They are often real, but not unfortunately of a very high caliber. I know that sounds awful, but I do not set my standards too high. I just tend to be a realist. Good luck to all.

I'm a novice on a computer & yet I've managed to get thru this web site - SeniorPeopleMeet.com - and yes, there are real people on there. I live in Sacramento so I only 'connect' with people living close to me, and the experiences have been interesting, and I've made a few new friends - but not 'the one'. But - it's better than some of the other sites that I have tried. I paid $89.00 for six months, put in three pictures, did a profile, and have received mostly positive comments about both the profile and the pictures. The site is not totally user friendly, but - I did my 'homework', researched the site, got phone numbers & addresses, etc. Anyone can do that. Sunshine 'N Smiles. Karen.

I think you feel the way I do. I paid to see if he rec'd my messages when I FIRST SIGNED ON!? But that wasn't so as I paid another fee for that and I have written several lines on chat and have not had "one" back YET? I ONLY correspond to ONE person, and yet up pops a guy and They are saying he rec'd a flirt from ME!? Guess we have to pay for each item which I was not aware of till I ANSWERED YES TO THEIR QUESTION! The person I've been chatting with thinks I am a kook.It would have been nice too meet but at 80 I don't have the time nor $ to wait or spend. Should have checked SCAMS before doing this; I know better

Yes, there are real people on the site. The biggest problem is you cannot tell the difference between a regular paying member and one who is on for free. The paying people who pay a little extra get color coded. The only thing a non paying member can do is look at profiles. They can see who looked at them, but they cannot read emails, flirts, etc. Nor can they send emails, flirts. Etc.

In my opinion the site is poorly programmed. They are not necessarily out to help you find a match. But to get more paying members. Generally, only one of my five daily matches is good. The other four are usually too young or have not been one for a while. I generally assume anyone who has not been on for 30 days is not a paying member (I can usually find many of them on POF).
