I have to say this is the best investment I have ever made. I got this service for $10 a month (basic) after having my identity stolen twice. It is worth every penny. I get email and text alerts whenever anyone tries to open up credit using my personal info including SS#. I have applied for credit twice and twice they alerted me. One time before that there was a false alarm because the number was close to mine. If you want to protect yourself, make this one wise investment. You won't be sorry.
Customer service:(I actually used to recomend LIfelock!) when you need them, a joke! ZERO help. One of the complaints that I was calling about, (after 10 min on hold) the rep thought I was calling about my actual Life Lock account! Clueless, inexperienced, and unfit, unskilled. In a difficult time, when my accoutnts are compromised, these are NOT THE PEOPLE you want, watching your back. HUGE waste of time on the phone. AND MONTHLY charges. DO NOT RECCOMEND ANYMORE! And this was 2 calls and 2 different reps. It is a shame! This WAS a good company. But, again, I would NEVER recomend the to ANYONE again.

I've connected twice for a live agent regarding concerns. The first agent cam online then asked for a code which I had to log into another side of the site to obtain the code, by then, 30 seconds had gone by, the agent closed the chat. I am trying again but it's been 10 minutes waiting for a live agent. Ridiculous.
The absolute worst customer service in the world! I would never recommend this company to anyone. I called to do something that should be simple. My first phone call was at 10 AM. My last phone call was at 7 PM, of the 12 people I spoke with only one of them completely understood the English language, six of them hung up on me. Only one of them understood what I was trying to do. They spoke poor English, and they might know the English words, but they couldn't put them together in a sentence in order to understand what they meant. I was reporting a death and needed to close the account, I needed the information on where to send the death certificate to. It took 9 extremely frustrating, excruciatingly painful hours, 12 phone calls & 2 chats to reach a human being that understood the English language and could solve that problem. It took him a total of 10 minutes to completely get the info & submit it. No one should ever have to go through 9 hours of pure hell to report a death and close an account..
Tip for consumers:
That they are clueless.
I upgraded my membership from standard to advantage. In doing so LifeLock changed my membership ID and so forth. The changes caused me not to be able to lock my credit file. After calling support seven plus times issues still unresolved. The technical support personnel keeps telling me the case has been escalated and that someone will call me. To no avail no one has called. I'm still unable to use a feature that I am paying for. Poor customer service and technical support. English of those you speak with is an Asian thick accent which prevents good communication. Don't use LifeLock because they do not value their customers. Bad business!
Tip for consumers:
LifeLock has poor customer service and technical support. Don’t use this company.

Pls do not use LifeLock, save yourself time and energy when you try to cancel, they say they will and then they continue to charge you. I cancelled May 2022 and still going through it. I called in sept 2022 to tell them the issue, they agreed with me, said they would refund and cancel my service... guess what? They didn't! No refund and NO CANCELLATION! Going through credit card company now to start a case against them. They're supposed to stop this sort of stuff not instigate it. Dreadful. Shame on you Life lock!
If you have both Lifelock and Norton, try to cancel only Lifelock. You will spend hours on the phone, listen to their excuses, be offered discounts, be transferred from department to department, be promised you will get a return call from a supervisor (which never comes), and end up unable to cancel your membership. After this experience, I would really like to offer a review of less than 1, they don't deserve that high a rating.
Ok, I swear I don't work for Credit Karma. It's just after several months of using both services I'm baffled by the fact CK actually shows changes to my credit score and LifeLock doesn't. Oh, LL will e-mail you once a month to say your "Monthly Credit Score is Available!" But it doesn't change. I'm inclined to believe the former service more, considering all the financial factors in my life. Generally it just seems like the former service is more on the ball with various things. Why am I paying $22/month for something that isn't really doing much?
I have my identity stolen along with my money three days ago, I called LifeLock to have them investigate the case, first thing they said sorry it's not an identity theft. I got $10,800 stolen from me, and all LifeLock did said sorry after 14 years of been a member funding a major scammer company lying to people that they are protecting up to one million dollars. Save your money don't trust LifeLock, they are thieves and scammers!

