I've been an xfinity customer for over 5 years. Price I started at was $65 for unlimited, and last year it was raised to $80 without informing me any rates would be changing. I called, and they said this was because of the equipment I had, that I was now being charged for. Ok, fine. I was irritated, but I let it go. This year, I noticed my bill raised from $80 all the way to $116 without informing me beforehand. I called again— and it is ridiculously difficult to get someone on the line. The automated system seems built to run you around in circles! Finally, got someone on the line and after a long talk, they said I couldn't be refunded that extra price increase, but I could get a better deal at around $90 a month. I feel so over it— it feels sneaky, deceitful, and they have no loyalty to their long standing customers. Why gouge the price so high if you didn't even need to? If I could have been paying $90 a month instead of $116? Feels so shady. And after they sent me a new piece of equipment "free of charge" (which I have a sinking feeling I'll be charged for in another year), I've noticed my internet slower than before and around 2am each night it's been completely out. I'm frustrated. I'm over it. I'll be looking into other internet companies, because I sure as hell can't trust this one to be honest.
I rented 2,movies from x-finity and sound quality was so poor I could not watch them at all. I tried using the app but they said no refund available. Tech support is not available.
These people are the meaning of what you call filthy crooks, I arranged a payment plan to pay a week later and I called in 3 other times to confirm my services wouldnt be disconnected and surely it was! THEY EVEN PUT ME ON A FAKE HOLD WITH A SUPERVISOR TO ACT LIKE THEY HELPED ME AND THEY LEFT NO NOTES OF THAT WHEN I CALLED BACK TO CONFIRM WHAT THEY WROTE.
Xfinity has old, slow equipment all over the place. When they replace it with newer, they charge you!
So, choose, bad equipment or pay for what they should replace anyway.
This has been the worst experience in customer service, right next to Verizon. Its like theyre competing to see who has the worst customer service. Xfinity never sent me an email to renew my contract and they simply started to charge me $30 over my current plan without mentioning it to me. Let me make it perfectly clear that it is IMPOSSIBLE to speak with anyone over the phone. When I finally get ahold of someone through the online chat, they admit that the company was being sneaky and never sent an email! DO NOT GO WITH XFINITY.
My bill went up $20 a month after "promotion"; was told there wasn't any offer but $10 less and that was with a 2 year contract like NO WAY! All they wanted to do was talk about changing my phone service to them like are you crazy? Why would I switch phoen providers when you already SUCK as an internet provider. BUYER BEWARE -- RUN AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY AS POSSIBLE!
It is truly shocking to see that BBB gave Comcast an A+. Do you understand the concept of customer service? Do you know what value this score has? It means the company has exceeded expectations. And Comcast is far from that standard. From the 16 years that I have been their customer, I have only had negative experiences. They cash in on their monopoly. Last phone call was on 4/4/22: my latest contract is supposed to expire in April, and after being a 16-year customer, I asked them to keep the same deal. But every time the contract expires, they jack up the price. The new customers have a better price deal than old-timers. When the agent offered me three levels of services and to choose the cheapest (they all came to the same price as the most expensive plan), she stated that she doesn't have an available promotion for the cheapest plan anymore, which she offered ten minutes before. For these 16 years, I've paid them $38,400, a solid down payment for any house in my neighborhood. They operate on a level below even car dealers and timeshare salesmen—they want you to sign right there and then, without any paper preview. She kept emphasizing loyalty and grandfathering in—they don't know the meaning of these words. They are blood-suckers and money-lovers. And they don't care. The score would be 0 if possible. It doesn't surprise me that BBB gives them this stellar grade, since it's funded by Xfinity. Xfinity has board members on BBB. This is what corporate America has become—companies who have sold their soul to slave away to the dollar.
I don't recommend xfinity. You end up paying a lot more than you expect. Not worthy. Both the technical service and customer service are frustrating. Not worthy of your money or your time.
If this is not the worst service ever, I don't know what is Xfinity sucks so $#*!in bad I $#*!in hate it they're useless and they're services is horrible horrible and expensive this the worst choose I've did is going to xfinity
I've been with Xfinity for about 3/4 years. My recent interaction with them was awful. I always keep record of my conversations too as the employees here lie. (a tip for new customers, screenshot everything!)
I chatted in with one employee who was nice, told me he was able to do "magic work" to get my bill down, keep everything the same and added unlimited data at no extra charge. I was so happy about that. But I check my account later and see nothings changed even after approving through email twice this new deal. I chatted in again to confirm everything was okay. Someone else told me it was all good on their end.
Got an email regarding my upcoming bill, of course it was this old amount. So this time I called in. Spent forever on the phone. Couldn't get ahold of anyone. Another downfall of Xfinity, a way to just simply contact anyone. Finally when I was connected with a rep they told me rest assured I will not be charged this incorrect amount.
Now just a few days ago. I was charged still the wrong amount and had to chat in AGAIN! At this point I'm fuming. I was able to get a credit on my account, have yet to see that on my card, and was told I won't have to pay at all next month. Guess we will see what happens.
Worst customer service and even worse business practices.
Run don't walk away from this company. I made a payment arrangement to keep my internet up. They accepted it and STILL cut me off. Then they wanted me to pay to speak to a person
We got the special 69.99 for internet and tv with free install would be a good choice for us. My first call got us a free modem in the bargain, I needed to get my husband on the phone so I asked her if she could call me back, oh sure not a problem. Never heard back.
