Lori, my writer, was extremely helpful and even though I have a background in writing, she was able to tailor my resume to target the exact types of positions I wanted to pursue, after having been out of the "job-hunting" game for nearly a decade.
I purchased and first writer was so unexperienced. I raised a request got another writer it was same. No interview nothing. Its been 90 days and sometimes they don't even respond. Asked for refund but no reply. Its scam guys don't pay!

I purchased a package for over $300 online and uploaded my resume. There was zero contact after that. No resume, no return call, no return email after my continuous outreach. I "chatted" with Vincent online before my purchase and he assured me a writer would be in contact right away. This is absolutely outrageous. This company stole my money.

ZipJob did a great job of cleaning up and focusing my resume. They helped me get organized and trim off the excess material I didn't need, and really gave me a nice resume. Most importantly, it really worked. I got multiple interview requests the first day I sent it out and one of them turned into a new job.

Overall I had a great experience! I have been a stay at home parent for 16 years, and working on reentering the job market. My biggest issue was getting my resume done correctly and to current standards. My writer did a fantastic job with very little to work with and I will be sending resumes out this weekend! This was an okay experience, it did have a quick turn around but my resume is cookie cutter. Although I expressed my intentions, we only made it halfway there. Also, there were quite a few typos in my material.
The writer I was given gave me a timeline and didn't meet it. The quality of writing was laughable. I sent the writer copies of the job postings I was interested in and none of that was reflected in my resume. All of my pertinent skills were relegated to a tiny paragraph. When I demanded a refund, it was denied... Twice. I was offered another writer but I have zero confidence this will turn out satisfactorily.

My experience with Zipjob was amazing. I had not updated my resume in over 7 years and was at a loss of where to start. Zipjob took my old, tired resume and made it simply wonderful. I've tried a few resume writing services. Usually, you send it in and don't hear anything until it arrives in your email a week later. Zipjob has a really good system for stying in touch with the writers!
Satisfied with both the resume and cover letter. Took a bit longer than I expected but overall happy with the service provided. I feel the resume is a step up from what I had so I hope this lands me more interviews... I need it!
Hired this company based on all the positive reviews. Well, they must be either paid, or old, or something is off. I had to ask the writer to revise the resume several times (to include correcting many typos that I pointed out repeatedly). I was finally fed up and accepted the resume. I've applied to no fewer than 20-25 positions since mid December through end January. 100% have been rejected. I went back to zipjob to request a rewrite and was told I have to wait 60 days from the day I accepted the resume for them to do one complimentary edit. Definitely not the service I thought I was paying for. If they don't get it right, I will be submitting a complaint with BBB and if necessary, disputing the charge.
I imagine there are other more qualified resume writing companies out there, maybe a bit pricier, but I've learned probably worth it. I'm a mid-level finance professional if that helps add context to my review.
