I decided after retirement to take up woodworking to build furniture and other wooden things. Upon visiting my local Woodcraft store, I quickly discovered a store that could provide me with everything I could need to pursue this hobby. Not only does this store carry every tool or machine you might need, it also carries accessories, project plans, wood, and classes that are conducted in house using the tools needed to accomplish the project. Even if you simply are fascinated by tools, it is a great store to visit. The staff are all woodworkers so you can draw from their knowledge and advice.

Ordered a router table off of Amazon from this company. It only had 4 reviews on Amazon, and only one had any text. It just said someone bought one for their son and he loved it. Was leary but the picture looked good and and figured I'd take a chance. Bad idea. Right out of the box, terrible instructions. Pictures helped, but only because I know what I'm doing. Someone less handy would be in trouble. Then there's the product. 100% particle board, cheap MDF. The stuff split while putting the screws into the pre drilled holes. And I was using a screwdriver not a power tool. For a hundred dollars less I could have got a name brand that was better quality. And I'm convinced after reading a previous review that the only positive ones are from company imposters.

Great store! It is like Christmas when I go there! They carry a great selection, and also have frequent training classes. Good prices and frequent sales. When I get their sale brochure, I often find one or two items I need/ want, and then I go to the store and leave with many more items.
Love the place, but need to limit my visits...

I called them to say the doors are wrong and they said it was down to me on there awful site I know I clicked on the right doors seems like they send you what they have at the front of the pile woodcraft company will not be used by me again

I Purchased a product they had listed on Ebay and 4 hours after I paid for it they refunded my money and said that the price I paid was a mistake and the new price is 160.00 more. They refused to honor their original price. People in West Virginia don't act like that.

Spent $5,000 on a CNC.A few weeks later I attempted to buy a 3d router bit for my machine. The rep was condescending. Told me they don't sell those bits. I said that you do sell the bits. I showed him where it was. After he was shown to be incorrect he was very angry at me. He told me I was not allowed to hold the bit at the counter until I paid for it LOL. I will never return to woodcraft in Henrietta NY. I wish I could return my CNC and buy it somewhere else.

Tip for consumers:
Service is horrible and prices are very high. Buy online for much cheaper.

I spent over $100.00 on a peg board kit. It was never received. After talking to customer service they told me that something was wrong, because the had a shipping weight of approximately 2.5 pounds, and a peg board kit would be much more weight. After all that they still would not get back to me about this problem. Make no mistake, they don't care about me, and if they don't care about me. They don't care about you. D

The shipping company could not keep the date the promised 2 times, the third time i told them to forget it now they are charging me for the return shipping for something i never got. Great customer service.

Ordered an item almost a month ago. Advertised that item would ship within 5 days. Almost a month later I called for status and was told that the item was out of stock at the manufacturer. If I had not called, I wouldn't have known. Highly unlikely that I'll order from them again. Looking at the historic poor reviews, I wish I'd listened...

I ordered from Woodcraft almost a week ago, and it still hasn't shipped. On the same day I placed the order on Woodcraft, I also placed orders on three other sites. The other orders arrived days ago.

I like going into the store, but definitely no a go to online store if you need something within a few days. The other guys got that covered...

I recently ordered a table saw from woodcraft,, their customer service was spot on,, i called them about an extension wing that was damaged and they sent me out a new one and when i asked how i needed to send the old one back they told me just to trash it,, really good people,, i live about 70 miles from a woodcraft store but personallity i had rather pay the shipping fee than to drive the 70 miles,, it was delievered right off the truck and rolled into my garage for assembly,,

I have been a long time Woodcraft customer. A few years ago I moved from Virginia Beach to the mountains so there is not a store near me. On a recent trip to visit her mom, I asked my wife to stop by a woodcraft and pick up an item. Unfortunately, the store staff placed the right item but the wrong size behind the counter for her. A month or so later I was making a trip with my grandson to his first major league baseball game and the route took us near the Woodcraft in Leesburg Va so I brought the item along to exchange it.

Despite having the correct size in stock, the Store Manager refused to exchange the item because it was not purchased at his store.

I have ceased doing business with Woodcraft. Mistakes happen and I have never seen a retailer who not exchange an time for the same item in a different size.

Received order confirmation on 4/11/20. On 4/14/20, I emailed customer service asking when the order would ship. Customer service provided me a tracking number the same day. As of 4/15/20 the tracking number shows the carrier has not even received the shipment.

If you like all those sells calls give them your info. I had gotten of all the sells calls, day 3 after filling out my info for an order the calls returned. Thanks for nothing. I won't be using Woodcrafters again.

Wood craft has a tendency to ship the wrong product which usually takes about 10 days in the first place and when they have to ship again they say we will ship 2nd day. Never happens! This last time just one of several it was exactly 8 days when it should have been three. You always get an apology but to me an apology just doesnt cut it when It costs you a customer who has been waiting on you to get his product out to him. I manufacture pistol grips and they ship wet wood so it takes me another 3 days to dry it out running the time to 21 days. I never hear an offer to reimburse me for the money I lost.

Ridiculous company. I order bandsaw it says next day shipping and order in stock,, 3 hours after ordered it says backorder, 3 hours after again website show in stock, i called to company se said fraud department has to contact you. Why? No answer. I asked you have item she said backorder someone waiting same item almost 2 months. If you don`t have item why website show in stock...

