I was nervous to buy from this website because i had seen some of these reviews and thought i might be ripped off.
But! I am so happy with my laptop! I Bought an Ex-demo toshiba satellite, worked perfectly when i opened it up, only had minor scratches on the lid.
I really recommend the ex-demo laptops from my experience, and Kelly is amazing at sorting out any issues or questions you might have!
I cant believe i got such a good laptop for so cheap! :D

"Laptop" website carried numerous & various options at below retail store prices. Communications on specs and delivery were prompt. My strong suspicions of online "store" purchasing were unfounded. Don was helpful and offered options and after sales instructions when requested. Scratches on cover of refurbished machine were openly advised. Wish they provided a service of purchase and installing of MS Office.
I ordered a laptop the Easter weekend gone (2020), believing that it would be sent within the 2 days as advertised and that it was new as it didn't state refurbished on their site. They also stated that any issues they'd contact you, after over a week of not hearing I contacted them to be told they were waiting on parts and it would be a little longer. Several weeks later I received confirmation that the order was being dispatched. When I received it a couple of days later the condition of the machine was questionable and disappointing and the processor I requested had been substituted with another brand without any consultation with me. I returned it immediately after contacting the company and telling them my disappointment and anger. Today I received a call from the company and the person I spoke to called me a moron and hung up on me, this is unprofessional customer service and not a company that I recommend to anyone.
I've had so many issues with my laptop and the company are not helpful. They will just do whatever they want without considering you. I will never shop online for a laptop again... Pay extra and get it in a store...
I'm 84 and I only used my laptop for emails however I was running Win 7 and I was informed I need to buy a new laptop. I spent many hours on the phone to Stan and found him to be very patient and helpful.
I received my laptop yesterday from laptop and am pleased to report it was installed with Win 10 saving me $1500. Absolute gentleman at this establishment.

When buying online there is always a sense of trepidation. A true indication of a business is how they respond to any problems and will they stand behind the product? I bought an MSI laptop last week. It arrived very quickly, on the second day. The packaging is fantastic, so much so that I'm keeping it! The plastic tube protector Fits my wheeled case perfectly. As this is a 17" it will be great for travel- so thank you for approaching packaging so wisely. With any purchase of a new computer, I expect some software work to be done. Kelly is a treasure, she has proved without question her commitment to getting it all sorted out. The management has shown they support her in her role and are prepared to stand by the product. Kelly and the company, has certainly earned the 5 stars.

I recently bought a demo laptop through Laptop.com.au and it worked fine until Windows did one of it's famous automatic updates on me, leaving me with a computer that would not boot (even from a boot disc). I went online to all the usual forums and whilst a lot of people had experienced the exact same problem as myself, none of their fixes would work on my computer.
So I contacted Laptop.com.au, and whilst the problem was a software one and my warranty did not cover software issues, they were extremely helpful and led me patiently through to restoring my machine. I can't speak highly enough about how helpful they were.

There was an issue when it arrived. However, they paid for it to go back, then sent a replacement. In fact at one stage we had two! The courier let them down, but they were all over it and got it got it sorted. They were good.
Just wish they had a phone number as when you are waiting for an email, you do get a bit worried.

Laptop.com.au is a great business. They have quality product at a good price.
Their best asset though would be their staff- Kelly is a star-highly competent at combining customer service into the logistical process.
My order was delivered promptly and also correctly in great condition too.
As a music producer buying a lot of gear lately to build a portable studio I've been able to directly compare how many companies operate, Kelly and the laptop. com.au team are the standouts in Australia.

Ordered a laptop and provided the CC of my Boss. They want to check if that CC is not stolen by deposing less than 50 cents to it. The company's finance department has enough things to do than looking for your tiny amount of deposit. You can still find that my registration account is a business email and still think that I might ordered it using a stolen CC? Are you guys really that stupid?

I was looking for a modestly priced laptop to be used for a 3d modelling program. I'm by no means a computer expert so I had a number of questions and Kelly was extremely helpful. We decided on a computer and it had a few issues prior to being sent and Kelly immediately offered a full refund or a suitable replacement. We found a great replacement and organised for it to be sent the same day.
Providing I don't have too many dramas with the computer in the future, I'd definitely recommend considering these guys if you don't want to spend huge amounts of cash on a brand new laptop.

