Small music shops order from sites like these and then mark the items up like hell. A box of reeds that is 20$ on this website is 40$ in a local music shop. Also if you sign up for first chair rewards (it's free) you get free shipping on everything. Even if it is a 2$ tube of cork grease you get free shipping. Customer service is great if something doesn't come in or if it comes in damaged then they send you another one without a problem.
Can't describe how unsatisfied and frustrated I feel with this company. First is the incompetent people that works on customer support, can't honor a coupon code, and can't resolve issues regarding items that were damaged during shipping. Have contacted quite a few costumer representatives about an inquiry of a piano that arrived damaged, either they replaced or give me a discount for keeping it in that condition, sent them pictures and still asking for more. Come on! Is either a replacement or discount. I think they don't wanna do either. Beware!

I tried to order an instrument from this website and immediately regretted it. I ended up having to call customer service over 5 times before I decided to cancel my order all together. Some customer service agents were friendly and understanding but others were rude and defensive. I'm still not 100% sure that this website isn't a scam. Do not put yourselves through the hassle of ordering from this company.
I agree with the others. Customer service at this company is horrible! I wish I had gotten names but really don't think this business cares. Defective clarinet and customer service will say anything to get you off the phone then never follow through with commitments. I felt OK after my initial call but just felt violated when I realized that they didn't follow through and probably never had the intention of doing anything. Can't believe that their school accounts get better service.

Paid for next day shipping as this was urgent.
The email I received says Friday afternoon or Saturday shipping may be delayed.
Received an email saying the item was shipped on Friday morning!
Tracking showed Tuesday delivery!
Emailed customer service to complain, and of course no response.
"Great" customer service.
NO! I will not recommend this store to anyone.
After ordering on 11/28/2020 kept getting backorder notices. Called customer service 5 times and was told "order will be coming next week" after each call. Now on Feb 13,2021 received notice of cancellation. Just reordered from different company and getting order in 2 days. Think twice before ordering from Woodwind & Brass.
They force you to create an account and once done, you can't subscribe without having to call them. Pretty sure it's illegal nowadays to spam people with email and no automatic unsubscribing method. I'll never buy there for that and the other many bad reviews.
Tip for consumers:
No tip. Don't create an account as they suggest to unsubscribe, you will end up having to call them anyway. NO automatic way to unsubscribe from mailing list nor edit email preferences!!!

Placed an order Friday at 1042 am. They say it wasn't until Monday though my bank charges and the internet receipt say otherwise. Most companies where the items are in stock gather the order and once your cards been charged they ship the item. Not this company. Gabriella and Glorianna will be perfectly happy to tell you you're not reading the orders OR your bank statement correctly. This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. They are unprofessional, rude, belittling, crass, inept, etc. If I were you, I would find a company that actually WANTS your business because a guitar (gig) bag and some guitar pics are apparently beyond their ability to ship in a timely manor.
I am exceptionally impressed with the customer service provided by the staff of the WWBW. I have placed 12 orders from them in the past five months. Each order was perfectly processed in an exceptionally timely manner. Dealing with their staff has been a pleasure!
I bought a new Epipone Riviera a few months ago, asked if they could ship it in a hard shell case (I will buy from them) instead of the cardboard box & tehy said yes they can do that. The guitar was on back order - next day they ship me the case... I call & say you were supposed to ship the case with the guitar IN IT! So they had to get it back & issue me a refund. When the guitar came in (months later) they ship it to me in a cardboard box. They never looked at the guitar to see if all was ok... it had sharp fret ends, I had to have fixed. I bought it from them to save some money... mistake. Next guitar I bought from Sweetwater who sent it in a hard shell case & inspected the guitar for any problems. What a difference... I would not buy from Woodwind & Brasswind again.

Customer service is very rude! Called to check in on a delivery I paid extra for overnight shipping that didn't arrive on its delivery date. I called in just to double check with them, and the representative said fedex probably has more important shipments to do before yours, like covid vaccines. Wtf! Asked for my 50 bucks back for overnight shipping he said NO even though it says on their site they'll refund your shipping cost if not delivered on time if shipping out before 5pm. It was checked in a 3.00pm at fed ex, so well before they're 5pm cutoff. Screw this company.

