Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from Scribd staff and previous consumers.
Being that they collect everyone's debit/credit card numbers I highly doubt they are looking to improve anything. As of November 2018 they are still collecting.
Hi Claudia, You can cancel it at any time through your Account Settings (www.scribd.com/account). When you cancel your subscription we'll ensure it remains active until the end of the current time that you've paid for, but will not bill you again. We have more detailed instructions in our help topic, "How do I cancel or update my recurring subscription?" (https://support.scribd.com/hc/en-us/articles/210134046)
Hi Veronical, I'm sorry to hear about this! According to our records, the account associated with veronicaljordan@ymail.com is not subscribed to our premium membership. This means, you have a second account with us. Please send us an email to help@scribd.com and we will absolutely help to locate your missing subscription!
Hey there! Thanks for reaching out, and for your interest in Scribd! We are a digital reading subscription that brings you monthly access to the best books, audiobooks, news, and magazines. Many of our members use our website and app to read everything from bestsellers and old classics to legal documentation and instruction manuals. We also carry a wide variety of sheet music and news articles along with thousands of audiobooks! With our constantly updated catalogs of content libraries, we're confident you'll find something you'd like to read with us. If you want to dip your toes into a new book, or just get to know us a little better we offer a free trial here: https://www.scribd.com/subscribe. Anyone is welcome to sign up and start reading! If you don't already have an account with us, you'll be prompted to make one when you start the sign-up process. If you're signing up online through the website we can currently accept only PayPal, VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card, or American Express. You can cancel your free trial subscription's renewal at any time. You'll still receive your full 30 days, but will not be billed after that. Usually, you can do so from your Account Settings page. ITunes subscribers must go through iTunes to cancel, however. Once your trial time ends, your free Scribd account will remain active, but you will no longer be able to view any of our premium content (whether it was saved to your device or otherwise). You'll still have access to your personalized profile and Scribd's vibrant community of readers though! You can always purchase a new subscription any time to restore access to the full breadth of Scribd's catalog. If you do not cancel your subscription before the end of the trial period, your credit card or PayPal account will be billed automatically for the coming month. You can still cancel future payments: when you cancel your paid subscription we'll ensure it remains active until the end of the current month that you've paid for, but will not bill you again. We have more detailed instructions at our help topic "How do I cancel my premium membership?". If you need assistance with any of this, please do not hesitate to reach out!
Hi Najib - I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience but Scribd does not actually sell books directly. Our company provides a subscription service that grants you blanket access to content through our partnerships with publishers and authors. If a document or book has been made available in full by it's owner, author, or publisher then it will be available as part of our membership service. These titles cannot be purchased individually or directly from Scribd though. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at help@scribd.com. Thank you!