Purchased a laptop from this company. The initial computer we ordered after waiting sometime we were informed they could not now supply but sent us a similar one. On receiving the laptop the keyboard had the letter N key blank with no letter printed on it. On contacting the company they replied they do not normally replace keys. Just recently a low battery alert comes on every time the laptop is fired up. We have only had the laptop 9 months. No the company does not cover "consumables". So never again will we deal with this company and will share the negative review far and wide.
Purchased a laptop online. Processed payment. But not reponding to communication or enquiries. We are still waiting. Have not seen the laptop. I am about to take them to Consumer court. Be very careful what you buy here.
I can only suggest avoiding this company at all costs. I ordered one laptop to have a bloke ring me and tell me that they didn't have any and had to send me a different one. I received a faulty laptop and they told me to send it back. They picked it up from the post office and lost it before finding it when I showed them the postal tracking. They told me they were fixing it but I said I wanted a refund as it had already been three weeks. Two weeks ago I was told "of course you will get a refund." I have not seen any money. These people are common thieves and should be avoided at all costs. The company should be shut down. Since sending them my bank details I cannot contact them. They won't answer the phone or e-mails.

I have appreciated the prompt responses to my emails from Kelly. She arranged for replacement software under warranty and ensured I wasn't out of pocket for the postage. At all times she was courteous and helpful even offering helpful suggestions re getting the best performance from my new laptop. It's the first time I've bought a laptop online and even though there was a slight hick up (which can happen anywhere) Kelly's after sales service was excellent and the problem was resolved.

Ridiculous customer service. Warranty is not real warranty. Anything that happens to your laptop windows is a software issue and everything else is excluded from warranty like battery and damage in transit.
Warranty terms and conditions are not even presented to the buyer anywhere,
Buy from them if you would like to take a chance on your hard earned money, but dont expect any warranty support except for a couple of emails and never expect any problem will fall under warranty, Plus they will not talk to you on phone.

Opted for the replacement, went to pick it up and they dont operate from the premises they say in all their documentation. Dodgy! Have asked for a full refund and if I dont receive it ASAP, will go to the authorities. They dont even rate a 1 star!

I'm sorry that we were out of stock on your model which I advised you of last night. As per my email I offered you a choice between a full refund or another model. Before you proceed, please search on whirlpool.net.au for "laptop.com.au" and save yourself a lot of potential headache. This person "Don", whom I had the misfortunate with correspond with, is every bit as rude and thuggish as others have described.
Long story short. I received a laptop that was not as described. I requested a refund and even offered to bring it down to their shop in Springvale. Should be a simple matter with almost any other retailer worth their name, but nooo. This "Don" person not only flat out refused to give me a refund which is my right under the consumer law, he was extremely rude with the language he used.
Well, obviously he had no case under the law, and I ended up getting my money back from the credit card company, but they dragged out the whole thing and made me wait 5 long months.
I can't understand how these guys can still be in business while treating their customers in such a shoddy manner.
The worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Two computers that were DOA, had chargers for US, ASUS told me they are not meant for Australian market. The operators know how to get around ACCC regulations. NO support. I cannot stress enough - stay away from laptop.com.au!

I bought a cheap Toshiba laptop from this company in 2017 with no issues. Four years later when that laptop died, I decided to trust Laptop.com.au again, as it all worked out last time right? This time I went with a more expensive purchase, of a Lenovo Yoga refurbished. Basically, the laptop they sent to me didn't work when I took it out of the box, and I Emailed and corresponded with Jesse, who was very helpful and gave clear instructions on how to return it. About three weeks later I received an email from Jesse saying they were going to send me a new laptop as the old one didn't work.
The new laptop arrived today, about 4 days later, and so far so good with the laptop, but I won't be shopping here again as it was such a hassle and I went without a laptop for about a month.
I read these reviews before I bought it and I thought i would be one of the lucky ones who just gets what they pay for... it's not worth the risk, just buy from somewhere else!