Ordered a present for my wife's birthday was promised a specific day called later order was pushed back a whole month was not even going to get it before Christmas called several more times to complain each time I called the order was pushed back several more days until the date give me now is a month and a half later not even sure if I'm even going to get the product it's a shame I'd like to get it, it was a Black Friday sale So I won't get that price anywhere else other stores had the product at the time but now they're completely out of stock everywhere. Asked for a supervisor several times they either say that they will call you back or to call on a different day
Well I have dealt with Woodwind and Brasswind for awhile now and had been treated fairly good until my last order and them the company lost all their integrity which is very important to me. I bought a NEW Martin D18 Modern Deluxe but was sent a used guitar. I know because the end pin had been sanded (still didn't fit). Martin does not sand the end pin, I called and they said absolutely not because this could possible cause the end pin to slip when the wood shrinks. Also plastic missing from case logo and it had scratches on the logo. There whet also light pick scratches and the strings stayed in tune. New strings always stretch over the first couple of days until played enough. So I called the company and they said all this was done by Musicians Friend "The Private Reserve Shop" were they setup all the high end guitars. BS I have higher end guitars from them and nothing was done to them by MFI Private Reserve Shop guaranteed. They offered me excuses and $50 credit. I will not do business with them anymore. The guitar was setup by my luthier and sounds awesome but it is a principle thing for me.

Use Sweetwater, you might pay a little more but they do what they say so far.

Bought a pocket trumpet from them five years ago,
It was more than 500$ down the drain.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY
Apparently they filed for bankruptcy a while back,
So of course, they can't take care of their business.
What did I expect…
Tip for consumers:
They have filed for Bankruptcy. Not to be trusted.

They constantly lie about when your record will be shipped. Followed by more lies about the record being pressed and ready to send. Customer Service representatives are rude and useless as well. I called to cancel the order as the delivery date kept getting extended. I ordered an album on 12/30/20, and today is 05/02/21. THIS COMPANY SUCKS, READ THE REVIEWS AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This is some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Rude, manipulative and completely indifferent. 1 star is 1 too many!
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR WHATVER ITEM YOU ARE PURCHASING AND THEY WILL CONTINUE TO CHANGE THE DELIVERY DATE, UNTIL IT'S ULTIMATELY CANCELLED, ALL THE WHILE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY!!

I did not receive anything and I tried to call their number and they did not pick up at all. Don't trust this website it's a scam! People who rated this 5 stars are a bot.
Avoid at all costs. Not worth the hassles if you have a problem. Also, try getting off their email list. The more you ask, the more they send. Bad experience all around
Constant lies about when the record will be ready. Followed by lies about the record being pressed and ready to send. Followed by lies about customer service getting back to you. Followed by CANCELLING THE ORDER AFTER HALF A YEAR OF WAITING. This is some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Rude, manipulative and completely indifferent. Just the worst!
Bought bricks of ProMark drumsticks in various sizes at great prices. Also bought Road Runner soft cases for drums and a Road Runner rolling hardware bag. Best prices I could find anywhere
They ship very expensive instruments FedEx without requiring contact with recipient (e.g., leaving at mouth of rural driveway.)
They send you an email (their convenience) saying your product is backordered, requiring your re-authorization, but do not offer a way to reauthorize the order via return email or even on their website. You have to phone them and wait several minutes to talk to one of their grumpy people. If the only way is by phone then by God they should phone ME. And the only way is by phone because they are too cheap to pay for functionality to make it convenient for me. Convenience is reserved for their shareholders.
If this companies is going to rely on technology to make their money, they need to invest in some technology. For example, their sales page for my backordered item says it is in stock and ready to ship. The customer "service" guy says no, that is wrong. I say that is irritating and he gets grumpy right back and offers to put in a "repair ticket" for me. How clunky is that?
Their "chat" button is a decoy that simply activates an hourglass GIF.
As soon as I can extract this one item from them that they owe me, I will buy from somebody else forever. Nuff said?
So u buy something they take your money then no confermation email or anything i contacted paypay and complained and cotacted them no reply stay away from this crap company
Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT give Woodwind & Brasswind your email info. I made that mistake, and once the 2x daily emails started pouring in, I tried to use the simple 'unsubscribe' button. Did that work? Nope! It just told me to log in and change my email and subscription preferences. So, I obediently followed those instructions, thinking I would then be able to unsubscribe. Did that work? Nope! I got a message that I needed to call during business hours to request an unsubscribe. "Well, that's a first!" I thought, as I begrudgingly dialed the number. A sales associate answered and immediately tried to sell me stuff. I told him I just wanted to unsubscribe. I gave him an earful about how unsubscribing shouldn't be this difficult, but his perma-grin-soaked voice, unwavering through it all, tipped me off that he fields a lot of such calls. He assured me I'd be unsubscribed within 10 business days. Now, here I am 20 business days later, still on the receiving end of multiple WW&BW spam emails per day. In short, stay away. Stay far, far away!
Ordered a n album in August they canceled it in December after promising it'll be shipped for months.
