Williams-sonoma has great quality cookware. I love their products. I am a bit addicted to this site. It is very easy to navigate to find special items for your kitchen that you didn't even know you needed.
None, I mean nome of their CSR make any sense. They reply to you with that copy and paste BS. I have proof that the item has been returned to them buy they say another 2 weeks. Absolute crooks! I will charge back my card with all the proof I have.
- High shipping, which is not waved regardless of amount spent
- They won't always batch your order, and will charge you ridiculous shipping again for each separate delivery
- All their own brand products are made in China
I purchased an overpriced sofa from Williams-Sonoma, believing that for the price I would have the peace of mind that they would take good care of me. I was wrong. I spent six months dealing with them, and I have no couch. Save your money, your personal time, and your frustration: Shop anywhere else.
A few months ago I ordered for my parents a Nespresso Citiz machine from Williams Sonoma. It was all easy, and when I had a question about the machine, the customer service folks were great in responding. I do enjoy perusing the website for slick-looking kitchen gadgets that I'll never be able to afford.
@williams Sonoma
I thought I was buying a brand that held up its value. I bought an item in large quantity and a week after I bought it, it was reduced to half the price! I requested a price adjustment!, it has been two weeks since then! No response! Pretty disappointed
William Sonoma store card is now issuing a " new" Capital One Card with a 30% interest NO question asked. They decided to transfer all your balance into a credit card institution, Capital One. Your interest is so high that willl be pretty much almost of you minimum payment. Capital One is already a horrible credit card option. It is only for people who can't get any card. They charge annuity and an exorbitant APR %. Now they are forcing Williams Sonoma customers to get into this same scam. If you loss your card Capital One won't provide your card number. The number is not even listed your own account. Good look trying to deal with Capital One and William Sonoma card Customer service people.
Received a $50 gift card from a family member for my birthday. Ordered what I thought was a kitchen rug. With shipping, I paid $76 and some cents. When it arrived, I never took it out of the box because the packing slip said backing was cleated. It would damage my wood floor. That was never stated on the website. I complained but they would do nothing. In fact they charged me $12 for the return shipping, more than I paid for the initial shipping. Instead of returning the credit to the gift card, they credited my charge card with $26.98, the excess paid over the original amount of the gift card and put $24.92 on the gift card. So, I have a $50 gift card worth $24.92. I paid a total of $76 for the rug, tax, shipping and received back a total of $51.90. I informed my family member of the hassle and suggested she not give William Sonoma gift cards to family or friends. I'll use what's on the gift card, but I'll never buy anything from them again. And I'll let people know why.
While spending almost $3000 for a coffee machine I was told there would be a 10% rebate on future purchases if I signed up for their credit card. After 2 months I had yet to get the rebate! I called and was misdirected numerous times before FINALLY getting a refund of 10%! I was also then told that after several hours of wasted time pursuing my credit that I had 15days to get 10% off any additional purchases. After returning to the store(where they are clueless about policy) I was finally told it was on line only. I was so frustrated I told them to keep there 10%, close my account and never contact me again! There service is abhorrent! They are overpriced, mediocre quality and terrible customer service! I went to Sue La Table and found the same items at more competitive or the same price; but, with much better service and far more knowledgeable staff. I would NEVER step foot in Williams Sonoma again!
Received items which were smashed. Seller reported they would replace items. No replacement ever received. No refund received for returned, smashed items. Requesting resolution through PayPal, as seller wouldn't resolve after 1 hour 5 minutes on the phone and refused to let me speak to supervisor
My wife received 4 decorative plates from her daughter in law. One plate had a black inclusion in the white portion. Customer service contacted that resulted in the agent told us to "keep it". I sent an email to the ceo. NEVER GOT A RESPONSE. Now that is customer service of the first magnitude.
Tip for consumers:
I would never do business with williams-sonoma (the name does not deserve to be capitalized) again.
Kept getting updates that my specialty thanksgiving dressing was, in fact, on the way. Then, on the weekend before thanksgiving— sorry! Now I am stuck—- grocery stores' stuffing is pedestrian, and now I need to make my own. They were so kind to let me
Know they wouldn't charge me— thanks
No wonder they get 1.1 out of 5 from BBB
I never learn. Ordered placemats for Christmas gift. Website stated delivery by December 17. Ordered on November 1st. Now I have received an email stating no delivery until December 30th... maybe.
Reached out to WS and received the usual lame we r sorry response. Just tell me at the beginning you are out of stock until January so I can buy something else somewhere else.
I will no longer order gifts from them. Period.
I accidentally ordered a quantity of 4 instead of 1 pots online. I immediately called to remedy the situation. They said, since it was sent to fulfillment, they couldn't cancel and I lost over $100 in shipping. Went to return it in store and they couldn't help me and were VERY rude. Amazing how poor this company is. Very very disappointed.
Do Better.
Ordered on 10/28, delayed to 11/5,11/9,11/17 all without and email or call. Agreed to expedite ship- never came. Told me it was cancelled because it was off policy. Never called or emailed to tell me. Still waiting for original order to ship even though they say it is no in stock. Enuf said!
Five weeks to let me know the delivery will not arrive until after Christmas (October 28) really SUCKS. I will never order from Williams Sonoma again. Unbelievable poor customer service. AAAAGGGR.
