Westbourne Motors' (WM) "customer service manager" is eminently qualified to write a manual on how to really cheese off & alienate customers! In my decades of dealing with service providers both within and without the automotive industry, she is the very worst "customer service" representative I have EVER had the singular displeasure of having dealt with!
In early September, I booked WM to collect my car for delivery to a garage. I painstakingly highlighted the fact during my booking call that the car was very low and needed a transporter that would be able to accommodate it. The transport vehicle that turned up was too high and arrived nearly 4 hours late (but I was not even given the courtesy of an update call). So, the next morning they sent another that ended up scratching my car (see attached photos). I was put through the Customer Service manager who was incredibly rude and patronising (she mockingly told me she had 220 cars when I factually informed her that I had 20 and thus had ample experience dealing with car transport companies). Furthermore, after hanging up on me when I complained about WM's exceedingly poor performance, she very curtly refused to allow my choice of repairer to fix the damage and insisted on doing it themselves. She added that I could go ahead and take legal action but it would do me little good because they were such a huge company. I reluctantly agreed to this and wrote to them notifying them that I would need stage-by-stage photos of, and a written guarantee for, their work. She promised to send me these at least 4 times (each time only when I sent chase-up emails) - and then stopped replying to any of my subsequent messages after mid October. My experience with Westbourne Motors – particularly with the (hilariously titled) customer service manager, who should not be given any role dealing with customers – has been mind bogglingly horrendous. (PS: concerningly, she also mentioned that WM's founders were fully aware of my case and by implication, fully supported her!) Sure, I have had poor experiences with service providers in the past, but this particular (hugely upsetting and insulting) saga, makes this experience the VERY WORST I have ever had! She is an absolute and utter disgrace AND Westbourne Motors would be doing itself a great favour by reviewing her performance and doing the right thing!
