Zillow has a rating of 1.5 stars from 582 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Zillow most frequently mention real estate, customer service, and home value problems. Zillow ranks 1301st among Real Estate sites.
All of the real estate referrals for rentals, Vacation homes, and furnished apartments are extraordinarily expensive for what you get. In almost all cases tenants pay between six and 18% premium plus a 2 1/2% deduction for Credit card payments after the property owner pays $400 to advertise on their site. Zillow is the last of the free sites that operates just like a classified advertisement. So save yourself 10% on every vacation booking I'm getting contact with the owners directly via Zillow
We became Zillow Premier agents 5/29/24. Our first experience was a showing "no show," that was double booked with another Zillow agent, at the same property, 30 minutes prior. Agent support could not explain how this could happen. We agreed to paying $800/month for 4 leads who Zillow said would be verified pre-screened, pre-qualified leads that are ready to buy and are requesting to book appointments. This lead counted as one. With multiple calls, emails, and an escalation to supervisors, Zillow still has no explanation how this happened. They have now credited $250.00 for this one lead. In 2 months, we have had 2 bookings, both no shows. 2 calls were customers who already have agents, 2 calls were customers who requested to speak with listing agent only, 1 who pushed button to speak with for sale by owner, and none who were pre-qualified or ready to buy. In addition, we had multiple messages that we had missed a Zillow connection call, though our phones did not ring. We connected two phones to our account to ensure that we didn't miss calls and troubleshooted re-uploading app, resetting phone options, etc. and could still not answer calls once they did ring. Each of these went against our answer % rate and showed as missed or declined. When we received other calls they repeatedly failed to connect though we answered every time. We reported this multiple times through calls and emails and requested a refund. Agent support assured us that they were working to resolve and app was being updated and problem was being reported to their engineers then committed to follow up but would not return calls nor have ever provided compensation. Each failed lead was a missed opportunity to connect with a potential client which is impossible to put a price on. None of this was due to our phone system or lack of understanding how to answer. Our phone works perfectly for our other leads and clients every other day. Our phones are our business. We looked at a lot of reviews on other platforms and now realize how bad it is. We wanted to do this review to help any other agents thinking of become a premier agent. Don't waste your money it's a scam. Sent from Mail for Windows

Zille is posting untrue information about people's remaining mortgages. They're lie to the public and don't update information on their website. They are not reliable site.
You can't ask a question without getting inundated with calls. I was looking at a property and a question was not addressed. The only way to get information is "contact the agent" and it isn't even the listing agent. It is any vulture that wants to reach out to you. Even when I specifically said to contact me via email, I was fielding calls all morning at work. Why make this so hard?
I have just paid my last monthy extortion with Zillow. After 8 months, agents attending all recommended seminars and almost $20,000 here is the breakdown of my outcome.
1. Sales 0
2. Listings 0
3.Leads that have a great shot of buying and or selling 0
4.Leads that have a small amount of buying or selling 0
It's too late for me save yourself a lot of time and money run from Zillow.
I got scam of $342,941 by an agent whom I found on Zillow after I made payment I didn't get a response from him I was able to get my money back with the help of Reguls.online they did all they can for me to get my money back all thanks to them you can contact them if you're victim of scam
Tip for consumers:

I usually love Zillow for shopping new properties and deals however upon trying to review an unscrupulous realtor I found that they are shielding Realtors using their premium service from some negative reviews. I've submitted eight different times honest and will tempered review of one specific realtor and every time there's a new reason they won't accept it. I'm just putting this out there be wary, they are known in some of the real estate forums to do this.
It takes more than anonymous algorithm to evaluate a home's value. There is the old location times 3, quality of construction, curb appeal. When fluctuations of my home's, quite unrealistically, value drops by almost 20%, according to Zillow, in basically a flat to growing market, over a couple of months, something is terribly wrong. Especially when Zillow changes their valuation graph to agree with their new estimate, not showing the higher evaluation as part of their presentation which appeared on earlier graphs. Original estimate was closer to reality in the first place. Almost all of the realtors whom I speak with think Zillow leaves a great deal to be desired regarding information when purchasing a house in S. W. Florida... Do your own due diligence and avoid being misinformed and possibly missing out.
Tip for consumers:
Do your own due diligence.
Zillow is a joke. And it's going down hill fast. Providing false information, not having phone support, not responding to emails. Straight trash. Overcharging realtors for BS leads. I hope you guys go bankrupt.
Tip for consumers:
Use realtor.com
So what does Zillow.com really do? Of over 12 calls to leasing agents for property posted for rent in the San Antonio area, only ONE agent emailed me back. I was talking with another friend who had exactly the same experience. We had a good laugh but are extremely frustrated. Being out of town makes it VERY difficult to find something suitable to rent. I can't recommend Zillow listings.
I'm an agent who has tried several times to contact "No" customer service! They don't respond and just ignore your requests but constantly want your money! How are they even still in business! Negative stars deserved!
Nightmare. Zillow states my home was sold last month for twice Zillow's market
Value (wrong too). This should have been a red flag! Home never for sale. Same owner-me for 30 years. Wrong # of units. Z says they use info from recorders office. If they mean my PIN# = yes. Actual recorded info = no (THANK GOD). Mountains of snail junk mail with another name on it... still trying to straighten out.

