I purchased some expensive gym equipment for my commercial gym. The equipment looked okay in the photos they sent me, but when I received the equipment there were many problems for example.
1). The main feature of this machine is that the weights can move, forwards and backwards to increase or reduce the load, it did not work with over 10 kg of weight. Which is completely useless for a commercial gym.
2). The preloading foot lever position was all wrong it was far too close to the body making it almost completely useless.
3). The overall size of the machine was too small, it could only be used by very small people again not suitable for a commercial gym.
4). The steel frame of the machine is very badly rusted on the inside, and it looks like they have just powder coated over the rust on the outside. It was the same for all of the parts that needed to be attached. I will attach a few photos to show this.
During the process of building the machine I asked for photos and videos, it was very difficult to get them. And when I did get them, they were not what I asked for I had to push them very hard to get a demonstration video and it was only tested with a 5kg plate. Unfortunately, I did not realize that it may not work with larger plates. Once the machine arrived at my gym and we tested it we realized it would not work with anything over about 10 kg. This machine should easily be able to work with 100 kg plus.
Once I realized the problem, I asked them to send some replacement parts because the steel bars were very badly scratched and the bushings they were using were very cheap. Eventually they did send replacement parts, but they were badly rusted even worse than the originals. I will attach a photo.
The end result was they only offered to refund my shipping cost about $300 but we're not prepared to do any kind of refund on the $1200 I paid for the machine. After further communication with them they offered a refund on the machine if I returned it in its original condition. Which they knew was impossible because I told them that I would have to make some modifications to get the machine to work. As they had earlier stated they were not prepared to offer a refund on the machine. Even if I did send the machine back, I would've still had to pay the $600 shipping there and back myself.
Incredibly bad service they only care about money and do not want to do anything that will incur costs on their side even though they acknowledge many problems with the quality of the equipment. The final result is I have given up trying to negotiate with them and I'm just prepared to lose all the money I have spent. I would like to warn any potential customers for this factory and seller, of my experience.
