My husband and I decided after many years our pre-lit Christmas tree needed to be retired. We went tree shopping and found a great tree. It looks and feels like the real deal.
I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.
I chose whirlpool appliance package. The installers left a huge mess. They didn't get my signature saying I inspected every thing. The microwave was installed incorrectly and had to be reinstalled. They left in a hurry not giving me an opportunity to check things.
I began thinking I had received open box or returned items. Do to dings and scratches.
The oven has never worked properly causing an undercooked Thanksgiving meal.

Home Depot's anti fraud unit deactivated our $500 gift card. The stated reason is that $500 cards are unusual. We have worked with them for ten months, but they have yet to refund our money. We have provided copies of bank statements and cash register slips. We have followed all requirements, but nothing. If you value your money avoid Home Depot gift cards

We Bought a Samsung washer at Home Deport,on Aug. 13,2024. First load of laundry it stopped half way, called HD to return it, they said they would not take it back, Samsung had to take it back. Samsung said we repair it, but if you want to return it, you have to bring it to Home Depot. Home depot has a 48 hour return on Appliances, even though we had called on the same day when the machine was delivered, and the first load did not make it, that did not count for Home depot.
Now we have been waiting 4 days already on a call back from Samsung to find out when they will send a repair person, in the meantime we have a mountain of laundry laying around. Nice job, Home depot!

I paid cash for a tube of Gorilla Super Glue Gel. It cost about $6.00. After approximately 1 to 2 weeks I couldn't find the receipt. I returned the glue because it was dried up inside. I suspect it had been on the shelf for a long time. I asked for a store credit as I wanted to buy a different brand of glue. I was informed that without a receipt and because I paid cash they would not take it back. What a policy. My advice is to shop at LOWES OR ANY OTHER HARDWARE STORE.

Purchased Life Proof Vinyl Plank 22 ml and had it installed by Home Depot. After 2 months Floor started buckling in several areas. The installers never leveled floor or even brought a level along? Their Video on how to install LVP is a Crock! This floor scratches very easy. The installers were in & out. Damages on Fireplace Frame was bent. Also, No Transition Molding. Installers used shoe molding?
Contacted HD many times due to constant Sorries & Broken Promises.
Still not Resolved with a Case # or Repaired. HD Customer Service and Care is Terrible. They did not Stick to The Right To Cure. Now it's come to the point with The BBB. Save your Time & Money. The Product is Not What it Says. My Option don't have it installed by their Sub-Contractors. They All Are Very Unprofessional.

This review is regarding an individual who claims he is a manager at Home Depot Santa Fe, NM. Although there seems to be no proof that this fella even works there. It seems he lives in a world of delusion in which he thinks he is legitimately employed by the company but allegedly lives in his grandmothers basement. If you see Sergio tell him he is doing a great job. Don't reveal the nature of his delusion because he may suffer from another emotionsl "blow out" as it were.

As our refrigerator went out while on vacation we needed an item immediately. In the mean time we salvaged what we could to store in an ice chest. We were promised delivery within 3 days we received a call that we would not receive the refrigerator for 6 days. In the meantime we are living out of an ice chest. As we live in the Pacific northwest, we were told that we could not get delivery due to a hurricane. As we all know the PNW is known for our "hurricanes"...NOT. There is seriously something wrong if your supply chain for the pacific northwest is affected by a hurricane on the SOUTH EAST COAST. When asked if I could by the floor model we were refused. As I have a printed manifest from the store with a promise date and they are now in breach of contract. When asked if we could buy the floor model we were refused. We are currently living out of ice chests we were told "oh well you'll just have to wait". My husband & I have agreed to NEVER shop at home depot again. Customer service is NON EXISTANT. Basically told to suck it up and deal with it.

Bought a glacier bay HD*******W faucet last year installed it in a bathroom that is not used much. Went to use it and the pipe that delivers the water was rusted shut. Seems like they used steel pipe for a faucet. Called the glacier bay support and they made me go though a bunch of taking pictures. After an hour they said the book picture did not look like the faucet picture so they would not do anything for me. My advice is to be very cautious buying Glacier bay products. Not sure where it was made but must be a country who doesent care about quality.

HD makes a big deal as to how they care for the veteran with their 10% discount.
Nothing could be further from the truth!
NO discounts on lumber - electrical - tools. Their discount is a hollow joke.

Received a Ryobi hedge trimmer for a gift. Used 1 time and it stopped working. Took the item to Lebanon Homedepot to exchange or get credit for another hedge trimmer. The manager asked if I had the credit card used or a receipt. My answer is no because it was a gift. They had the same trimmer behind us and the items appearance was in beautiful condition. You could tell it had only been used once. The item is brand new evident from looking behind me there was a display of the same trimmers. The manager said she could not return the item because I had no proof of purchase. What! I don't want the money back I just want my defective trimmer replaced. She was argumentative and she wasn't going to exchange the item. I had to deal with the broken item myself. What if I had paid cash? Would that be the same reply and she said yes. In short Ryobi is their brand they sell, brand new item, no cash just a replacement and the manager says that's their policy in Lebanon Ohio. I called another store and they said it's the managers decision.

