on 8/23/18I use mine at the grocery store whenever I go, but was unable to at the gas pump (outside), because it kept wanting a pin #, which I don't recall ever receiving a pin number.
The grocery store never asks, I use the chip side, as well as self checkout lane.
Perhaps if I had gone in it would've worked like the grocery, I just have an aversion to people & didn't want to be stuck at the register if it was going to be the same issue.
My bank card had just expired, the new one has the same number but different exp. Date, it wouldn't accept the pin I had been using on the previous card. That's why I tried the OpenSky one.
So I have to find out if or what the pins are now on both these. Most my bank card purchases are online and don't ask for pin either.
Fortunately I know some gas station pumps ask for zip code rather than pin, so I had to drive around on fumes to one I knew did after wasting 30 minutes playing pin games at various gas stations and seeing if they'd take the OpenSky like the grocery always does. My new bank card thankfully worked there using zip code.
Just thought it was something to be aware of so you don't wind up out there surprised like I did trying to make a vital purchase like gas for your car.
I haven't called them to find out if OpenSky even has a pin, it's really the reason I came here to see if it was mentioned, but I haven't seen any questions about it.
It's an actual physical credit card. I've used mine at Walmart, gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, fast-food joints like Taco Bell, and for online purchases.
