I've been using few dating sites for people in their 50+ in parallel and despite seniorpeoplemeet didn't help me to find my soulmate (unlike primetimelove.com, which did), I have had quite a few very nice conversations with the ladies using the site. I'm not a stupid kind of guy to be fooled, so I was careful in my choice. You guys who complain a lot, try to think of the dating sites like of real life: definitely not easy, expensive sometimes and lots of wrong personalities on your way. But if you're determined enough, you'll finally get lucky. Don't give up and keep positive attitude to your lifes!
Don't touch it with a bargepole! Seek4Match Or any other big legit site is better and way cheaper. My review about SeniorPeopleMeet will be totally negative, although I don't usually write reviews, but now I can't keep from complaining about this scam site. What happens when you subscribe to SeniorPeopleMeet is you start meeting fake profile after fake profile. SeniorPeopleMeet website automatically bills you for a year-long membership without even asking you. Shame on them! What a scam!

These guys have a stated price to sign up. I think it was 23.99 but then when I checked my credit card record it was 27.99. They sneak in what they call a processing fee. How dishonest can you be?
In addition I found people I had supposedly added as a favorite which I don't recall adding. Lots of flirts from out of state when I clearly state in my profile that I will not respond. They either don't read my profile or they are system generated flirts.
Although there are legitimate users on the site it's difficult to figure out who is real and who fake.
Fortunately I signed up for one month and cancelled shortly there after to prevent the auto re-bill. All in all I think this is a shady site. You're better off going to Match.com.

Im really enjoying using SeniorPeopleMeet and think it would be hard to have a better experience. Ive heard some of the other ladies in my book club talking about PrimeTimeLove.com, but I really dont see me trying other sites anytime soon as im happy enough. There are lots of true gentlemen that have a lot in common with me and its nice to talk to them, whether over messages or in person (ive met three so far and can honestly say I think ill stay friends with all of them). If things keep going this way I may not need to pay for a dating service subscription for much longer! A very positive experience indeed.
Everything about this site sucks. They have no way for you to narrow your search in mileage. I've been out on a couple of dates the pictures do not match the people, I've never seen so many Christians who wanted to jump into bed immediately! This place is a total scam I applied for one month and they hit my credit card for almost $60. Worst dating site ever
I would give this site no stars if I could. I had received a few messages and I was skeptical about paying to view them. Then, when I did, I got a couple of rude replies from men who must be sitting at their computers waiting for women to answer. I was on for two days and then cancelled and lost the 1 month subscription money I paid. And, can someone please tell me why these guys need your email address after one email reply? It's pretty creepy to me. Save your money and stay away.