Crew2 is the contractor used by Home Depot and they caused alot of unnecessary stress throughout our project. We signed a contract for a simple cabinet refacing project. The project took 11 months to complete from the time the contract was signed. The installer came in with the attitude of cutting corners wherever possible and no planning on the layout of the panels. As a result, we ended up with some panels with busy wood grain patterns next to other panels with no pattern. There were 2 end panels where veneer was used instead of the panels that came from the vendor(this was confirmed twice of which once was by Crew2's measure tech) and Crew2 would not take responsibility but, instead, told us that we need to accept differences in wood grain. After several attempts where we were told the panels would be reordered, there was always an excuse a couple days later of why the panels couldn't be reordered. Finally, Home Depot Corporate became involved and when the panels were reordered, they came in the wrong stain color. At that time, we were told by the project manager that we had the choice of either a mismatch of veneer and wood or a mismatch of stain colors. When the installer came back to fix the issues of laying trim on top of base (which caused gaps), rough edges, screws sticking through which caused sharp areas, and base overhanging cabinets, another member of Crew2 came with him and, at that point it was finally determined that the panels would be reordered correctly. We had 7 members of Crew2, one member of the local Home Depot store, and the Home Depot Executive Escalations team involved to finish our project. This is completely unacceptable customer service. Crew2 has proven to be incompetent and unprofessional. In addition, Home Depot stands behind Crew2 instead of listening to the feedback from the customers.

I wrote a review about a month ago about how I was followed around home depot in Laurel Maryland, instead of following hardworking customers around your store, you need to check internally for your theft issues, on the news the other day, I saw that up the road in Elkridge Maryland there was a storage unit full of tools and cordless tools, there is no way a customer took that amount of equipment without being seen, which leads me to think that the problem is from the inside, when the truck makes its delivery half of your supplies are going into your employees vehicles, just like the card skimmers at the 7/11, no one just came in the store and put them there without being seen, its done on the inside, its common sense, I walk in the door and this guy is on my heels, he's probably the one that's stealing, to take the heat off of you why not blame someone else, and I see its working, while they were following me someone was robbing you blind, and the so-called security guard standing there with his hands in his pockets doing nothing, you have people working at your stores that come from other countries where they don't have anything, all they know is to steal, that's who you have working for you, I work hard for my money and I won't be giving it to home depot any longer, I also will be letting other black professionals know what's been going on so they won't waste their money in a place that don't respect them. I don't have this problem at Lowes, I would give 0 stars if I could!

Do not order anything from Home Depot. I ordered a 4 ton minisplit for 5500 bucks they keep changing the dates of delivery, lie to me when I call them. Do not call back like they say they will, and will still not tel me a possible delivery date or where the unit is. Buyer beware.

We needed a custom made (can't be bought in stores) butcher block for our new island. Ordered from Home Depot. 2 months later we reach out to them to find it as it was supposed to be delivered April 22. They apparently use a shipping company, which was never told to us…. And Home Depot lost the order after repeatedly telling us it was with the shipper. This is also the same problem a family member ran into. I'll be shopping at Lowe's from here on out.

Home Depot's delivery service is an absolute disaster. Not only did my order arrive late, but the delivery driver left it out in the pouring rain, resulting in damaged goods. Customer service was unhelpful and dismissive, refusing to take responsibility for the mishap. If you value your time and money, shop elsewhere.

I used Home Depot to put In my hurricane windows and doors. It took them over six months to put them in then when they finally got put in ins came and they never came back to finish and they never showed us how to lock our front door as it's a new security lock. They absolutely suck! Plus the lock keeps getting stuck so it doesn't work properly. I've called and called and they keep saying they'll send someone out. Wait for their call and nobody has come. It's been almost a month now..

After a month, many phone hours and 3 refrigerator deliveries and 4 visits regarding new dishwasher not working i am still without acceptable undamaged refrigerator and dishwasher just got to working with visit number 4. Contractors installed wrong initially and damaged area undersink. Never worked. Aent a second crew that stated i needed new dishwasher, 3 rd crew stated installed wrong and they could not touch, 4 th crew finanlly (i think have it running) much time on phone, missing work and my time used. No apologies from Home Depot who is getting the money i spent 5000.00 just finger pointing at the contractors that deliver and install ( i would guess HD hired the company) and also blaming Fridgidaire ( also a brand that HD sold to me) Terrible company. Will never buy from them again. Would love to just not pay for it and point a finger elsewhere but guess it does not work that way! AVOID ANYTHING FROM HOME DEPOT - DO NOT DO BUSINESS.!

