I'm surprised to see bad reviews about zavvi. I have ordered games many times and always received them within a few days, never had any problem. I live close to england where I think this company is founded. The games are about 25%-50% cheaper than in my country (netherlands), even the brand new ones.
These guys must make most of their money on the delivery fees because the delivery takes twice as long as they estimate yet they charge like they've hired a private jet to hand it to you
Horrendous customer service. My order failed to arrive. I tried to cancel it as soon as I ordered because I read reviews stating they were unreliable. They told me that I had to wait to receive the product, then return it. I've been waiting for 2 weeks now. Customer service keep saying "we can only refund you once you receive the product and send it back to us". I am now contacting my credit card provider to try and get the money back

I ordered Lego that was out of stock and selling at a premium by collectors. Zavvi was selling it for $50 less than Legos price. I did my research and saw the terrible reviews, but most people just complained it was slow so I knew what to expect an paid extra for tracked shipping. Item arrived 3 weeks after estimated delivery, but it arrived. It was genuine Lego that should have sold for a premium and I got it at a discount.

Zavvi are a business which take your cash, pretend to ship (even making bogus Royal Mail tracking numbers) and then say the item is not in stock. If you push them eventually they'll offer a partial refund which you will chase for weeks.
They are actually the goddamn Grinch. My 5 year old now has no presents from Santa. Cheers Zavvi for destroying a little boys Christmas

LEGO has been pushing back the date of the Harry Potter Legos. During this time of the virus and the pandemic, I had been looking forward to these new sets. I was devastated when I found out they wouldn't be coming out on Aug 1. So I started looking around. The usual apps like eBay and Mercari has astronomical prices. Then I came across this site. "Dispatched mostly within 24 hours" " 3-4 day shipping" The LEGO i wanted the most was on sale with free 9.99 shipping. It's the Astronomy Tower. Then I thought I'd order another one. I talked to live chat who told me that since these come from the UK to give them a full 30 days. I was very very unhappy. So I wrote them getting standard responses. Then a miracle happened. I got it today 8/6 after purchasing on 8/2. Blown away after reading the reviews on here. The box has some minor problems but I'm ok with that. I'm just so happy to have it!
Made orders three weeks ago. Made four means of contact to find out about the order. Three weeks later, the order has finally shipped. They contact me stating they don't have a product anymore even though it was stated as shipped. The company lacks communication and can not give you best information on products you order..
I ordered 7 things.
One arrived in an okay timeframe. Five more shipped later, but never arrived. The seventh thing wasn't in stock and never shipped, but they sent multiple emails saying they'd ship it eventually.
Zavvi responded quickly to customer service inquiries, so I'll give them that. They re-shipped the 5 missing items, except they were shipped without any padding in the box whatsoever. Being that they had some weight to them, 2 were destroyed. One was the wrong item entirely. So, out of 7 things ordered, only 4 arrived correctly and intact.
I am awaiting a refund on the three missing items. It's been a frustrating and disappointing experience I would not want to attempt again. I suggest that everyone else stay away also; even if your items do ship, they take no care in packaging them, so they'll be wrecked by the time they get to you.

I ordered a drawstring bag at no point did it suggest the item is either low in stock, out of stock or waiting for more stock before purchasing. It was for a present and I was diligently waiting for an email to confirm dispatch. They have charged me for the item quickly so I assumed nothing was wrong. I got worried though and checked to find the item was cancelled without any explanation via email or anything. Very Poor customer communication. I have now got to quickly find a plan b elsewhere and request a refund from Zavvi which I heard is truly very hard. If I don't get my refund, watchdog is where I'll go.
Pre ordered 'mario maker' for my autistic son in June with a release date of 11th sept, today nothing turned up so I contacted Zavvi to be told it had not even been posted yet! And to top this they refused to refund me and I was told that it could take a further 5 working days to arrive! What is the point pre ordering? I now have to wait with a very disappointed autistic son who can't comprehend why his game hasn't arrived.
Don't use Zavvi. They are terrible. My order was days late - sent via Evri - but more importantly was absolutely trashed. Looked like someone had sat on it. Back and forth with the messaging system takes ages. Of course they don't let you phone them. And then they charged me £3 to return it! I hope I get a refund for the £150 Lego set but watch this space.
I will never use them again. They sell stuff that their customers are passionate about, but Zavvi couldn't care less. The products are just commodities to them, and customers are treated as fools. Avoid. Please!
I ordered an in-stock product in November 2023 as a Christmas present, with plenty of time for it to be delivered regardless of the UK postal strikes. It has now been three weeks since I placed my order and it has yet to be dispatched. Their customer service team really couldn't care less. They all provide the same scripted response without being of any help. I may as well speak to a brick wall.
I ordered a Xmas jumper which stated it would be delivered in 3-4 days. After 4 days I had an email to say it was delayed so I emailed to say I needed to cancel & would like a full refund. After several emails & only receiving generic email replies I am still awaiting a refund. I've tried to find a phone number to contact them but that seems another impossibility!
I will NEVER recommend this company or order from them again.
Horrendous!
I was excited when I first purchased from this company cause I got 2 4k movie sets for almost $70 less than anywhere else. Was definitely too good to be true. I ordered these over a month ago and they were supposed to get delivered the latest dec. 16, it is now dec. 23 and still no package, no tracking, and even after contacting multiple times no help. Don't order from these guys, they are not reliable and don't even have a phone number to contact, they do have a live chat but I have never once seen it active.
I ordered an item which stated free next day delivery. When the order was processed it gave an estimated dispatch date in 3 days time. Since I found the product elsewhere I submitted a cancellation request about 10 minutes after placing the order. About 4 hours later I received an email stating the order could not be cancelled as it has been processed. The estimated delivery is still in 3 days time.
So why if the order hasn't been dispatched am I unable to cancel? No telephone contact, live chat is permanently off and emails aren't responded to.
I'll post a fair review if and when this gets resolved but from reading other posts on here, I don't hold much hope.