LifeLock don't waste your money! My bank account which was registered with LifeLock as was my debit card which supposedly under their insurance policy supposed to reimburse stolen funds. So long as you don't voluntarily give out your information. Long story six months they made me sign affidavits go to the federal trade commission Police Department jump through multiple hoops. In the end they transferred me over to the insurance department Sedgwick denied we do not cover cyber attacks. I called Life Lock as a new customer and I asked the young lady on the phone do you reimbursement cover bank accounts yes! Do you cover being hacked yes! That's funny I've just been denied. I have tried calling the insurance company Andrea TInnon *******493 still holding my breath. I've reached out to Life Lock nothing. I have been a member for over 10 years if I could only get back the money that I gave them would be more than what they have done for me. LifeLock is a fraud they steal your money.
Norton 360 premium 1 kept pushing an upgrade to Lifelock. We chose to upgrade to LL Advantage for $6.50 for rest of current subscription (221 days). 3 hours later; 1 chat session and 3 phone calls we were told we would have to reinstall and lose all our accounts and passwords and pay $99. They kept trying to enter different credit cards to not bill us after we've always paid recurring subscriptions through PayPal for the last 14 years. Don't bother trying to upgrade to LL. Way too painful.
Called with problem on my Mac. Tech Rep had me on the phone for almost 60 min. He kept referring to his Supervisor while keeping me in hold. Never fixed the issue. Hung up and called back. Kept on hold again for 20 min no one ever picked up!
I HAD been a member for 3 years whenever I would recieve an Alert I could never talk to an agent. It's the same recording over & over they are having a high volume of calls doesn't matter what time or day same recording... Dont waste your money! Today I called 5 times on hold one of the times for 47 minutes I finally hung up called back 38 minutes on hold etc... canceled my membership. Not sure what I was paying for?
They can't even answer my calls or explain why I got an alert. Someone is making money off a service they don't provide.
I have a lifelock on me under my mom and I can not take it off. They tell me that I need her account to pull out. It is downright dangerous because I did not consent to the track, yet it is happening to me. All they tell me is that they need her information to take me off, but if I didn't open it obviously I don't have that information. It's incredibly dangerous as they won't let you take it off.

From day one of getting life lock I have been trying too get into my account with no success! Called several times and gave them all my identification. I wrote down my password so I know it is correct, still they are telling me it is incorrect, I know it isn't. I want to cancel, but they won't let me. They want me to fax them my ID. I am very nervous about it. I am a senior citizen my income is limited, I don't know what too do. I think they deceive people if and when I do get into my account I WILL CANCEL them out. Never again will I deal with Life lock
Just called and spent 30 minutes with customer service rep. Very difficult to understand, ask where he was and said Phillipines. Great, now I know why my acct has had a breach. Had a fraud alert about opening acct at a payday loan Co. Told them it wasn't us and he said ok, fill out credit report. Should get response in 6 weeks. Seriously? The point of us calling is so they stop the fraudulent activity... Gonna cancel service since I have to do all the work protecting my acct anyway. Horrible horrible. If I could give them a - star I would.
They do not prevent fraud, nor do they catch any of your account activities. I've had two credit cards stolen and used online, and I've had personally open accounts and had credit checks for loans. Life Lock did not catch any of them, or if they did they never notified me. Lastly, I cancelled them in July 2021, and suddenly they renewed my account in March 2022 and began charging more money? I tried calling them to tell them that they were cancelled in July 2021 and to refund my money for charges in 2022. They stated that that they will cancel my subscription again in 2022, but they refused to refund my money. Had to go too my credit card to disput charges and block merchant to prevent any possible re-occuring charges. Bottom line - don't waste your money on a company that was subject of a class action law suit were they failed do what they advertised to do and resulted in a small check payout to past members.