Hired Home Depot to install 4 doors. Their contract said 30 days to complete the job. Their 1st installer quit because the job was "too much" work. Second installer, Kmax was not much better. Wrong doors were ordered. NO ONE at Home Depot would respond. Just got passed from person to person. 150 calls, letters to corporate, and no response. 6 months and we had to hire another contractor and get an extension on the permits. The MANAGER, Ryan Smith, *******858, threatened to void the warranty if we didnt sign off that we were happy with the job. It was the worst job, doors still don't close right, we refused to sign off. So HOME DEPOT FORGED MY SIGNATURE. HEADING TO ARBITRATION.

DO NOT USE THE HOME DEPOT TO INSTALL ANYTHING. THEY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.

I attempted to order a rather expensive large pot for syruping. I placed the order early on a Friday afternoon. Based on the order, I was expecting to receive the item on Monday. On Monday I received notification that the item was on backorder. After a week, it was still on backorder so I attempted to cancel the order. There was no way to do this online and 2 attempts to call were unsuccessful so I had to wait for 6 weeks until it auto canceled. Here are the major issues:
1. It's really inexcusable that there site is listing an item as available if it's not. Assuming that maybe it was available when I ordered, there is no excuse to ignore my order for 3 days and let it go on backorder.
2. It's also inexcusable that this company held my money hostage for 6 weeks.
I will never order from Home Depot again nor will I visit their stores. I will choose to pay more at Ace Hardware or use Amazon.

Are you ordering a large, heavy item like a vanity? They will drop it off at your home without any notice, or delivery arrangements. You are expected to move it into your home yourself, which would be possible if you knew it was coming and got extra help. This lack of a phone call from Home Depot to arrange delivery will now cost me $600 to have movers pick it up and deliver it to my 5th floor condo. The store manager was kind enough to give me a $200 credit, not knowing that my cost will be $600. I would not recommend purchasing anything heavy, online from Home Depot.

This is my second review of the Home Depot Seeds program. Why two? In my opinion, folks need to be warned about this program. I received an invitation to participate in a program where Home Depot would send me products to use and then write a review on. In return, I could keep the product. Normally, I would not look twice at such a program, but given the excellent reputation of Home Depot, I decided to give it a try. Bad decision! Some two weeks after selecting the product I would review, brown rubber mulch, the product had not arrived, but emails from the Home Depot seeds program filled my inbox, reminding me that I owed them a review. I replied several times, telling them that the product had never arrived. Finally, it did show up, and I tested it and wrote my review with before and after photos. The review went live the next day. BUT I kept getting emails saying my review was due. And they continued; this morning, I got another one warning me that I was about to lose my affiliation with the Seeds program if the review was not written. Really, Home Depot? So, unless you are ready for this type of experience, my advice is to delete their offer as soon as you see it. These seeds produce nothing but frustration.

Just a heads-up if you live in an isolated location w/little or no competition. Found that the local store could block an item from from being ordered online, to be delivered directly to your home or to be picked up at the store itself. Not sure of the exact reason, but think its due to store working w/contractors and only bringing that product in for them. If item not barred from your state & can be carried at other stores, the way around it is to change your store location on the online site, even using store location in a dif state and see if you can now place the online order to be shipped directly to your home. Did this twice on a flooring product, got the orders through and shipping was $5 per case, w/each case weighing 45 lbs.

I had an issue with my vinyl floor. The planks were popping up due to improper insulation. I was told by the manager this was due to my wife cleaning the floor. Totally untrue we were told if you clean your floor the warranty is void. Are you serious my wife asked and the manager's response was yes. You will have to live with your floor which was installed 3 months prior for seven thousand dollars. I decided to call the corporate headquarters and spoke to a gentleman who said he will conduct an investigation on my problem with my floor. We had three different people come out to examine our floor. The conclusion was an improper installation. My floors were replaced by guys that actually took out the time to do the job properly. I want to thank Home Depot corporate office for helping me rectify my situation. Thank you for caring about your customers needs.

Granite counter installation. Not knowing after installation what to look for, was told to sign here and poof, they're gone. Left with a dirty sticky counter with defects. After a month an inspector reviewed the condition and said he will have someone come out to fix what should had been repaired before installed. A month later no word whatsoever. Called and Home Depot said I should had bought the $400.00 extra insurance (once they leave the house you have nothing, no immediate warranty or anything) and they "will not" come to fix what should had been shop-repaired prior to installation. It seems Home Depot caters to "Blow and Go," sub-contractors and HD does not check for quality control. I would not recommend any service HD would recommend.
Tip for consumers:
HD needs to review the "QC" of work done by subs, their craftmanship puts HD in distaste when subs perform poorly and not wanting to repeat using HD again for anything.
