Awful phone etiquette. Rabbit hole to hell. If you try to work with them on the telephone and actually get somebody to talk to you will get unbelievably frustrated heart attack zone.

Streaming

I switched to Xfinity's streaming service because of the high cost of their cable. The only reason I am giving them any stars at all is because of the price and the stores are at least nice to you. The online/app service just stinks. Takes forever to get a real person and when you do they don't listen to your real issues. After it took forever and extra hardware to make it work and communicate. Once I did the TV xfinity service cuts out and throws me off the system every 20 mins on average. The error message states I am off the network but I can get on Netflix as well as the internet is still on my phone. So I am not off the network. I had a guy out and everything is fine. He did say the electrical xfinity box outside needs a fix and it has never happened. When I am in the app the picture is jerky. When I call for service they want to send someone out again. I said no don't want to pay for that. Set me up with an appointment anyway. When the guy called me before the appointment I recognized his voice and visa versa I told him what happened. We canceled so I wouldn't have to pay. So I am getting no where. Very disappointed. I have been a very loyal customer since 2001. And I will be changing my service. Very very disappointed with this company.

They lied

When I signed up for xfinity 6 months ago I was told I qualified for the acp program and my bill would be a lot lower than what it was but first month they charged me 45$ I. Just paid it they said they never got my application even though the lady who signed me up on the phone said I was approved and all this is recorded so i applied again 2nd month comes still 45$ I paid it there was no Internet the box didn't work I asked them to send somebody to look at it but they wanted charge me 150$ for service I didn't have and I mentioned the acp program they said to apply again so I applied a 3rd time and was approved but they kept stating they never got it I just gave up it was a headache and stopped paying now they call me single day threatening me with collections n claiming I owe $175 for I paid first months and a deposit and never got to watch tv horrible experience my parents were about to sign up for xfinity but I convinced them not to

I would give them a zero if I could, the customer service is the worse I have ever dealt with.
I signed up for service with Xfinity July of 2023, I have had nothing but problems with my service and billing from day one. I had to have multiple techs come out because the service was never installed correctly, each time they charged me $100 and said it was on my end not their problem, if my service was not installed correctly that is their issue not mine. Finally a tech that knew what he was doing came out and got it all taken care of, I called and disputed charges of $200, I was given and adjustment after contacting them multiple times as well, it takes 2-3 hours every time I contacted them. No one knows what they are doing there. On 3.5.24 I looked at my acct and it showed a credit of $162.20, I received my invoice on 3.7.24 and it showed a credit of $31.80, I also received a late notice on the same day, I reached out to an agent via chat and was assured that I did not have a past due amount and I did have a credit of $31.80. Today 3.12.24 I received a notification that my acct is past due and I owe $260 or my service will be disconnected, How can I have a credit one day and be past due 5 days later? I reached out to chat and called Xfinity and no one could help me, I asked on 3 separate occasions to speak to a Manager and was not allowed to speak to one. I DO NOT OWE THIS

Too many problems.I am so frustrated, The problem is that I lose part of my package every month at about the same time. The problem is only part of the problem. The balance is communication. Never had a call that I did not have to call again, they send codes to enter on the computer or tv, and have to reboot the modem although it's the same problem, never works. Minimum 2 hrs around 15th of each month same response. By me by them. LORD HAVE MERCY PLEASE SEND ME ANOTHER INTERNET PROVIDER

Xfinity is the bane of my existence, when you first sign up it's great, they give you a great deal and it feels like you have a quality internet for a decent price

However, as you become a long time customer, they do what they can to gouge money from you as much as they can. Each and every time I am on the phone with customer service because of an issue, they try to sell me things and push things on me that sound like great deals but end up f*ing you over.

I moved to a new house and did the whole process online to move my service over. When I got to my new house, my service wasn't working and when I called customer service they said that I didn't have internet with xfinity and convinced me that I needed to set it up at the new house so I begrudgingly agreed. Unfortunately, the next day my service moved over and so somehow I had 2 internet subscriptions and got charged double for a few months without realizing. Once I caught it I called and tried to explain the situation and get the charges refunded, sometimes I got a helpful person and sometimes I got someone who straight up didn't believe me or said that I had an active service so obviously it's proper and they're not going to refund that

Fast forward, I got it cancelled and *almost* got the refund but they charged me a $230 cancellation fee. That was in March of 2023, it is now almost October and I am currently on the phone with the least helpful customer service agent I have ever spoken to. I'm out $230 and many hours of my time, but just got faster and cheaper service with ATT coming Saturday, here's hoping it goes well!

Internet cut off...

I'm giving 1 star for the overall idiocracy of xfinity. I got my gig internet installed and not but a day later on a Saturday my internet gets cut off, there was an issue with my address and they were claiming that whoever lived in the address before me owed Comcast money, which is not likely since I been living at said address since it was erected and we have never had xfinity service.