Sales people had no reason for the delay. Very poor customer service - certainly did not care. Ruined Christmas.
I purchased an item online. It was indicated that it's in stock. Later I receive an email saying it's delay. I ended my self waiting for an item 3 months! And eventually when I called to ask what is the shipping status (I have received a final arrival date after 3 months of waiting) they told me they don't have it in stock!
They offered me $25 compensation for this aggravation. Of course I refused. I Spend 2 hrs on phone with people who far away from satisfying costumers!
Williams Sonoma-you should shame of yourself! I will never buy anything from you again!
(Christi-you have long way to understand how to satisfy costumer!)
Bed bath and beyond has the best costumer service!
Received a damaged defective final sale pillowcase for over a hundred dollars. Called upon receipt and said the item was damaged and bad quality and I wanted a refund. Because it was a final sale item I am now being forced to accept a Credit from William Sonoma for over a hundred dollars instead of a refund to my credit card. Called twice to get help and was on hold for 45 minutes to be told that they couldn't help me and I need to talk to someone else. Horrible customer service! Not the way to treat customers. Why should I have to pay for your inferior product and damaged goods!
And Couldn't Make it Right! Ordered a $100 gift card and a very small token/joke gift—a $6.97 egg poacher—through the W-S Bridal Registry. Long story short, they didn't include the note that indicated the gifts were from another friend AND myself—guess that's a tough thing to accomplish these days. What ensued were a few awkward texts between the bride & myself and me having to explain how I wasn't as "generous" as she'd thought. I called W-S asking if they could email the bride a promo discount code or a 20% coupon or something, Customer service agent said they had no way of doing such a thing. Is it so hard to get an order right? I guess so. Is it so hard to make a couple of customers feel as though W-S cares about making a mistake? I guess so. Disappointed.
I ordered 5 aprons embroidered back in October 2021 for Xmas. Knowing there were supply chain issues I placed my order way in advance for items they had in stock. Some of the aprons showed up, some not, I received some random embroidered holiday stocking with a name on it I do not recognize - I am sure someone else's gift I called WS 3 times and wrote 2 e mails trying to find out what happened to my order. One person tells me they are sending a replacement order - another tells me they no longer have inventory of the item. Delivery and tracking info is falsified or wrong on their website... never again. BYE WILLIAM SONOMA!
I found the best sourdough bread ever on the Williams-Sonoma website, which was quite surprising. The bread is baked and shipped by Nashoba Brook Bakery, which is located in Concord, MA. On the site, it stipulates that the bread might take two weeks to arrive but it came within five days after ordering. The round loaves are just as depicted on the site and they smelled oh so good and tasted just like a sourdough bread should taste. Definitely worth a try if you miss sourdough bread with substance. The site also offers other breads offered at Nashoba.
Hi Anna,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us! There is nothing better than really good sourdough bread! Our partnership with Nashoba Bakery lets everyone enjoy their fabulous sourdough!
Sincerely,
Alison

I worked for this company for a bit, they incentivize employees to lie to customers to protect their performance reviews. The company marks up all items based on the brand name and the products can be purchased for cheaper from their competitors. Over all its not a company that you want to work with if you desire satisfaction and good customer service.
Tip for consumers:
The company applies a significant mark up on most products and when calling their customer service the agents are incentivized to lie to you about your product status if you called previously and that agent lied to you to protect their own stats. (expect a lot of misinformation)
Products used:
As an employee I helped with multiple products, The company gave a 40% discount on most products which brought them down to competitor prices.
I had two bad experiences, with William Sonoma, three days. One in the Cherry Hill, NJ store and one on the phone. I brought an item to the store, to return it. I did not have the receipt, but all of the labels were on the box. I asked if I could have a credit and they refused. On the phone I tried to place an order and use a certificate that I received on my computer. I am a cardholder. I was told it was already used, two years ago. I could not reason with them. I will never shop in this store again. I told the sal s guy in the store that. All he said was I am sorry you feel that way.
I purchased a very expensive coffee pot on line during this pandemic. It was surprisingly terrible. It was manufactured in the cheapest way non of the parts stayed together. It was just at the start of social isolation and I threw the box out immediately. The customer service was wonderful. They sent a return label, said I could take my time to find a box, I repacked it as well as I could but clearly it was a DIY job. They refunded all of my money and every customer service representative was charming. Thank you
Placed an order on-line; Stopped into the store to pick it up. Large order.
Asked if it had been checked for accuracy, and all of it was packed.
Yes, they said;
Got ready to leave, but thought we would check to ensure everything was there;
It wasn't; Short two of the most expensive pieces.
Very dissapointed.
Sincerely,
Jeff
I bought 3 honeycomb jars on sale online. I paid for the sale price but later on they have charged the balance amount for the full price of the items. Contacted them and sent them an email but no reply.
I love their products but will never ever buy again.
There is no way to do it. They say do it on line but it doesn't work. They have a number to call but the agent has no way to schedule. Very frustrating Maybe I'll get my order some day. But if you can't schedule then probably not. Waiting since late December.

Good Afternoon Meredith,
Thank you for sharing your experience with me. I am disheartened to hear about your sofa experience. I have sent you a private message with my contact information. Once I can get your order details I will see what I can do to make this right.