The worst online store I have ever used said my product was in stock at the time of ordering after waiting a month they canceled my order and then another 4 months on they have taken the money out of my account with no pre warning and shipped the product after they said it was cancelled and now they're making me pay for postage to ship it back even though I no longer wanted this product because I managed to get it from a decent company with 5 days! It's been a nightmare of two weeks trying to get a straight answer out of anyone and still no further forward!
Ordered a pretty order early Nov for release date Nov 11th never arrived. I could have brought elsewhere when in stock. I keep sending messages to zavvi to find out when it's coming and they just lie to $#*! you up! Still no order so missed my sons birthday and christmas! It's a joke! There customer service are terrible!
1. Show item at Black Friday price.
2. Take order at Black Friday price.
3. Fail to adequately stock item.
4. Arbitrarily cancel order citing BS about payment issues, despite payment clearly being ready for collection in PayPal queue.
5. Ensure cancellation occurs after all the Black Friday offers have been closed for several days, preventing repurchase.
6. Refuse to answer queries for several days.
Will not use these clowns again.
Do not do business with Zavvi. They have the worst customer service, often orders arrive wrong or damaged and they don't want to know. They recently did an offer where if you subscribed to their "zbox" monthly service you could receive two past mystery boxes for free. What I received were two identical boxes with all the same items in them and some were damaged. Customer services refused to respond at all. I've had other problems in the past with this dodgy little company and I would strongly recommend everyone avoids them.
Sent the wrong item and I am having an horrendous time trying to get them to send the original item to me.
They only offer a messaging service for dealing with issues and they pick and choose when they respond to you and use pre populated messages and then ask you to provide your details numerous times when they already have it.

Ordered an expensive Lego item. Completely forgot about it until some time later when I realised that it had never arrived. I checked my order confirmation and the tracking, showing that Royal Mail had failed to deliver and returned the item to Zavvi.
I asked Zavvi to resend the item (they still had it in stock) or refund me. They refused to do either stating that because it was beyond their 40-day period I was not eligible.
So, basically, they failed to deliver an expensive item. Failed to notify me that the delivery had failed. Then when I realised and chased it up, they refused to refund or re-send because of some 40-day clause.
This falls under my definition of theft. Awful.
I cannot recommend you avoid Zavvi enough.

I ordered three DVDs from this sight on 3-03-2017. When they arrived they looked great so i wrapped them up for my 8 yr. Old grandson. When he opened them up for his birthday, today, he tried to play them and they would not play because they were not coded for the United States. My grandson was crushed. Will never associate wth this site again and i will be reporting them wherever necessary!
I am very disappointed with this company. Had I seen these reviews prior to my order I would never have dealt with them. I didn't even realize I was purchasing from outside the US. cannot view DVD " not able to view outside of region", they would not accept return or give me a solution. Not my world anymore. I guess they will need to do whatever they can now since the UK will be screwed for a while Brexit
They do not make it clear that their dvds do not play in the U.S. due to region coding. They only list the region in product details but this does not do any good if you don't even know what region coding is! They only sell region 2 dvds which is buried on some information page I read after learning my brother's christmas present wouldn't play for him. I also can't return it since it's out of the packaging. Not having a disclaimer shows that they don't care if they sell unusable dvds to people, they just want to take people's money. Very deceitful.
Zavvi will not give you the discount on the item you preorder even if it has not been delivered to their warehouse yet. Other dealers with similar items do this as not only a courtesy but to be competitive. The customer support would not cancel my item either even tho they had not received the item yet in their warehouses. I use to love buying from them but the lack of customer satisfaction and the price scalping that they tack on is ridiculous compared to their competitors. They have lost my loyalty and support.

Watch you items you preorder. The day you see them drop in price by $20 or more log in and cancel the item. Then preorder the item with the reduced price. Zavvi will not give you item at this cost even tho they have not charged you yet or actually received the item from their suppliers.
I placed an order on Nov 12 with Zavvi. I received a confirmation email letting me know they would notify me when my order was "dispatched". After hearing nothing I contacted them and they said my order was shipped and should be received between Nov 24-26. I finally got a tracking # that shows my order has been sitting in NJ for the last 4 days. It's now the 30th and customer service is useless.
