As a woman dealing with alopecia it can be quite difficult to maintain confidence. However Wilshire Wigs has provided me with such an empowering experience. Their selections are stunning and their customer service is unmatched!
They don't even deserve one star. Their customer service is the worse I have ever experienced. I have called five times in the last 90 minutes and still only got the answering machine. I decided to telephone after my four emails, spaced out over two weeks, went unanswered. I returned a wig by registered mail to be sure that it arrived and had to be signed for. It arrived in their hands on June 1. As of today, June 28, my account has not been credited. Beware.
I ve been a customer of WW for a number of years. We went in a week ago to find that my stylist and half the staff are gone. WTH happened? If anyone out there knows where Jeannette (the stylist) went please let me know.
9 days after placing order and receivng order confirmation, nothing. I called left msg 2 times. I emailed 3 times. Nothing. I advised would dispute credit card if no response and nothing.
Site says ship most same day and as much as 3 days. Will contact if delayed beyond that. Says responses to emails within 1 business day.

I have been a customer for 15 years and relatively satisfied the entire time. In my last order, the wigs didn't work, but since I was traveling, I wasn't able to return them within 10 days. I returned them in perfect condition, and asked for an exchange. They told me they had an " iron clad " policy and they would not be able to send me the requested exchange. So now, they have 8 wigs that I returned, AND my $ 835!

Even after spending THOUSANDS of dollars with them, they obviously have no policy to satisfy their customers.

Well, I ordered a wig that I never received, even though I was charged for it right away. I called and left a message... no response. I emailed customer service... no response. I will now be calling my credit card company to have the charge reversed.

My mother is an elderly lady and ordered 2 wigs on the phone 9-21-22 totally 175.50. The wigs wereTony of Beverly, style Cali-rooted blonde, they both were cut wrong. My mother was sent a UPS label, she took the items with the label on it to UPS. My mother has left numerous messages, with no attempt to reach out to her. This is very sad that a company would take advantage of the elderly. Buyer beware… I am trying to get all her proof together and help her. They never answer the phone *******874 a California number. Many many messages have been left with no return calls.

I agree with many of the other reviewers and had a very similar experience. They sent me the wrong wig and they told me to ship it back on my own dime. I told them that they needed to send a pre-paid label since they are the ones who made this mistake. Never hear back from them even when I followed up with them. I decided to keep the wig since it was fixable because I had a feeling based on how they totally ignored my emails, that I would not get my money back. It's good thing I did because refusing the fix their errors and not responding is their MO. Unless you feel like gambling away your money, buy from someone else.
From what I can tell, this is a sham business that takes peoples money and never communicates with them again. I bought a wig from them it took about 2 months to receive, and when it came it was wrong in several ways. I called to find out how to return it, and the receptionist said to follow the instructions on the website. I did that and put the wig in the mail to them almost a month ago. I have emailed them and left messages. No one has gotten back to me. I want a full refund, but think I may have to go through a lawyer. I recently ordered a wig that was on clearance. Upon receiving the wig it was the wrong color and did appear to have been previously worn. The wig was matted. Since it was a clearance wig still priced at $79.00 it was a ripoff. These pictures are the wig right out of the box.
They take your money as soon as you order, not when merchandise is sent. Weeks and I heard nothing from them, when I called to check on the order, she said the item was on back order and I had an in-store credit although I had not been notified of one. I said I wanted a refund to my paypal account. She said she would issue one. Nothing... no refund. Im in the process of filing a grievance through paypal. I certainly wish I had checked out the reviews before ordering, I learned a valuable lesson.
Wilshire has very poor customer service in my opinion. They only have an answering machine and then it takes awhile before anyone calls back. I missed one call by a minute and called them right back. No one has returned my call. When I tried to print out the return slip it said that there was no order by that number. I shipped my wig back with a letter and am waiting for someone in customer service to call me back. Don't expect much if you need to send a wig back. In my experience they have bad, bad, bad customer service!
It has now been one month since I ordered a wig from Wilshire Wigs. I have no wig, no refund, and no response from this business as to where any of the above may be. I read great reviews, and ask only that you try to contact anyone at the company before you purchase anything. In one month I have received one email, only asking why I called, (one messsge in a month of them must have gotten through - though they did not listen to purpose of my call)). Check BBB, a D- minus rating. Save yourself the problems I am having, stay far away from this company.

