All 4 cameras went bad. DVR went bad. Hell the only good thing was the cables. They replaced 3 of the cameras and stole the 4th. Don't trust customer service, they are not able or willing to do their job. Case in point sent back DVR WITH bad camera, only got DVR back.
Take a photo of everything you send them. Oh and if you buy their junk you will be sending it back you can bet the farm on it. Also when they send you an email with the rma number they accidentally on purpose don't put on there what you are sending back.
I bought a Zmodo IP-camera, since my research showed that Zmodo was an ok brand and build quality. I did not want to buy the cheapest brands, in case of lacking security patches and other firmware updates.
I have been happy with the Zmodo camera, but since 2015 Zmodo has technical problems, which means that email alerts for motion detection are not working. Reason is that most email providers have updated their authentication methods to newer standards for security reasons and Zmodo are not willing to update the firmware with a fix - but rather instead force the customers to use their app for alerts.
This it not why I bought the camera and for me email alerts is an essential feature that was advertised and no longer is working.
Camera came with 2 years warranty, but I was told by service told that they only replace during warranty and therefore could not help me as other cameras also don't work with email alerts. Refund was not an option. So basically no help:(
Was happy about Zmodo before. Now I will never buy it again and advise you to find another brand.
By the way: Funlux brand is owned by Zmodo, so could be same issues with this brand.

Mobile notifications replaced email alerts. These alerts are very easy to setup in the app, no need to enter any server names or port numbers. You simply turn on the option in the app's settings menu. The alerts are sent directly to your phone, so you don't need to log into a email client to check them. You can schedule the alerts so you are only notified when you need to be. Also, you can review all of your alerts on your PC through the Zmodo web portal at user.zmodo.com.
