How to get refunds for travel (on Yapta!) - You can plan trips through Yapta, but even better, you can get refunds for trips where you already bought a ticket. You simply enter the info and the price you paid, and then if the fare drops further, Yapta notifies you and you get a straight up refund for the difference. It's great! I book through Kayak to find the best airline (you could use http :// /www.farecast. Com too I guess to check out their future projected fares off those airlines that look promising) and then enter the info from there and start saving.
As a traveler, it is difficult enough to deal with an unplanned travel issue. What made matter worst for my case was my inability to reach Yapta for support neither via phone or via email. Additionally, Yapta did not provide a reservation number that the rental car can use to look up my reservation. I am deeply disappointed at the service and the support. I would like to caution others should you choose to use Yapta, please consider the poor service that you may experience.

I was thrilled when I heard about Yapta.com, a site which tracks exact flights for you and allows you know when the price goes up or down. If you've previously purchased your ticket, it can assist you get refunds when the ticket price drops. So I have given up using them because it's great for people who are extremely exacting in which flight they are flying and they don't care about the budget.

The simple concept of tracking prices of flights and trips daily is wonderful. Prices change pretty much every week and it is a pain to constantly keep checking but I have been doing just that. I prefer this methodt over the buy it cheap on hotwire or priceline idea. I landed a sweet deal to hawaii from this site.
I think yapta is better than priceline, expedia and all of the rest because it tracks when prices go down. Right now prices are going down by the minute so when you book a trip you are getting ripped off. On yapta if the price goes down you can rebook and get a cheaper rate. Good deal.
Yapta is an average travel related site. One of my uncles planned his business trip with this. They provided good service, the only thing I like with this site is they are tracking price, you can see the updating daily. You can rebook in this site according the price rate. Before choosing this service it is better to go through with the review sites. If you are 100% satisfied then choose them for your travel.
Once I use this service for making my trip successful. But they are not giving a best and enough trip suggestion. They are only keeping the details of traveling and expense of trip. But we require a best guide for a trip that help us a tension free trip along with friends or family.
I don't trust Yapta's reviews. Yapta allows people to post untruthful reviews without even verifying for accuracy or truthfulness. Not only does Yapta allow people to falsify their experiences, most of these reviewers have never even stepped into the establishments they gave a negative review. Usually, these reviews are posted from disgruntled employees or the establishments competition. DON'T TRUST YAPTA!
Hello and thank you for your note, t S. In reviewing the few posts on this page regarding our company, Yapta, I don't see anything that appears to be definitively verifiable, or blatantly false. Yapta is a very simple, straightforward system that monitors your ticketed airfares for favorable price fluctuations. When a ticketed fare drops, Yapta will notify the customer with the specifics of that decrease, and instructions to contact the airline in order to take advantage of the savings.
I really loved Yapta. They would track flights for you and let you know when the price went down (whether you'd purchased the flight or not). However, the last 6 mos. Or so, I have not been happy with them. They missed price drops (when I've checked, the price was lower than when they checked) AND they have notified me of price drops and when I immediately check with the airlines, the price has NOT gone down. And then on their site, for a ticket I've purchased, I cannot get it to recheck the price (edit does not work to do so), so it continually shows the price has gone down (and thus I am eligible for a travel voucher), when this is not the case. Also, they are not keeping up with changes in the airlines' policies (e.g., Alaska airlines, on Sept 1,2018, changed their policy so that they no longer issue travel vouchers for nonrefundable fares. However, Yapta still says I am eligible for one). I've attached a photo from today that indicates a price drop of $170 and thus eligibility for a travel voucher, but it isn't available (and no way to change it on the site). I've tried contacting them via their web site several times, and have heard no word back.
Yapta used to be good price tracking tool several years ago. I had success getting automatic price drop alerts by email for flights I was tracking and managed to snag flights to Europe at half price when I got my alert.
However now I have entered several flights to track in My Trips section of the website and the price check feature has been stuck trying to display the price for several weeks.
Then the server to My Trips was down for another week.
When server and current price display finally came up the current price for each of the 3 trips I was tracking never changed until I manuall clicked check price.
So there is no automatic checking of prices by Yapta therefore no alert can be sent.
I complained about this politely and asked for assistance or clarification through the email contact information on Yapta website.
I asked 4 times in 4 e mails over a 4 day period.
No response.
I see the company writes responses to negative reviews.
Maybe I can get response this way.
I really want Yapta to work.
But if I have to manually check the flight prices 3 4 times a day.
What good is it.
Everyone says they send automatic price drop alerts. Not true I have seen the price drop, go back up, and drop again 2,3 times while checking on Kayak and the price on Yapta stays at say "last price check" 3 days ago.
I had one of the worse experiences ever with them and would suggest to everyone never to use them. I am a travel agent from South Africa and have been in the industry for 10 years and went to India for business, charity and leisure. Don't ever use them. They are a money making scheme and that's it. Their customer service and complaint centre is useless. As a tourist and traveller to India if a travel agent can't work out how to use this site to it's benefit then i don't know. We booked a train trip for four and once they took payment we were told it was on waitlist for a train the next day with over 30 people in the waiting list. We were then charged cancellation fees? For a trip that couldnt be confirmed and we were never advised prior to paying that it was on waitlist. We also booked a bus through them which after searching for this station for 2 hrs found the bus that was an hour late and was not safe for any human to get on. It was barely upright so smashed up and banged up you'd swear it would never get to it's destination 5hrs away. The driver was falling asleep at the wheel and the whole thing was just completely scary. We could not get on this and when we complained about the level of transport were refused a refund and then strung along with countless emails. Rather find a travel agent and go and speak to them personally as that worked out perfectly for us alternatively chat to people that know the trains and buses that can assist you with booking online directly with them NOT make my trip
You have clearly confused us with another company. We are not a travel agency nor do we sell anything to the general public. Our airfare monitoring service is free to consumers, however it doesn't even appear as though you've used our service. I recommend you approach negative reviews with a bit more due diligence and accuracy that is reflected above.
You might pay more for the tickets but the after service is much better than other sites
Thank you for your review. We're happy that you benefited from our post-ticketing price tracking. Just a note of clarification though. We are not a travel agency and we do not sell airline tickets. We do link you to a variety of agencies from which you may buy your ticket though so it can be confusing. Yapta simply monitors your purchased airfare for drops in price, and alerts you when a decrease happens.
Easy to navigate website, find what I wanted and place order.
Thank you for the review, but you have clearly not used our services as there is nothing to order from our website.
Looking for great and cheap deals. Be sure to drop by this site.

Thank you, Sir, for your review of Yapta.com. It appears there may be some confusion as to what Yapta does for consumers. We are not a travel booking or planning site, nor are we a travel agency. We simply provide a free service that allows you to have your already purchased airline tickets tracked for reductions in airfare. Please feel free to provide us with feedback of that particular service.
