them. When I disputed the bill because they would NOT provide me a detailed bill or why my bill went up almost double, they shut us down. I was 100% correct to dispute the bill. This is a multimillion dollars lawsuit because not only did my sight get hacked but they shut down all the rest of my sites that had nothing to do with this bill and that were either paid in full or free. Anyone know a good attorney willing to sue them for destroying our 911 Emergency Services and discriminating against the disabled and so on.
Waited three weeks for customer service, Never got the site up and running, out $180, they could have cared less. The only returned emails were that they had a high call volume, this was the message I would receive through out the day
It takes almost and hour to get someone on the phone. Multiple calls to their support line each with 30 minutes plus wait times. Before calling I had submitted two help request by email. Never received a follow up, but did get survey emails asking how they did. Really? Last thing, I setup a free site for a friend to see if she liked it. She wanted to upgrade to get a unique domain name and when she did they created a separate account. Now she has a free account with all the content, and a domain name with no content which they won't merge with the free one unless we upgrade that. Essentially trying to double up on the bill. Do yourself a favor and use Wix or GoDaddy which have better support.
My website reported 5,000 to 8,000-page view per week, however, Weebly decided to start using Google Analytics and it now shows 30 per week. When contacted they claim to never to have shown that level of page visitors to my site. Therefore, my only conclusion is that Weebly reported false and misleading numbers. But they managed to cover their a@@, when you search for past months it is adjusted to the new numbers. When my subscription ends I will terminate my account and move to another company. One that is more honest.
Weebly is the worst site to use for so many reasons, perhaps before an award is given you might want to do your homework first. Have you ever Googled 'Weebly complaints'? They are numerous! The site offers NO customer service, they create 'upgrades' that are not tested first, implemented without a choice and then screw up everyone's site for at least 2 weeks! Their latest 'upgrade' has ongoing problems that they have not corrected sine June 1,2014. Yes, over 2 months later they still haven't figured out how to correct their own crap! They do NOT care about their customers or what havoc they create, they don't care about the customer's lost revenue, they just DON'T care. I am one of thousands of customers that are fed up with all their nonsense!
Tip for consumers:
A tip for others . . . DON'T use weebly!!!
Be warned about Weebly. They pretend to be so wonderful but they will continue to charge you for your website without contacting you and giving you the option to opt out. If you contact them, they will send you through their labyrinthine login process. If you have a username and password, you can access your account, but when you try to cancel, you will receive a prompt for a "validation key" which doesn't appear anywhere. If you try to reset your password, the same thing happens. If you request your account be cancelled, customer service sends you a long winded response, telling you to repeat everything that didn't work before. This is a money pit you can't stop. I had to change my credit card account and alerted American Express to block any charges that might try and fraudulently extract more $$ from me. AVOID Weebly like the biblical plague it is.
Thanks to awkward and clunky templates, inability to do anything with the code... or even export it... or even look at it... I have wasted time I will never get back trying to get this totally piece of junk tool to do anything useful for me. If you are in grade school or trying to sell junk out of your garage on line this is the tool for you.
Want something that looks like garbage, can 't be fixed if it does, can make one mistake to take away hours of work that can't be undone? Want to have one thing go wrong after another and will stay that way until you finally give up throwing good time and money after bad? Weebly is also the tool for you!
I will now forget I ever went through this trying to put something together for my business and move on. Thanks for wasting my time Weebly.

I absolutely love weebly.com. Creating websites are often daunting but programs like this can assist even a complete noob create a professional looking website in hours. No need to know your HTML coding, etc as many gadgets are provided on this website already. All you have to do is drag and drop, that easy! Of course, if you're into HTML or like adding flash programs, you can do that to.
They shutdown my websites and my account claiming I was violating the terms, but I was not. I decided to create my websites somewhere else. I will never go back to weebly.com again. Try squarespace.com instead.
Sad to say, I was duped. Call and rarely help on their end. Last week called to ask a question and told: "it is up for renewal, but if you pay today you get 20% off." Think I had two more weeks. I gave the money and realized they charged me six months instead of the 12 months, and was surprised at the cost. I called to and told they would refund the money, but cancel me as of that day. Telling them, I had two weeks left; it didn't seem to interest them. I recalled to be told "she was wrong." Went to transfer the site to another company and told "it can't be done due to the equipment they use. (Another company said this. I called Weebly to be told I wanted it canceled at the renewal date and told, "It is up for renewal in Dec. 2106 and it will be done then," Obviously they never canceled me. I again called. If calling their billing department expect to be put on hold for a very long time, but sales you get immediate attention. He then tells me I'm right, and it had been canceled. It seems Weebly should get their facts together.
Weebly makes it surprisingly easy to create a high-quality website, blog or online store. Over 40 million people use Weebly to bring their unique ideas to life.