This firm-also own Trulia-if for brokers. My home had 2338 views and 68 saves and not a call via zillow. When you type in contact agent your email appears. I tried it no response and had both daughters try it and it is a scam-no action. We listed with a broker who said it is basically a platform for their forthcoming brokerage adventure. I would avoid it as all you get are calls from brokers wanting to list your home. I asked a question-no phone response for sellers only agents-it has been 3 days and nothing-"we will get back to you ASAP" counting 4 days now and the question was regarding failures in their system to notify me of potential buyers. Bad news place!
Tip for consumers:
It is free and worth as much-don`t expect any real help selling a home. It will ensure your phone never stops with brokers wanting to list your home.

I'm an apartment manager, and listed fake ads for my units. Listing lower prices than what we charge, and we had no openings, but they put that a couple were open. I have contacted them TEN TIMES in six days. They keep saying they have taken it down, just looked, and it's still up. Isn't great that they get ad money for making things up. Now if you don't mind, I have to answer a call from somebody who thought they found the perfect place. Thanks Zillow!
Think about it. Artificial Intelligence used to place valuation on your property. Then, would-be buyers look at the price and take it as gospel because, "I read it on the internet".
Zillow, Realtor.com, Trulia... and all the rest. They are more than happy to publish a number they won't stand behind. At the peril of a seller losing money because overzealous agents in a local real estate mafia use the hammer to favor buyer advantage of setting the price.
This truly is anti-trust violation. Price fixing. Given the "over the phone" conversations each website has with paying agents who advertise with the websites, is a clear breeding ground for dishonesty and deception.
Sellers are getting screwed, and people just walk away pissed off.
These people report inaccurate information and will do absolutely nothing to fix it.
US Government do something positive for a change start fining companies with numerous complaints against them or shut them down!
I as well as several other realtors have tried this lead generation program. Do not waste your money on these garbage leads. They work based on impressions so anyone that comes onto the website is what they consider a referral (bad names, bad numbers, pre mature buyers/seller and window shoppers). I do not even know how it is legal to sell these so called "referrals" and then sell the same "referral" to at least 25 other agents. You should be ashamed of yourself Zillow.
Zillow has had inaccurate information about my home on their website for almost a year. I have written to them on four (4) separate occasions to get it corrected. Every time they reply with the "there's nothing we can do" response.
I even sent screen shots showing how the search results don't even match the address entered, but the "Help" people again said, "Nothing we can do about it."
So the data they have is incorrect, unreliable, not factual, points to the wrong addresses, and they can't do a thing about it.
Recommend you use other resources.
No home values for most houses in Canton MA *******. They cannot fix this since June 2017 (now is October). There are only prices assessed in 2014! Emailed to Zillow - no answer. Horrible customer service - no phone connection.
Horrible customer service. I listed my rental on Zillow and started getting calls the same day. 48 hours later I had my rental secured with a new tenant! Great! So now I have been spending the last two weeks trying to remove the rental so people stop calling me. I have contacted Zillow corporate in Seattle three times and all you get is an answering machine telling you to leave a message and I'll call you back. They never called back. There is no Tab for landlords on their website! Oh we can a half later, I am giving up. The thing is, that this is going to reflect negatively on Zillow because when people don't get return phone calls for me, they will blame Zillow, not me.
Zillow is horrible, to say the least. They do not respond to emails or phone calls. There is absolutely No Customer Service, and if you happen to get any at all, they are simply terrible. They just don't care, bottom line! Their estimates for home pricing are way off! They don't take into consideration improvements, neighborhood, etc. They go solely off of sq footage, it's a joke!
The information I've seen on this site is way wrong! I've looked up multiple houses of people I know and pretty much 60% or more of the info was wrong. Even my own house which we are the first and only owners of claims to have been sold a few years after it was built. Don't waste your time with them you're better of getting information another way!
The customer service is a little iffy. There are many scams to watch out for. I find myself constantly reporting obviously fraudulent listings. The private listers are so much more professional than the realtors that list. The feature for renters to pay fees thru the app does help with the legitimacy of each rental.
Tip for consumers:
What out for scams like rentals that are too cheap to be true or people asking you to send them fees and deposits thru cash apps.

I have found most places I have rented the past few years from Zillow. Some were not what they seemed, others were decent.
Zillow is great to get basic information about most homes. However, the valuations can be a bit off, either up or down. People make the mistake of using it as their only source for comps when house hunting. Zillow does not replace a Realtor. However, it does give you a great starting point.
Zillow leaves a lot to be desired but it's a good place to start researching. The visuals alone do that.
I wish they would add a feature that allows searches by the number of levels a house has--one story; two stories (or more); unfinished basement; finished basement, etc.
The thing is, a LOT of us are getting older and only want to consider a one-story home. Falls are a concern, but even more than that is the day-to-day difficulty of climbing and going down stairs.
The leading real estate marketplace. Search millions of for-sale and rental listings, compare Zestimate? Home values and connect with local professionals.