Just got an email from SeniorPeopleMeet.com, stating that I have 5 new messages, and 12 new flirts. Interesting, since I cancelled my account a week ago. I have email from them go directly into my spam folder because I don't really want anymore communication with them. I also got a security warning telling me that the site, if opened, could compromise any personal information that I have stored on my laptop. This website is a total scam.
I've written several messages to various women and have found that there is no way one could get to meet them. What are you supposed to do, send an e mail or phone?
I'm beginning to realize that this site is like all the others... a complete waste of money.
Why doesn't the Government do something to regulate these sharks who take advantage od vulnerable people who are looking for a relationship and happiness.
I've been getting "Fave'd Me" once or twice a week from an individual who hasn't logged onto the site in months. I believe that their computer thinks that my subscription has run out and that the website is attempting to lure me back with false messages. I have responded to several messages, fave'ds, and flirts sent to me by other women but did not receive responses. It appears that this website is more than a bit fishy.
SeniorPeopleMeet displays a lot of profiles (Including mine right now) who are not members. They have trouble getting paying members and only paying members can respond. One male told me he contacted them to resign, but was offered a $4.00 a month deal to stay on. My membership is not active, but my profile is displayed. I have just clicked on 20 people who supposedly had "flirted" with me. Each time it told me the person was "on-line." This is not statistically possible at 2:00 pm in the afternoon, so "on-line!" must mean that I clicked on their profile. Yes, I know that... thank you! I joined for one month back in the fall and found that almost none of the men responded to my inquiries. I believe this is because they were no longer members or never had been a member. Any one can create a profile so it looks like there are real members in the database, but many are not.
A lot of people have had bad experiences with this internet dating. I can not understand the reason. I have been on this one several times. I am not looking for a husband just someone to be like a good friend. I have found many and when one or the other of us find someone else we part as friends. I think some people just look at the picture and turn them down. That will get you no where. If they have some interests like yours, give it a try. It might not be the love affair of the century but it could be the start of something good. My longest relationship was 4 years. I am 80 now.
When you a free member all men will get flirts message hey are fake generated by the company. So the man thinks oh I got messages he pays joins then finds out woman never contacted him co sent messages to entice him to join is fake
This site is definitely a rip off... I have even gone so far as to request a refund but good luck on that, huh? Just a site for users and players. I joined on impulse and have regretted it ever since. Please don't make the same mistake I did... you could get the same promises this site offers for "free". Spread the word... innocent people are falling for this crap every day and this site's promises are not kept. Post your comments everywhere until someone checks into this scam. Seniorpeoplemeet=garbage. Hindsight is 20/20 but I wish i had used my money elsewhere. Help!
Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in on this. Considering the silver surfer market is generally regarded as the biggest for spending, the dating sites for this demographic are generally poor. I think SeniorPeopleMeet along with maybe just one other (PrimeTimeLove) are the only reliable 'grey dating' websites. Well worth checking out both and they only cost a few bucks a month. Shane (59 years old) in Minneapolis.
I clicked on an ad for this site and moved through it out of curiosity. Huge mistake... I am now receiving automated emails confirming my membership when I didn't even finish an application or give them payment information. Smacks of a scam... hope people read the reviews first and avoid this site.
Sign up to the site and you will receive dozens of emails that someone has messaged you or singled you out. Once you pay for a subscription to access these messages, you will discover that they either don't exist or are fake. In some cases you will even be solicited for money.
The site won't post pictures until they're approved, so surely they can weed out obvious fake profiles; they either don't want to or are generating these ads and replies themselves. You will get so many fake email and responses it borders on harassment. I've received around 20 per hour at times.
This site should be shut down, it's garbage.
Beware. They inform folks you sent a "flirt", or viewed a profile, when you did not. Say you were viewed by others, but were not,(computer generated). The few I messaged did not answer, (hard to believe all were that rude). I'm 65 and had three 30 year olds "flirt' with me? Sounds a bit phoney. Don't waste your money with this site. I think all the others operate in the same fashion too. A real shame!
Signed up for 30 day free trial and credit card was billed immediately. In addition to that, my own words were deleted from the site several times and a couple of pictures were deleted. They claim that they did not meet their guidelines, (which I still have yet to find). These were perfectly decent pictures of my hobby which was my model train set. I cancelled on line but I will probably have to call my credit card company and deny the charge. I have been a member less than 2 weeks. I will be calling the credit card company Monday.
I signed up for six months. Tried hard to vet men I was chatting with, and half were scammers. Many others were not even close to honest, which is not the site's responsibility, but the site itself sends fake flirts and message alerts with no compunction. Especially after my subscription expires. Indicates to me that lying is perfectly acceptable, actually promoted on this site. Not for me! I would not recommend it and will not waste money again.
These 2 dating sites are owned by People Media along with several others. Even if you cancel or non-renew your subscription they try to debit your credit card anyway. They also sell/provide porn sites with your email address then deny it when you confront them. DON'T sign up for any of these sites.
In the beginning every thing looked legit... then I received a few flirts and I would reply to them. Then would never get an answer. I sent an email and complained. After that I started getting flirts from supposedly men in other states and their info was typed and spelled like a first grader... I think it is coming from India or a similar place now. There is NO telephone # and I had a hard time trying to find an email addy to contact them... which is by the way... <*******@seniorpeoplemeet.com> This is a scam!
This is a lousy site and is not worth the money. I joined in Dec and paid for 6 months and am sorry I did. No matter how many times I go into my profile to indicate what match I would like - the matches are NOTHING like what I asked for. You have the option of choosing what race you'd like and smoking or non-smoking, marital status and age among other things - and these are the 3 items they get wrong consistently. I ask for a 60-70 year old white male, divorced or widowed, non-smoker, and what do I get. Not white - "legally separated" which is just crap, smoker and 54 years old? Don't waste your money on this site. You have a better chance of meeting someone on a bus!
My profile was taken over by someone else earlier last year and had extremely difficult time from SPM to restore. Now again when I am on the site and looking up "who I viewed" there appears to be several women I did not view appearing there and requests (4) to SPM have had no response from them. Asking for a refund or correction to this has gone unanswered except with the usual automated email. These are crooks no doubt in my mind and my concern of my profile being hacked again has gone into their trash bin.
Why is my profile still up and active on July 3 2016 after I closed my account and removed my profile on July 1? That is unscrupulous, and just another matter I'll have to tackle with customer service after the holidays, following a long string of such phone calls: eg. After my account was hacked (TWICE!) in one week, including a fraudulent charge put on my credit card.(I had to get a new one.)Their web security is extremely porous. If a scammer or hacker targets you on SeniorPeopleMeet, good luck. You're a sitting duck! Good people, avoid, avoid, avoid!
I found that I cannot get administration assistance, every single man I chatted with and 'met' are scammers. Every single one. Thankfully I found out before it was too late. I will be making sure that everyone I find who has anything to do with this site is aware of the scam. Thanks for that. Luckily I did not spend a lot of money.
This site did not allow me out of my free trial, and charged me without notice for the next 6 months. So I had no usage, and assumed that it was over. Makes sense, they kick you off, and you think you are done. Guess what they charged me anyways. And its a lousy site.
