I have a kinda weird experience with online dating because whatever service I face, I am not able to find a good partner for myself. Due to pof, I just understood that I don't need to seek for a partner rather than just for a friend who you can talk to during the whole day. I mean, it's way cooler to have a friend who you can reach out and discuss variety of things and maybe in future I will have relationships with this person. But I ain't wanna make guesses, let it be.
Just like before people click like but they can't be bothered to message you. It's too much trouble for them. It's still full of women who think they're better than you and act stuck up. If you message first you'll either be ignored or find they have no conversation skills and no humour. The women are flawed and imperfect yet want someone perfect, tall dark and handsome. It's just 3s wanting 10s. Strong independent woman seeks man of her dreams 🙄 It'll be another 8 years before I bother again

POF was great years ago. Now it has become extremely restrictive as to what you can do without paying and it's not cheap. Just get the free version and you will see that they send you fake views and likes which you can't see unless you pay to get you to bite. 99% of users don't pay and can't see you either. There are very old and dormant profiles, fakes, scammers and plain out liars. I don't recommend pof. It was bought out by Match and takes advantage of lonely and desperate singles, sad.

My take on POF
Supply and demand isn't good on a dating site when there are hundreds of men for every single woman.
From what I saw, there are only two types of females on there: extremely ordinary and really terrible.
The ordinary ones get bombarded with 100s, of messages and start becoming picky, which is understandable, I guess. The terrible ones get very little mail and are on there for years and becoming increasingly bitter.
Simp guys can cop the blame for ruining POF; love bombing anyone even half decent. They've ruined it with their pathetic behavior.
So if you don't get a reply, you now know why

Pof is just the bottom twenty percent of society all denanding someone from the top 10 percent.
They have absolutely no hope at all but refuse to compromise. It's frankly embarrassing to see such spoilt behaviour.
Pof is full of extremely picky middle aged women who still think they can be as choosy as they were when they were twenty one. It's entitlement city on there and delusion central all rolled into one.
Its just rammed with women who demand the man of their dreams but refuse to upgrade so have to constantly tell you they can't see likes.
I've never seen so many people with blatant issues. This is not a good place to be. It's misfit city, timewaster central.
If you do find someone okay bear in mind they'll be 500 other men messaging too

Very poor customer service. Bait n Switch - they charge your credit card then ban your account refusing to pay back money. Do yourself a favor stay away and find another site
Customer service emails for resolution are " RUDE "
Tip for consumers:
Stay Away

Good luck finding a lady of good breeding on POF.
Heck, good luck even finding anybody even appealing
The 'ladies' are more masculine and uncouth than most men I know. I don't find cursing all the time and being covered in tattoos attractive or ladylike. I guess they don't know any better
Most on POF are incredibly rude, lack any humor class, or even basic decency, but they sure still demand the man of their dreams.
Tldr; POF is full of terribly low-class people. I think the phrase is 'scraping the bottom of the barrel.

PlentyOfFish is a tremendous website if you're on the lookout for a single mother or searching for someone who is crazy and covered in tattoos... it's full of them.
If, on the other hand, you're looking for someone happy friendly and with no baggage, then you'll be sorely disappointed.
Tip for consumers:
The quality is really bad, the clientele leave a lot to be desired
Date of experience: November 12, 2024
It's not the site it is the people that are to blame
How can you take any site seriously when every single woman on there thinks she is a princess who won't settle for anything less than the men of their dreams. It's crazy
Date of experience: October 27, 2024
To be honest I didn't find many of the women on the site very attractive at all. Even the ones who were okay seemed to have a terrible attitude or no personality.
All the profiles are blank or just tell you they don't like cheats and how they can't see the likes.
The funniest ones are those which tell you they're the self proclaimed banter queen yet can't even fill the about them section out.
0 stars. It leaves a lot to be desired. This isn't the way to meet your soul mate

