WorldRemit closed my online account for no apparent reason. Their excuse is that their Security system was uncomfortable processing my last transaction. While unable to give me specifics details when and where the last transaction was made. While insisting that I proceed with future transactions in store. The last transaction I know I made was in store. Which means that my online account got closed due to me making an in-store transaction. While they insist, I make any future transaction in store. Unable to provide details for closing my account other than security reasons, no details on what raise the red flag when I sent money to my wife in store using WorldRemit. I'll stop using WorldRemit and I'll recommend Western Union, Wise, PayPal... but never WorldRemit...
WorldRemit authorized a fraudulent transaction in my account, withdrawing money from my debit card without my authorization to send it to a person in Kenya I did not even know. I tried to contact WorldRemit again to ask for a refund since the fraud happened in their systems and they told that was my problem and would not refund me. There are better, safer apps to send money abroad so do not use WorldRemit because they do not even care about their customers that are being defrauded.
I bought something online and paid via worldremit. The money was drawn from my bank account but the company did not receive them. The reason is that i sent them with mobile top up, but the phone number i used was to a landline, which you cannot top up. Still worldremit says that the transaction is confirmed, and that is all the help I get from them. I know i did a mistake writing the wrong number, but when they say that the money was received they are apparently lying. I sent hours trying to solve this, but it seems impossible.
I would be inclined to give WorlRemit "minus 1-star" if I could. I had a problem logging in to my account so I sent an email (over a week ago) but, unsurprising, did not receive a reply. I subsequently called the customer support line and found the experience to be the worst I have ever had. The agent was not actively listening, she was discourteous and spoke over me for the majority of the time then she just "muted" the call and left me hanging...As a long-standing customer, I have encountered a number of issues with the quality of customer service I have received, these ranged from unsatisfactory to non-existent but this latest experience has been the final straw... I have removed the application from my device and will make sure to give feedback on my experience via online channels and through personal communication.
I've sent money overseas, however the many has not arrived to the recipient. I asked proof about my escalation than refund request but they are not able to provide even a single email with the details so far. The customer service is not responsive, IVR menu for calls cutting off my calls but specifically from my registered contact number.
Escalation was promised several times, even the delivery time is multiplied already. Refund also not works, much more details but only in short. Automated chat bot is also useless and the 30-40 minutes waiting times in the queue. Untalented management obviously and scammer intention. Avoid that *******@it..
I paid out some money to world remit to transfer money to Zimbabwe it's been almost a week they still have not paid out the money or given an explanation all they say is the transaction is delayed. When i asked For a refund they refused. It's almost like I fell for a scam

After I wrote my review, that has been seen over 4,000 times, I wanted to write again but was prohibited until a three month waiting period. WorldRemit is still the worst money transfer in the world. I have since joined two other money transfer apps and they have made every transfer flawlessly. Unlike WorldRemit, the other have a very professional customer service hotline and it works great. I am now able to send more money overseas than ever before. Don't make the mistake of using WorldRemit. They are not helpful, professional or practical. Beware! Don't use WorldRemit!
On the Fourth of July weekend, in the United States, when all banking and professionals are away on holiday, I received a six day notice that WORLD Remit Was going to shut down my account. I was given a very invasive list of questions to answer, and many of them were quite personal in nature and not professional at all. I responded on the day after the holiday and heard nothing from them again. I tried to call on the number that they provided And was told, "due to high call volume you will have to wait between five and 10 minutes." The phone was never answered and I stayed online for an hour on three different occasions. My phone call was never answered. I had asked for help in order to get the right information to the right place and no help was given. Instead, they cut off a customer who had been using them to support his family for five years. I have since found other means of transferring money to my wife and four children. There are plenty of other agencies out there and you don't have to rely upon WORLD Remit. They are inapt, incapable, and very unprofessional. I am happy that I am no longer with them, and I would never return to them for business. I urge you to consider any other Money sending agency then WORLD Remit. You will end up being very hurt, and in my case, my family was abandoned with no way of sending finances. You have been warned.
Money has not arrived yet in Colombia.
I have sent money to my Colombian bank account since December 18. I have talked with the support service by chat many times, and they always give the same reason. "Our local agent has an issue; we are trying to fix it, and we will send you an update in the next 24 hours to your email.". I did not even receive the updated email. They don't give me any real solutions; I only have to wait for them. I need my money ASAP in Colombia. PLEASE DON'T SEND MONEY WITH THEM! I am afraid they stole all my money. They answered here very fast, but again, they didn't contact me and they haven't found a real solution... My money have disappeared until now!
I got stung by a company using world remit, the company refused to accept responsibility. I hope anyone reading this will know that if you see a charge from this company you will watch out, definitely protecting scammers.
The recipient has not received the money (260 Canadian Dollars). Up to now, it has been 4 days. WorldRemit system says "Delivered" Transaction # *******. I spoke to their customer service. They said there is an issue at the recipient end. They will fix it. When? The customer service agent asked for the Phone Statement to prove that my family did not receive that money. I sent that statement to them, through the email that they gave me. I called them to check on the development, they are not picking up my phone anymore? Please refund that money. My family needs that money, I want to know where is my money.
Answer: Have they refund your money? Am still waiting for my money to be refund since two weeks now.
