I actually wound up as a trial member here when i tried joining a trial for read-ebooks.club (whose "broken" sign in is just the url to the public front page, NOT an actual sign in), which jumped me over to myfirstebook.club.
No mention was made that the membership would be at A DIFFERENT WEBSITE THAN WHERE I SIGNED UP OR THE WEBSITE IT FORWARDED ME TO.
THE SITE I WAS FOREARDED TO SAYS "NO SUCH EMAIL" WHEN I TRIED LOGGING IN.
I only found that it was actually activated at writng.com through the completely unmentioned 1 dollar charge they put through to my card, in the charge details, otherwise id have NEVER known until too late where to TRY to cancel the trial.
No emails AT ALL. None. Not even to give membership or billing statement info from EITHER site. Likely because then youd have the info needed to get back to the site to cancel...
The book that they claimed to have in e-format (showed a picture and the "sales pitch"/book info and everything) WAS NOT EVEN ACTUALLY IN THEIR SELECTIONS.
When I tried calling, the cs agent just repeatedly said "hello" each time, pretending not to be able to hear my cancelation demand. I JUST LAST WEEK purchased a brand new top tier Samsung phone so I **KNOW** theres nothing wrong with the mic.
So... I emailed the address listed and heard nothing back, not that i expected to at that point...
Going to have to change out that card number immediately and notifying my payment processor of the situation BEFORE they get the chance to run out my "trial" and bill my card.
IMAGE NOTE: That screen shot is the "long hold" on the sign in "link". As can be seen, it's nothing more than a link to the website, NOT a legitimate sign in...
Tip for consumers:
Stay away.