80 percent of the females on POF are utterly dreadful. The remaining 20% are just plain Jane standard. Yet they ALL think they're a solid 10/10. Just look at the state of the photos and the aggressive profiles they put up. You're dealing with the reject bin of life.
The only reason they adopt the picky entitled attitude and make no attempt with their profile is because of how pathetic a lot of the men are on there act.
Way too many simp desperate men who are so thirsty for any partner at all that they bombard every single woman with messages telling them how great they are.
Most of the men are to blame and need to get some self respect. The women must laugh at the desperation
It's utterly embarrassing. Online dating is dreadful. It's full of horrible desperate and rude people.
Tip for consumers:
Only online could so many unattractive people act like they're hot property. It's embarrassing
Date of experience: October 18, 2024
The people on the site are either unwilling or unable to fill out their dating profile without being rude or demanding, so it's hardly surprising they can't make their relationships work and are single?
It's pretty evident they're on POF because no one else can deal with them in real life yet they act like God's gift, and they're actually doing you a favor by being on POF.
They all seem incredibly angry, unhappy and downright rude. So more for creating a good first impression. Can't see likes, hate liars, and cheats; make me laugh; don't waste my time!. No ugly people! Were just some of the headlines I saw and should give an indication of what kind of people you'll encounter if you sign up to this site

All the females on POF are looking for their prince to spend their life with. That would be fine apart from the fact they offer very little and want it all.
Let's be honest. If you're short, unfit, not very aesthetically pleasing, and lacking basic social skills, can you really demand a man who is very good-looking, funny, and tall? It's not going to happen, is it?
Most of them also had a really bad attitude problem and didn't seem to like men.
Safe to say this you won't find your dream partner on this site. Probably 5000-1 odds
Tip for consumers:
Full of women with tattoos, over sized glasses and moon faces all with a huge list of requirements

I didn't expect much but was still extremely disappointed.
I was only looking for someone okay-looking who was a nice person. No chance. A total waste of time
POF is just full of rude, bitter, angry, aggressive, and unpleasant women who are out of shape and just look really old.
I've never seen such a bunch of misfits and attention seekers.
If, on the off chance, you do find someone half normal, keep in mind you'll be competing with 1000s of other men so it's pointless
POF is definitely not the place to go to meet a nice, well-balanced, happy woman, quite the opposite in fact
Date of experience: September 18, 2024
I couldn't believe the 'quality' of women, some shocked me, some revolted me, others made me feel sad for them. Mostly though they're 55 year olds dressed up as if they're 20 again, this one old hag stated on her profile "Nothing bald and short" then I saw HER! You'd think it was princess Diana but more like Countess Dracula, total embarrassment, oh and don't forget the tattoos! Plenty of Tats would be a better title for this hideous spectacle.
If you do see someone you like they're usually 200 miles away, I believe there are some decent people on there but very few, oh and I kept getting messaged by 70 yo's! I'm 52, I'm still getting over it, AVOID guys ffs!
Date of experience: September 3, 2024
The women on there are 35 years+, all without exception demanding the man of their dreams.
In return, the lucky man will get a woman way past her past who doesn't exercise, has other men's children, multiple tattoos and piercings, and an attitude problem
The worse they are, the more attitude they have. Truly baffling.
I didn't see any kindness or humility on Plenty of Fish. It was really a sewer
Date of experience: August 6, 2024
It's the bottom 20% of women demanding the top 10% of men. You don't need to be Albert Einstein to realise that's unrealistic, so little wonder it's always the same people you see on there month after month
The messages I received were from people with no social skills. I had women who claimed they were teachers message me and use text talk. They were unable to string a sentence together. The funniest one was a woman who said she was looking for a man who loved Disney. What are the chances of that?
Needless to say, I'm no longer on the site
Tip for consumers:
Zero stars for what's on offer on pof
Date of experience: July 26, 2024
'Used to be a reasonable site - then ruined after monetization... Now a total waste of time. Unrealistic, rude, self entitled dimwits that appear to be verbally challenged... look anywhere but this site... Do yourself a favour, give POF a big miss...
Date of experience: July 25, 2024
I'm not exaggerating when I say If you saw the POF women in real life, you wouldn't give them a second glance; in fact, you'd feel sorry for them. That's how low the quality is.
What makes it funny is that they are so damn picky online, all acting like the Queen of Sheeba when, quite frankly, they're terrible. They all look old, are out of shape, unattractive, and have no personality. There's no reason why why man should message them
I have no idea what the men are like but the women are undateable
Date of experience: July 22, 2024
I've never encountered so many ignorant, stuck-up weird aggressive people on one site. The women are just rude and unpleasant, picky and arrogant. I've never seen so many women with obvious issues demand the man of their dreams as if they really think they deserve it
The more unattractive they are, the more picky they are. Short, unattractive, low-IQ women expect to find someone tall, dark, and handsome.
I've never seen so many foul-mouthed tattooed women in one place. They are just so unfeminine and have no class. They brag that they have no filter and swear a lot, like it's a good thing.
I'll happily never use this site again.