Couple of days later I call again and spoke with Henrietta Jones got everything ordered (no modem this time) 2tv's and internet, free installation. On install day the tech was late, sat in his truck outside for 20 mins then when he did come to the front door he reeked of cigarettes. When we showed him the locations of the modem and tv s, they had existing outlets. Then he tells us that it's 100 bucks a run. A grand total of $300. When I mentioned the free installation all we got was a deer in the headlights look and the repeated $300 for the install. So I guess I was supposed feel obligated to pay since he was here already. Screw that. After he left I was getting more pissed and then he has the nerve to come back and ask us if anyone calls to make sure we say he was there... huh?! I don't trust this company and I feel like I am ranting for nothing. They don't feel like they have to improve so I will stick with the devil's I know.
I moved to the area last year and was under the impression that Xfinity was my only option for cable and internet. When I spoke to the salesman, he discussed switching my phones as well. I considered it but told him my home was being built and I would not make settlement until the end of the month. What did they do? Mail the SIM cards to an unfinished home. Needless to say, I never received them but was being billed for cards even though I called them immediately when I saw they had shipped. Fast forward, I just started renting out my home and was looking to try to find the cheapest internet deal I could get for the tenants. I realized to get the best rate, I would have to switch my phones so I decided to do that. I spoke to ELEVEN people that day over the course of TEN hours and the only thing I wound up doing was disconnecting both cable and internet because I was going around in circles. Here's the kicker, after spending all that time trying to give them business, they started calling me a day and a half later because I hadn't taken the equipment to the UPS store! Are you kidding me? Avoid this company if possible!
I have so much to say, Read the reviews 1st, wish I had. *Xfinity is only interested interested in their own bottom line. *Why would they bill you in advance? To invest your money at no expense to themselves. *Your money should stay in your bank account and draw its own interest! *Multiple that by Millions of customers. *I had my service for 7 days and canceled, never installed equipment and thet still billed me $15.00 WTF. * "HULU", is my service provider and it's fantastic thus far. *You don't need the stress Xfinity will create in your life. *I hope they will fail as a business, BUT, as long as they trick you into paying in advance their executives will continue cheating out of your money and provide service they have no interest in giving. * I'VE NEVER SEEN ANY REVIEWS WITH THIS MANY 1 STAR RATING!
For over two years Xfinity has been overcharging my wife 4 to 5 time what she should be paying, $220/ month instead of $50 for an up to 400 Mbps, our internet was rather weak and slow, probably worth no more than 200 Mbps.
I called Xfinity and I was able to end my wife's account & opened a new account under my name for $50/month for Internet only of 400 Mbps speed.
They've admitted that they were overcharging my wife and they promised to refund her over $800, they've sent us 2 letters stating they owes us a refund of $800+, but it's been over a month and half, we did not receive any refund yet.
Now here is the bad news, instead of $50/ month which they said would be paid from the $800+ credit that they owe us, they automatically charged my bank acct $300 for one month. Signing up for automatic payment was a condition to get the discounted monthly fee. I switched the account to my name in April but by noted January on my account.
I look at billing details and it's absolutely ridiculous the numbers they hv on there, such as regular charge is $700+ but you have a discount of $60 for automatic payment, and $252 discount and a $90 discount and things of this type…,
Now after over 40' of wait, I got to talk to them on the phone, took one more hour of my time to verify my account info, they promised to address and fix the issue, issue me & my wife refunds for my $300 and her $800 +, they said it should b done in 2 to 3 business days. I would like to believe that, I hope I won't have to call an yell again.
Thank you for reading all this.
This has gotten very bad trying to get hold of some one AI runs this company please don't wast your time trying to reach them I feel bad for the older jokes who can't use computer
I would not recommend this company to anyone they lie they don't know what they are doing and one person tells you one thing next tells you something different all I wanted to do is transfer a phone over and I can't do that they told me that all I have to do is put the Sim card in and a network reset and restart my phone well then the other person said no you can't the second person told me that I can get a repayment option and that it can help with the dues and then I can help get my phone transferred over my bill is due the 4th they said I can set that up to pay then so you have both people telling you different save your money and time don't go with Xfinity
Asked Xfinity to cancel my service entirely on 12/20. Got a bill on 1/5. They canceled my phone service but not my internet. Called on 1/6 was assured they would cancel on 12/20 and send refund due (ignore bill just received). Called 1/25 about the refund I hadn't received. Was told it was processed 1/19 and I would get email to pick how I wanted refund sent. Got email asking me to pick how I wanted refund sent, did so. For next three days to email from my account saying Xfinity account would not accept the email. Called on 1/29 spent 10 minutes trying to get past the phone tree to a real person. Once I got one spent 35 minutes on the phone with person that had no idea how to handle the situation and kept putting me on hold while she went and asked someone else. Finally said all taken care of and I'd get refund in approximately 4 weeks. Told her that was ridiculous, sorry best she could do was put note in her file and ask that it be sent ASAP. Yeah that'll make a big difference I'm sure.
Their internet connection was good but any questions or help via service plan on a lengthy (very) time on the phone. Then 50-50 if you get a straight answer.