From the store, to the customer service on the phone they all have to rely on their speed review team that doesn't even open on weekend, leaving me and my family without internet for the whole weekend. I had to use up tmobile hotspotdata plan to get work done, 100gigs gets used up quick these days, and when I try to call to resolve the issue, they pass me around the phone till they told me to goto the store and bring some items, I did that and the people at the store were persistent that I do not have service with them and that a tech never came to my house or installed my internet, like why would I lie about that? They rely solely on the computer and notes like robots, no brains.

The internet is great I was happy when it was all working but when it all goes sour, you would expect for them to at least be able to handle all issues. I will keep the service but beware.

Perhaps xfinity can bring these things up before they install your internet. Absolutely bad customer service on this issue.

Never get Xfinity Mobile

Xfinity mobile will not release your phone even if you have paid the bill in full and paid the phone off. This company is a JOKE! I will never ever again use Xfinity again!

I have had Xfinity mobile service for 4 years and 5 months. Yesterday one of the phones on my line was having data issues, I called to have them resolved but the representative noticed that we were being overcharged tried to fix our plans and disabled my services. I received an email of the plan that I should have had for the past 4 years and noticed I have been overcharged $2,040. Phone still wasn't working, called customer service back at least 6 times, being hung up on each time. They had me cut the phones of, restart them, restart the service network and still no service. My sister went in the store and they tried to switch SIM cards and it still isn't working. Now this morning we're on with customer care and they are telling me my service has been suspended for nonpayment. My bill is due on the 14th/15th if every month, never had a late payment. This service is absolutely unacceptable. If you don't want hidden fees, being overcharged or to have to deal with bad customer service DO NOT switch to Xfinity... I am very big on customer service and taking accountability, every call has been irritating, no one understands why our service is off so they are trying to find reasons as to why! First it was the balance was past due, but there's a zero balance. Then, there was an ordered place that has the phones shut off, an order I didn't place. So if there is an order and they are making my info that available to have others ordering on my account there is still a problem. This is day 2 with not 1 but 3 phones not working... I'm furious!

Poor Customer Service

Lately when I have had to call customer service I have experience "NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, I DID NOT FEEL LIKE A CUSTOMER AND DID NOT FEEL TREATED AS A CUSTOMER". Today when I called I was given the run around, and never received the answer I was looking for. I then ask for the loyal department but was not treat as a loyal customer of more than 15 years. When I asked for a manager or supervisor and the lady on the phone ignored my request as a customer. She finally put me on hold and came back periodically to tell there was one available. After over 30 minutes on hold the call was disconnected, I don"t believer Xfinity knows what true customer services means.

I have been a customer for over 26 years. I wanted to upgrade or trade in the phone. They send me messages that I could trade in my phone but when I try to they say that I can't unless I pay off fully the phone that I'm currently on if that's the case, then added to my bill, don't say I can trade in the phone and go back on your work that is false advertisement they have the worst customer service they don't care about you even if you've been a customer for 26 years the phone that I do have is the worst phone you could ever have and also when you do wanna make a trade-in when they say you can make the trade-in not only do you have to pay for the phone completely off that you have they want to charge you extra charges for other things no considering I have been there so long, don't you think they would just add it to my bill let me upgrade my phone it's that simple and the other thing is, they will not let you do it online. You have to go to a store well what if you can't get to a store how does that work? I don't consider that helping your customers I consider that using your customers and abusing your customers. What kind of company sends false advertisement to you saying you can do one thing then when you contact them, they completely take it back the worst company you could ever go to I would not recommend Xfinity.

Said my landline would work in 3 days. Instead, they sent me a cell phone to replace landline. On phone for hours and even went to the Independence MO store and every time they say days. ITS BEEN OVER A MONTH. AND NO LANDLINE. SAYS I need to keep phone which I bever used and wNt to charge me $600. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE HELP! THIS INCOMPETENT COMPANY IS CORRUPT. NUMEROUS LIES AND STILL NO LANDLINE SERVICE AND BILLING ME.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS CORRUPT COMPANY.

It's ridiculous how an organization can provide services but not have people to talk to on the customer service line. I've waited for 40 minutes to make a payment! TO GIVE THEM MONEY and I still can't do it. THEY put me on hold for this long so I will hang up...I know that's what they do and WHY? Of course it says go to the website...of course it says their a link sent to your #. WELL, my mother is 84! Doesn't have internet, doesn't have a cell but she does have a landline...so where the F will this link go? A LANDLINE...A LAND LINE YOU PROVIDE FOR HER. So since I don't want to know anything about her account, since I have her bill in my hand, know her last 4 of her SSN# it should be easy just to make a payment...BUT NO! YOU IDIOTS MAKE EVERYTHING COMPLICATED!