Ordered tablesaw - incompleted, 20 days later some components came, still incomplete, 2 calls to customer service - neither knew anything about what was included - though detailed in their catalog, wood Crasft not respinding, tablesaw not functional, yet they have had my money from day 1

I ordered an item from them that was in stock when ordered and the next day after they recieved my order they put it on backorder and week later still have no clue when and if it will ship...
I canceled my order and decided to try a different company.

On 3 Jul I went to Woodbridge (32 mile) buy butt chisel set, returned with nothing. On 4 Jul Woodcraft still advertising "only a few left.
Response from Woodcraft- back in stack shop again.

I ordered an Axe online which according to the website was in stock, days later I get an email stating that it was not in stock and they put it on back order with a TBD date of delivery I don't know about most people but I don't trust companies that will change my order to a back order without consulting me to see if I'm OK with it first. I tried calling the phone number listed on their website and it is a nonworking number and you can't reply to the email they sent you. So you have to find another way to contact them and cancel the order.

I would not use them, find a more credible site

First of all I want to distinguish between Woodcraft as an online store and my local Woodcraft franchisee I am reviewing the online store not the franchisee (which would generally get 4-5 stars from me). The online customer service, in my opinion, is neither customer friendly nor service oriented. Due to an error in their catalog, I received a lathe accessory that was not the proper size. After more than 15 email exchanges, in which they seemed to be attempting to cool me out, I sent them screen shots from their catalog documenting the error. They admitted the error (I have it in writing) and sent me a return label, promising a full refund. I returned the item in early November and have not heard from them since. I filed a dispute with my credit card company which found in my favor as Woodcraft apparently didn't respond to them either. Online Woodcraft is, consequently, off my shopping list. I simply cannot trust them to do the right thing. There are too many online stores that provide the same products and also honor their responsibilities and word to their customers.

As a woodworking hobbyist I would just like to say that the customer service at Woodcraft is just atrocious. I've been ordering from Woodcraft for over five years and had good and some bad experiences, and now a really bad experience for a project developed for dimensional lumber sourced from Woodcraft that all needed to be the same species. Woodcraft processed my order charging the entire order amount even though one for the items wa shown to be on back order which was initially acceptable to me. But after two delays I've cancelled the order and only will receive a refund for those items that they never shipped to me. That's right, Woodcraft will refund to me my money they took for items they never shipped but won't refund money for an item that they didn't ship to me. The customer service agent I spoke with claims their site says that they will process charges for an order regardless of whether or not they can ship what was ordered. Well my bad on that one of its truly published on the site. But its just going to be the last bad experience I've gotten from Woodcraft. I won't make the same mistake again in not being able to get my money back from Woodcraft.

I placed my order on November 22,2020. It said the item was in stock. Two days after I placed my order I was sent and email that the item was backordered. I called customer service and they told me the item would be shipped on December 11th. On December 8th I got another email stating that it was back ordered again. Now the item will not be shipped until after Christmas. Worst company ever!

I ordered a new V27 Incra miter gauge from them and they sent me a used one. It was heavily scratched and dinged. The angle tape is missing half of one of the measurements from being gouged. I called them and they said I could return it, The miter gauge works for me, so I kept it. When I ordered the miter gauge, I was very careful to insure that I did not receive advertisements, as I always do. I got them anyway. Emails and mail. I have been unable to stop the emails. It's a domain I've had trouble with before - bronto.com. Just by the fact that Woodcraft breaks the rules to shove advertisements down your throat, we should know that something is very wrong with the company. There is a Woodcraft store about twenty miles away and I love woodworking, but I won't be spending my money there or online.

There are plenty of other places to do business.

I placed an order on 1/27/17 for a CMT P******* saw blade and it was on sale for $28.99. A week later I haven't receive the blade so I sent a message through their site asking about my order, 2 days later I finally get a reply and they said the blades just came in and it will ship the following day. 3 days later they still haven't shipped the blade so I decided to write to them again, and again I get the same answer. It is now 3 weeks since I ordered it I finally got fed up with the same BS answer I get from customer service time after time so I gave them a call. The woman puts me on hold for 5 mins and tells me the blade is no longer available since it was a clearance item. Meanwhile it's still on their website showing it's in stock as of today 2/17/17. I ordered a couple of other small items at the time since I'm paying for shipping for the blade anyway but the blade never came so I paid $7.99 for shipping on a small box of pin nails and a zero clearance guide bar from microjig. If they had told me the blade was not available I would of cancel the entire order but instead they ship me what they want and then lie about the availability of items to keep you waiting. There are much better companies on the web if you're looking for woodworking supplies.

I am building a new workshop in my house that I moved into last year. I have a home made router table, but wanted to upgrade. I have been eyeing the Jess-Em router lift for some time. I figured since i was building a new shop now would be the best time to buy. I found this on WoodCraft's web site, signed up for their email promotions (giving my 10% off my first order) and watched it. I got an email notifying me of a hot sale, 15% off everything on the site. In addition to my 10% welcome coupon it was an incredible savings. I pulled the trigger and ordered it. I had done some research into the site to make sure it wasn't a scam, but had read very few reviews. Then i started second guessing myself and the purchase, so to the depths of the reviews i went. I read a lot of reviews about delayed shipping, and no customer service. This was not the case with my purchase. I bought the lift on Friday at 10:56pm (why not?) and on Tuesday it was shipped. I received the unit on Thursday, less than a week from when i bought it, I had called customer service in the gap between purchase and shipping and they sent me the shipping info, then in an hour i got the "official" email from them it had shipped. This was a great company to work with and i will buy from them again.
