You don't need a fancy smart TV or an App. Hook up your computer or laptop to your TV with an HDMI cable. Set your TV INPUT to HDMI (go to your tv menu, find the input, and select HDMI 1 or 2... whichever port your cable is plugged into). Turn on your computer, log into internet, go to www.hulu.com, sign in, and you're in business. Cool tip: get a wireless keyboard and mouse and you're surfing the web from comfort of your couch. I watch Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, shop online, go on Facebook and email... all from my couch on the big screen :)

First you'll have to download the HULU app on your computer, laptop or tablet. You can "cast the show" from a computer, laptop and certain tablets. I use my Windows 10 Phone with no problems. OR:

You'll need a "media streaming device", for example, a Roku, Apple TV or Amazon Fire Stick, or have a "Smart TV". You'll also need a good, FAST internet WiFi connection or have your router close enough to your TV for a wired connection via Ethernet. You then pick from a genre of shows that are available.

I have HULU. I pay $11.99 a month. No Ads on 98% of the stuff I watch...
They do have a fast ad at the start of Grays.
I get it through my Blu-Ray player. Works just fine... And the CC Closed Caption comes in great...
My Netflix comes in through t also...

Some smart TVs have an app for Hulu. You'll need a either a TV with Wi-Fi connectivity or an Ethernet port for internet. If you don't have a Smart TV, you can get a Roku or something else similar to that. Any gaming console has access to Hulu and other video services, xbox 360 or X1, ps3+ps4 or Wii U. Don't get the Wii if you want HD, it only streams in SD. Wii U is good for HD though. If you have a lap top or some other type of PC, depending on what type of video out they have and which video inputs your TV has you can usually find an adapter that works to send a signal from your computer to your TV or if they have matching inputs a simple cable of that type will work. Often times you'll end up with a picture that doesn't quite fit your TV, but there is ordinarily an option on your TVs settings that will allow you to change the picture mode to fit the image correctly. No matter what you do you're gonna need internet. If Ethernet is good enough, then you really only need a Modem, but a wireless router is the way to go.