I am a disabled senior who subscribed to lifelock, I lost my job and my home and called to cancel my subscription... then 2 weeks later I was automatically charged for another month? I called again and they said sorry and would cancel again ut? They do not give refunds!
So I had $79 for food this month and they took $25 and said that I shouldn't be charged again next month?
Very poor business and the poor suffer!
Im on the phone with customer service and they refuse to cancel. They are stealing money from my account and will not stop. This is a fraudulent service. Buyer beware, steer clear
Like so many companies, they bait you with a low monthly fee and then do NOTHING! When an account was opened in my name, Life-lock said they only would notify me if the bank used Equifax for their credit report. THEY ONLY MONITOR ONE CREDIT BUREAU. When I started with them the fee was reasonable. It has more than doubled in recent years and now they want more. Following my recent experience with identity theft, they tell me I didn't get an alert from them because I am not paying them enough. I need to double again what I am paying. Even then, they will only spring into action once money has been stolen, the mere act of opening an account does not trigger action.
I should have known that this was yet another scam when they wouldn't open the account until I provided them a credit card to auto charge renewals.
Lifelock openly joined norton.
What a scam, the fox has now joined forces with the farmer to deceive the public.
The crooked cop is colluding with the robber for purpose of job security...
I cancelled 4 times and they still billed me. Unless you plan to use this service until you die or until you cancel your credit card; you can not cancel. They won't let you
I signed up for lifelock after discovering that I was a recent victim of identity fraud, someone had taken out a $3,500 loan in my name and of course never made a payment. I discovered this when my credit went from 810 to 690 overnight. I signed up for lifelock so I could check and monitor any other possible identity fraud. Ironically, the day after I created my lifelock account I had some fraudulent charges on my Amex card. When I log into lifelock and check the alerts it says "Good news, you don't have any alerts or notifications to review". The identity fraud doesn't show up, the credit card fraud doesn't show up, just a green checkmark and a message that everything is good. Obviously lifelock is terrible at doing the one thing they are supposed to do. So I cancelled my autorenewal, so that after the first year which I already paid for the account will be cancelled and lifelock wont get any more of my money. The cancellation process immediately took me to an "Are you sure?!" page, I clicked "yes". Only to be brought to another are you sure page, then another, and another. I think I had to click yes about 6-7 times. At one point the yes button disappeared from the center of the screen where I had just clicked and was replaced by a "Don't cancel" button. Like a shell game. Now I feel like I've been scammed and ripped of twice, once by the person who took out a loan in my name, and once again by lifelock. They use fear and deceit t
As a member of lifelock I had several attempts by ID thieves to obtain credit cards using my information. I called to speak to the agents there and was surprised that they had no clue as to what had happened. Don't they claim to be a protection against that sort of activities. They didn't inform me as to the attempts, in fact I informed them and asked them why they didn't know about these attempts and all they could say was that was that they were glad that I had informed them, which is why I thought I was paying them in the first place. I told them to cancel account and send me an email with a confirmation number. When I didn't receive the email I called back to ask again for the confirmation number. At this point they asked me security questions and told me that I didnt get the answers correct and could not access my account to even let me know they had honored my request. I informed the representative that I had in fact answered everything correctly, because who else would know my secret answers except for me. At that point she said that they get their information directly from the internet and as we all know, not everything on the Internet is factual or accurate. So if my information had been stolen and accounts created fraudulently, that would be the same information they would use to identify the real me. Does that make sense? Come on lifelock, is that how you protect your customers or is it to protect your job longevity by making people believe you are a legitimate service. Get real jobs and stop praying on the fears of decent people.
I got life lock for my children and myself because of fears of fraudulent attempts at our identity. Well for some reason they had problems taking the monthly "payment" for one of my children. So I fixed that and then changed my card thinking it was the card I had used. On my third payment I get an email saying that one of my accounts, the payment could not be taken. So I call that same day and spoke with agent who looked at my account and said everything was fine. Then five days later I receive a phone call from LifeLock saying that I still owe for one account. So I call the up right away and spoke to a lady who told me one of my accounts had not been paid. So I ask to speak to the supervisor and he told me first that my daughter's billing date was on the 29th when I knew that was not true because when I signed up my kids and I all had the same billing date on the 25th and then he changes it and tells me they tried to process her payment on the 25th and it did not go through so they tried again on the 29th. Moral of the story be careful who you trust. Not everyone's out to help you.
I got LifeLock due to concerns for previous fraudulent charges on my account in the hopes there services would protect me. I was deeply mistaken. The setup is fairly simple with alert text messages if a charge is made passed a certain amount on any of accounts you register on their website. However, the accounts you register are not routinely monitored. What brought this up to my attention was when there was a fraudulent charge on my credit card since I check it routinely via my phone app. Simple enough to contact my credit card company to inform them, but I was surprised I had not heard from LifeLock. I logged into the app not noticed that none of my accounts were updated in the past month!
I contacted their customer service which was a terrible terrible experience to say the least. Over 40 minute wait time to even talk to someone, after which he was "unsure" why this happened. I then requested to cancel the services since there was nothing they were doing that I couldn't do on my own, not to mention I was better at looking at my credit card statement than their once a month way. The representative then said he had to transfer me to another department to cancel the services. After waiting over an hour and still not hearing back from the company, I finally hung up. I am going to cancel their services by having my credit card company decline their monthly charges because it is impossible to reach someone. I can only imagine how much worse it can be if I actually need legal advice from them or assistance to manage an identity theft.
This is a scam service. Please learn from my mistake, stay away from this company. You will only be wasting your money.
