I have a combo Dryer/Washing by GE machine. Electric motor was wet over the Sandy storm. Everything stays at least 6 weeks without touching. I disconnected belt to the transmission and start the motor, was noisy for 2-3 second I disconnected. I did same again with turning motor by hand (I knew is dangerous) and motor was running. I installed new capacitor and everything is same, motor not running without help by turning. Do I need to by a new motor?
