I had the same problem... items received didn't match picture... they told me they won't guarantee that what you get will look like the picture. Seriously?! I also wrote a negative review and they gave me partial credit. They asked me to write a positive review... even though they refused to refund the full amount. Would not take items back for a refund.
It's very sad to see that this company and the companies affiliated with it can get away with stealing everyone's hard earned money. My experience with dress lily has made me learn to look up and review all companies before I order from them. I only lost $25.00 after I ordered 2, shirts back in August 2015 and never received them, but they have scammed so many people of much more money. Because they are not a us company better business Bureau can't do anything. I try as much as I can to warn people before ordering from these companies, but unfortunately I can't get it to everyone. I have seen on the news now about beware of these companies.
Unfortunately once you place your order you are already screwed! Like you have found out the clothing isn't as advertised, probably doesn't fit, and is poorly made. On a $100.00 order I finally received a refund of $11.98. Everyone needs to keep reporting them to the international better business bureau, and Facebook I can't believe mark zuckerberg would allow his customers to keep being ripped of.!
I purchased a wig from Dress Lily and when I received it, it looked nothing like the picture. I was familiar with the picture because I purchased the same wig from an actual wig company online. The picture they posted was a Tony of Beverly wig called Aubrey. What I received was crap and looked nothing like the picture. It was a different color, it had a cowlick at the crown and it was really short in the back. They copy pictures from other companies and sell a completely different product. Thank God I used PayPal, they are investigating, and even said they had a lot of complaints about Dress Lily. BEWARE, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
Sending them a message through their site is tricky; especially if you're trying to send a picture with it because they have the file extension wrong on their end, so what's normal for us, a jpeg won't go through.
Write a really bad review and they may contact you. They contacted me right away after I posted my review on here.
And I too got products that didn't match what I right I was ordering. Very frustrating to say the least.
. Don't order from anything but popular retail stores. The rest are all coming from China. All they do is post a picture from a another site and try to make it themselves. Send them an email telling them you are going to report the site. You'll get at least a partial refund. I had to do that and it worked. And never order from those sites again.
I placed an order for a dress in the first week of December. It is now the second week of January and I still do not have the dress. We have gotten everything from 'it is stuck in customs' to 'call your post office'. They gave us a tracking number but the USPS shows they never got the package. It was supposedly sent out on Dec 12! THIS COMPANY IS NOT AN COMPANY THAT I WILL DEAL WITH AGAIN!
I am sorry but I was never able to reach anyone in their customer service office by phone. All I ever got was a recording telling me to fill out a request ticket and someone will get back to me. After writing a negative report about the company they agreed to refund half of my money and they did but I was never allowed to speak to anyone at the company which was to bad for I would have felt better just to get some of the anger out. I will never have any contact with this Rip Off Company
The product you (amazingly" received doesn't look like the item you anticipated purchasing based on your website because Dresslily utilizes stolen images from other companies as well as uses computer photoshop to make items they are selling appear better than they are. Legally, this is called False Advertising.
Dresslily has no interest in attempting to truly remedy your disappointment. They have taken your money and that is all they care about. However, this should not prevent you from contacting Pay Pal who allows Dresslily to use their service for financial transactions. At this point, Paypal has received THOUSANDS of complaints and had to remedy customer issues for Dresslily enough that they should no longer allow Dresslily to use their service. This is Paypal's decision and hopefully they will recognize it is a poor one. Until then, call paypal, explain the situation, file a formal complaint with Paypal against Dresslily, make sure in sending the items back that you keep proof of return & request Paypal - not dressily - return your money.
Dresslily actually does not return money/ All transactions go through Paypal. When Paypal returns your money - Paypal deducts the amount of money paid out to you in their payments to dressily for customer purchases.
I agree with everybody: They are a scam. I spent about $75 on stuff that did arrive, but DID NOT LOOK AT ALL LIKE WHAT THEY HAD SHOWN IN THEIR PICTURES. I got in touch, and they had the nerve, even after I sent the pictures (!) that showed the discrepancy, to simply say I ordered the wrong size. I could return the stuff, BY PAYING FOR SHIPPING COSTS BOTH WAYS (!), not for a refund, but for what they call "wallet credit". I gave up, chalked my $75 up to 'experience' (knowing fair well that this IS their scam--making the prcise so low that people rather give up than pursue things to the end). The upshot: DON'T BUY FROM THEM!
Everybody on this site has warned people the best we can. You know the answer to your question. You will not get a customer service response until you start the complaint through paypal... if you get one at all. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! The real question is... why don't people listen to all of us who said don't buy from this company! CAVEAT EMPTOR!
No phone #. Fill out "ticket" on their customer service on web site 3 times with photos x3. Kept emailing & texting. Finally used tracking # to get response. They thought package was lost. Also wrote bad review on Sitejabber & got email response Denied having "ticket". Gave them order#, email & mailing address Received response fro "Sala". ( don't think they understand English very well) Sent photos again Finally got response offering me a credit+ points or refund-takes"7-25 days". Told to keep the item.
So- write a bad review & they will respond. Took 3+ weeks for me.
I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN! After posting numerous negative complaints, they refunded me my "test run" purchase of 9 and change. Also hope you kept your order numbers, etc. You will need them in your e mails to the company. I can see where it's tempting, they do picture cute items, but from what I understand, you don't get item look or size requested. I'm so sorry you too succumbed to their false advertising. Check any and all reviews as possible.
I am sorry to hear that you had a typical Dresslily experience. I also received a couple of items that I did not order and the items that I did order were smelly, unwearable and a totally bad joke. As soon as I wrote a bad review, I got a response from Dresslily wanting to know why I was not pleased with my order... really? Don't count on any help or reimbursement from them. So sorry this happened to you. Consider it a hard lesson learned and do not order from Dresslily again. Tell everyone you know about your experience so they don't get scammed also.