I have been using Plenty of Fish (POF) for some time, and my experience has been overwhelmingly disappointing. My main issue is the high prevalence of fake profiles on the site. Despite my efforts to engage with profiles that initially seem promising, I have found that most are fraudulent.
One of the major concerns is that the people who approach me also appear to be fake. To protect myself, I routinely run image searches on various search engines, and unfortunately, many of the profiles that initially seemed genuine have turned out to be using stolen or misleading images. It's evident that POF does not adequately vet or verify its user base to prevent these types of scams.
As a result, over 95% of the profiles I have interacted with have been fake or misleading in some way. This issue has significantly undermined my confidence in the platform and led me to the decision to cancel my membership.
In summary, my experience with POF has been marred by the presence of numerous fake profiles and a lack of effective moderation to combat these issues. While I cannot recommend this site based on my personal experience, I hope that POF will take steps to improve its user verification process. In the meantime, I am choosing to explore other options.

Yikes. It's really bad and repetitive
Nobody can see likes on pof but the women all have to tell you they can't see them. Virtually every headline is moaning about it. It's so tedious. They can't comprehend that everyone else says exactly the same thing. They also like to tell you to ask rather than fill the profile out
Women normally want to meet a man and get married, then have children. The ones on POF have children with anyone it seems, then want to meet a man, settle down, and get married. They expect you to bring up another man's children and be happy about it. And it's your loss if you don't.
It's also full of 2's wanting 8's and 3's wanting 10's. If you don't believe me look at the photos of the women demanding Mr Right and see how entitled they are and look at what they offer in return
Most of the women are aggressive, rude, and have no clue how to hold a conversation.
I've deleted the app
Tip for consumers:
Can't see likes. LOL

I tried the 3 month plan and spent a lot of time on the app. Bottom line it was a big waste of time and energy. I discontinued the pay service and deleted the app and they had the balls to bill me again. I am disputing the charge on my card. Be very careful when signing up. I had 0 results and all they want is your $$$. PLUS, I found that they have a lot of fake accounts and ghosting. WORTHLESS CHEATS

Was a nice site when founded in 2003. What most people do not realize is that the site has since be sold to a dating giant -along with its good reputation- who changed the whole setting - and the reputation as well. Looks like present owner knows how to earn money and probably went into data sharing (selling?) business; anyway, there seem to be now a lot of people who have quite other ideas in their heads but dating...

There is no way to input and/or search by my preferences in a mate so it's all up to POF who in turn wants me to check out males twenty years younger and inches shorter.
Scammers abound and there are plenty of men posting pictures that are not their own. For example, one man posted a picture of Albert Einstein, confirmed by Google. Reported to no avail, it's still there. Others post pictures of their cats, dogs, unknown females, sunset, numerous vehicles without a rider, phone numbers in the About section, and more. Some even get away with having multiple profiles.
Reports fall on deaf ears. Men members are allowed all this, while I, a female, posted a photo of an open road and it was taken down. Can't vouch what is done to the other female posts as I can't view them.
Am not paying a penny to this site because I don't think it's worth it. The only good thing is that you can write your About section practically freehand and that you can still get somewhere as a not a paid member.
Tip for consumers:
Be extremely careful, watch for the catfish, check phone numbers if they are VOIP. Don't pay a penny either to the site or to the members contacting you.
