on 6/3/16I find that they are quite good for the price. I have bought 2 telecaster copies that I've used for mods because they give you the foundation for a quality player guitar for less than cost. You're going to get a guitar that sounds like a tele and has decent hardware and wood. They sound very good and are guitars that you can enjoy playing as you mod. 2 drawbacks are they are known to have sloppy footwork. I had 1 that came with a high 4th fret but the other was fine. I've heard others complain about them as well. The other drawback is they have pretty ugly headstocks and dont have rolled edges on the fretboard. Stick to the alder or ash solid body guitars and you'll be pleased. Then after the honeymoon is over and you start noticing defects, upgrade. Both of mine have new necks, guess where I bought the necks?
GFS guitars are the cheapest of the cheap. If you want to buy junk you're better off going to a pawn shop and saving their jacked up shipping charges. But it is a good place to buy very expensive fire wood.