After 3 days of 'calling by phone' and leaving messages, I have come to one conclusion. No one ever answers the phone and no one ever returns calls!
This 'missing customer service' never bothered me when I lived 3 minutes away - I just walked in to schedule an appointment.
Am I now expected to make an 85 mile round trip to schedule an appointment?
I purchased 3 items from them and received 3 wrong items. I called them and they were going to send a return label. I never got the label, spent $25 to return everything and then even after showing them it was signed for they never replaced my order, gave me a credit or even had a good answer. This company is awful and I would stay far away from ordering anything from them. They are 100% under handed and I will never order from them again. S
I wish I had read the reviews for this business before I had ordered. I did receive the wig in a timely manner but the color was lighter than shown and the wig itself was way too small. I always order an average but this was made for a petite head. I tried numerous times to find out how to get an exchange but they never answer their phones. When I finally got ahold of someone she was very helpful, so I thought! I sent the wig back which cost me an additional $16.00 for 2 day shipping. They received it on 3/24/18 and never got a call. I once again continued to leave messages because I need that exchange by 4/13/18. When I gave them one star on Google, I got a call from some man who tried to help me but wasn't his department. So here I am no exchange and no refund. I am furious and trying to have Paypal work a miracle for me. Wish me luck!
Do not order from them! We ordered a wig for me before Christmas. They send you a confirmation and say you will be updated. They never up date you. They don't answer thier phones and expect you to leave a message which they never return. I've tried to cancle my order and no one will return a call. You never receive your products. They take your money as soon as you order. Its been around 2 weeks and nothing has been solved with the issue. Worst place ever, scamers not a real business.
I bought a wig, wasn't right for me, returned it the next day, they received it on 3/10 and it's now 3/24 and no word they are processing it. I've called 3x's and left msgs, sent an email but still have not had a response. If this is how they treat their customers, how can they expect you to keep buying from them.
I ordered a specific dark red wig. I have worn for years. 235 00 and they sent a platinum blond wig. Will not return or replace! Called them to request assistamce, no one answered, left messaged. Do not use this company. Now I am stuck wirh a platinum blond wig and out 235.00!
As a haircare company, we often offer accessories as incentives. Over 10 days ago, I went on this website to order 1,500 pieces of a teasing comb. My card was charged immediately and then afterwards, I received a call from someone to let me know that they don't have it in stock. Fine. They said they would look for a comparable item and get back to me. In two days (after several follow ups), they sent a COMPLETELY different type of product. I let them know it wouldn't work and now, 7 days and countless phone calls and emails later, I'm STILL waiting for other options AND return payment on my credit card. This place is COMPLETE disaster and it's a SHAME that they're in some sort of "business" practice. It's a joke. Embarrassment.
Ordered a wig Jan 11,2017. They kept my money. Never sent wig. Will not answer phone. Im an 81 yr old woman. They took advantage of me. This is another scam company that steals from Senior Citizens
Their website does not indicate when an item is out of stock and they take your money and then will not refund you. Wish I had read all the BBB complaints before trusting this merchant with my money.

We had very bad experience with Wilshire and Wigs. Total lack of respect for their clients, well now ex-client.
We placed an order on 3/9/2022, they didn't have the item and agreed to refund payment on 3/16 via email, I have saved the email. They didn't issue refund and didn't answer to any of our emails or calls after 3/16.
On 4/10 we contacted our credit card company, they initiated an investigation and issued a temporary refund. To our total surprise, on 5/5 the credit card ruled in favor of Wilshire Wigs. We don't have access to what "evidence" they provided why we should pay for an item they agreed they didn't have to ship and agreed to issue a refund.
I provided all communication back to credit card company proving they agreed to issue the refund. Waiting for credit card company's answer.
To Wilshire Wigs: please don't come here and reply asking to contact you at *******@wilshirewigs.com or *******447, I already did and you are not replying. In fact, I found other phone numbers that belong to you and they all give me the same outcome: outside of business hours there is an automated message stating it's outside of business hours, during business hours it goes to voice mail 100% of the time, I already left voice mail with my phone number, order number and name asking to call me back, you never called back.
I have ordered from this company in the past once or twice and had no problems. Ordered a wig and paid with a credit card, which they charged within hours after my purchase; however, they did not send a confirmation E-mail. I called, not because I expected the wig so soon but wondered why there was no confirmation E-mail and no indication of shipping, despite the charge already being run on my card. I left a few messages--no return calls. E-mailed them, no response. Finally relentlessly called and someone answered. They himmed and hawed "umm, uh, well, uh, um, uh, that is going to go out today" (kind of like "the check is in the mail"). They then sent a "shipment notice" with no tracking info. As they are in L. A. and I am in San Diego, I generally have my orders in just a few days. When I questioned why they charged my card before shipping the merchandise, they replied "That's how all online companies do it" which is not true (they must think their customers are stupid?). I have ordered many wigs over the years from other companies and charge does not go through until shipping time. Waiting to see if I receive, and if not, will dispute the charge as fraud. Wish I had gone with another company but went with them because they were offering 30% off.
Hard to believe this company has been in business 52 years.
