on 5/11/15Well, this is a dilemma that most designers struggle with. The majority of women have different displacement of weight. So, if you are a size 16 and on the thresholsd of an 18. You would have to take into consideration you most gifted areas. A good rule of thumb while observing a new name brand size chart, would be to measure your bust at the fullest point. Than measure your waist than hips. Most women can not follow the chart straight across. No worries. Find the cross point where you start with your bust size and finish with your hip size. Where the center closest to crossing the waist size. This is the size you order. I have a larger bust size than waist or hips. Solution, a belt. Once Zulily spots your figure style. Suggested fashions will be offered at the bottom of your screen. And have fun doing this. All shapes and sizes are beautiful.
I'd say it's hit or miss. Obviously I've had some bad experiences with them, which prompted my review, but I haven't given up completely. I have gotten some good stuff for good prices over the years. Since I am a liberal online shopper, and since I'm willing to take a gamble on certain things, I will continue to order from them probably. But beware of brands you don't know and shoes or swim suits that you can't return (because the sizing is often off). And never use Zulily to buy gifts.
I'd only order a brand you are familiar with from them so you know sizing will be accurate and you know what kind of quality you are getting. Shipping can be slow - especially considering the shipping rates they charge. Their customer service is bad. I had a shipping issue once and was told it was between me and UPS! So I had to file my own claim with UPS and coordinate my own refund which was a hassle. Zulily did eventually end up refunding me approx 2 weeks later.
