on 5/17/15The Samsung TV I was about to buy from Abe's was a CANDIAN model, only a 60 day warranty. I contacted Samsung to find out the difference, excerpt from live-chat:
1. The technical information and specifications of a TV vary from country to country. Also, the voltage and the signal broadcast system vary from place to place.
2. Samsung USA TV's model code ends with XZA, which indicates that it is a USA manufactured TV.
3. All Samsung TVs have a one year warranty for parts and labor from the date of purchase. The warranty will be covered only to USA TVs.
So glad I checked - make sure you double check those last few digits.
I just refuse to do business with any company like this! I found the same model TV I was looking for from Crutchfield for $75 more. That extra $75 is well worth the money in my opinion; no bait & switch, no high pressure sales. Crutchfield customer service is top notch, they want you to be 100% satisfied. If there is a problem, one simple call and they will take care of it.
They are just looking to get more money out of you. This is their scam - they advertise really low prices and then call you to tell you that if you just add $$$ they will send you the model you really want. If you say you want to move on with the model you ordered, they will then try to get more "insurance" money out of you. Don't give up, I got the product at the right price after writing some bad reviews on the web. Somebody really need to stop them...
