“Great little site on where to find local auctions by...”

Great little site on where to find local auctions by zip code or by where you live but I am not sure if the local auctions are all legitimate. They do not seem to screen them and just list many local auctions. Still a great place to find cheap local auctions and real goods. Better then these so called fake penny auctions but requires much more work going to a local auction and buying what you want for cheap.

Key Date Coins operates on Auction Zip, KDC does not ship purchases in a timely manner or not at all, they also do not give refunds even when they state they will. Auction Zip does not hold their venders to any credibility and will not help you get your purchases from their vendors or refunds. Proving they do not care about their own customers. Do not buy from this site.

Tip for consumers:
Crooks in a huge way.

Hope Auctionzip goes away for good... and someone else is smart enough to replicate the old site - user friendly, handy calendar, no fees for buyers looking to find auctions, etc. Had to get greedy and try to double dip by collecting on both ends. I fear this will be your end. Too bad... it was great before the change!

What happened to the calendar? Impossibly difficult now. You are a pack of idiots. Nothing is geographic or by date. It's like there trying to push a few listings down my throat and some are out of state. It was an easy streamlined experience before but now complete chaos

They removed the calendar which was used as a searching tool for people looking for certain items. You could locate a sale within minutes and now it might take hours to days to go through meaningless garbage. I don't use the site anymore

Auction calendar is gone?!?
Terrible new format... must wade through countless listings that do not pertain.
The calendar would let us know what was going on the days we were available to go to auctions. Change it back or lose us forever.

I gave an attic full of toys to Lark Mountain Auctions in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Nice, clean vintage toys. I was never so disappointed when I received my check. A beautiful vintage Barbie dream house $12.00, a cricket doll with all her accessories $6.00. All my sons Gi Joe soldiers, compounds, and jeeps etc. $1.00. If I knew how dishonest this auction house was, I would have donated my toys to charity. Oh well, what a learning lesson. Sellers BEWARE!

Auctionzip used to be one of my very favorite websites. I would faithfully check it every morning, seven days a week. For years, based solely on Auctionzip, I went to 20 to 40 auctions a year, up to 150 miles away from me, and spent many thousands of dollars. Beginning in about February of 2020, Auctionzip revised its website. It is utterly useless now. I think they owe it to their longtime users to explain why they did what they did, but, to my knowledge, they have not. I'm praying for a new auction website to open up so I can start going to auctions again.

Most if not all auctioneers over inflate appraisals. Do your research for example a 1914 $5 federal note starting bid $750 on ebay average $75. Do your research be sure or if your a collector, buy & sell you should know again. Specially on jewelry, expensive items you will be in for a big surprise if you don't. Paid $200 for an item appraised from 1500 2000. Turns out a $100 is the actual price.

As others have mentioned this used to be a very place to search with the calendar format.
It is a totally screwed up dysfunctional, bloated mess now.
Fortunately I have found the top 10 or so auction places in my area and won't have to use this cluster f@*k
Any more. If I could could give them zero stars I would.

Auction Zip has changed the format. It is more time consuming and cumbersome to use without the calendar. Do auctioneers realize people will now miss a lot of items in their auctions? Does anyone know of any other services online to find auction information? Time to change.

This USED to be a functional/helpful site. It does nothing for me now. 1) Bring back the calendar, the new format stinks. You have to click all your desired criteria each time 2) Keyword: when you use a keyword, it used to come up highlighted in the the auction listing; it no longer does. Because the auctioneers do not always put pictures of everything they are selling, at least with a highlighted key word, you at least knew the item was actually there. Now I have to read each very long auction description and hope to find my "keyword"... and PS, it's not often even there. 3) I click auctions to VIEW ONLY ( I don't do on line auctions) and they still show me on line auctions! Who ever decided to change the format needs to be fired.

Auctionzip change search. Not having the calendar anymore makes searching for auctions in my area impossible. Change for the worst is not always for the better. If it not broke why screw around with it. I hope there's a competitor out there that has a search calendar, I'll use it. All the auctions I been to the last couple of weeks this has been the buzz "auctionzip sucks without calendar" what good is it? Also don't bother to email them about this problem because they don't respond. Without calendar I rate auctionzip negative 10. One auctioneer said he might need to start advertising in the newspaper again. Auctioneers won't need auctionzip if no one can find there auctions.

After being approved to bid in an auction I did just that, bidding on a valuable piece of artwork. I lost out because Invaluable, an AuctionZip site, says my bid was "submitted, not accepted." After multiple days of trying I have yet to receive any explanation from Invaluable as to how or why that might be the case. Never using Invaluable again.

What a joke! He has his favorite customer and sells everything to that person and calls the auction. He ripped off his client, will not run multiple rings, makes rude comments to buyers. Avoid this Joker at all cost! I'm not sure he is even legal, I believe sales tax has to be collected, no tax was collected at his auction. Today's auction was called and he did not have the nerve to make the announcement hisself but had one of his hired hands do the dirty work.

You used to be able to search for a specific item and in the listing it would highlight that item not anymore. Bring back the calendar format as everyone has asked. Some guy with no brains probably thought this way a better idea well obviously this guy has never gone to auctions or knows nothing about auctions. This site needs to go away and I hope someone comes up with a better format

The changes on the new site makes this site of no use for anyone searching for which auctions to attend. I have used for many years and have traveled from Virginia to Pa, Ohio, W. V., Tn, the Carolinas and more, Now it is practically impossible to find auctions quickly. It's just a tremendous mess. Why take away the calendar?

You have zero positive reviews since you changed the site. Buyers like me find the calendar invaluable to finding auctions that are offering what we want to bid on. Without it I've stopped using the site- as apparently countless others have. I'm sure the auctioneers who are currently using the site will be pleased with the decreased interest and bidding on their auctions. Do you guys work for the government? Bravo!

Beware when buying off of these auction sites. The buyers premiums are high, but they are listed. Shipping charges is where you will get ripped off. Dixon auctions charged me over 90 dollars to ship a 5lb item
Update: package arrived 4 days after the last post. Item was very nice

This site used to be my favorite tool for finding items at auctions. You eliminated the calendar and I have problems finding the auctions that I am interested in. I now search by the name of each auctioneer which is very time consuming.

I wonder if anyone is actually bidding against me... have not won an auction because most of the used merchandise such as the watches are auctioning for as much as new items. If it looks as if i might win a bid and actually get a good deal the screen will as 'pass' and the item is skipped even after I was high bidder. I think i will stay away from this site for now on.

I've been using this site for a couple of years-have purchased quite a few items, but the site has changed over the last 6-8 months. If you look closely at the listings and where the "auctions" are located, you'll see that the companies in the Los Angeles/SoCal area sell the same stuff, they just rotate it from one to the other. They don't have offices--they operate out of private mailboxes. When you bid, most of the time [they] bid against you to jack the prices up. In many (most) cases you'll pay well over retail. When you "win" as the top bidder, they refuse to sell to you, but if you make a mistake, they say it's a binding contract. Stay away if you'e smart

I have been using this site for over a year to find local auctions in the midwest. The information given by the site has so far been 100 percent accurate, and easy to navigate.
