I have collected payments from my customers of about $1600+ and all of a sudden they just closed my account witout payouts! They are holding my Money for almost a month and all of sudden they are telling me that my account is closed it'll take 1 year the funds to be released! Are they kidding! Those funds are paid to me via my clietns through them. They don't have the rights to hold the funds. That money belongs to me! Please take immidiete action as they try to stole my money! And showing no reason. I'm ready do anything for this funds as those funds belongs to me. No matter what, go to media or any legal action.

I found out that for almost two years, avangate stealing money from my account. Without any notifications or emails.
Initially, I canceled all auto-subscriptions (and several times in several services), sent them messages about it, but I could not even find out where and what service was carrying off the write-off data.

In total, the system has stolen almost 300 dollars in two years.
In general, it is not possible to find out the name of the service, nor the working conditions are signed from me, nor for which money was withdrawn. There is not even a notice of any subscription!
Obviously, no services were provided.
Therefore, I reasonably demand a refund: there was not a single service I received for this money

DO NOT USE THIS MERCHANT. I used 2CheckOut for one of my business for almost 2 years we had many transactions until December 2016 when we had our first chargeback. Because of this one charge back 2CheckOut sent us an email and locked our account said we went over our 2% chargeback rate. They then sent us an email we have to send them back the funds via PayPal. We send them back the funds via Paypal and they still refused to open back our account. Also a note please make sure the % they state on the website is the actual % they take out they said they were charging us 5% in transaction fees when we calculated it they were charging us over 11% during our service period and even after many emails they never refunded us our agreed %.

Just today I was charged 49.95 to my card whilst playing a the new Legend of Zelda Game. I've never order any thing from them and did not know they even existed until after I quit playing and checked my phone alerts. Be warned, avangate may be accessing you bank card or account information using hackers.

Blocked purchase after payment confirmation. They ask for due diligence (additional papers) after you pay. Avoid them at any price. This can delay a purchase by 24 hours.

I think that Avangate aka 2checkout aka Verifone is one of the only payment processor that block payment for due diligence after a successful paypal payment confirmation. After i performed a paypal payment on the payment page, Avangate sent me link to my email address to confirm my paypal email address. This is done AFTER the reception of the successful payment from Paypal to confirm the payment! Then, even after the successful payment and the successful link confirmation they blocked the delivery of the service (a VPN service) because they wanted more due diligence.

I really wonder if all of that is legal because their process isn't mentioned upfront. Since they are located in the Netherlands, it would be worth notifying the authorities in the Netherlands. It is like going to the supermarket paying by a credit card, receiving a receipt for confirmation of payment and the cashier would keep all the items you have bought saying, "now we have to perform additional checkups and i will keep your items".

They are also lots of complaints on trustpilot about avangate. This also includes people using avangate as merchants & affiliates. I also had a problem with them as an affiliate.

Was charged for an app I never purchased! Contacted Avangate only to get the run around. I will be filing a claim with BBB and suggest everyone else that Avangate has ripped off do the same! Let potential victims be warned at least.

Can't understand how you can stay in business, from all the reviews I have read. I brought an embroidery software program, it was on sale for $49.99 from $89.99. I pushed a button thinking I was going to an even larger discount, boy was I wrong I received a 10% off the original price. I soon as I soon as I saw my mistake I contacted them to see what could be done. I was referred to the maker of the software. No one wants to help me

This company has failed to do what they say they will do in regards to a refund.
I only used them because they were the contracted processors to pay on a website: Ayalabarstore.com where I bought some expensive jewelry. When I made a return and the vendor requested 2Checkout issue a refund, I was told 7-10 days I would get a refund on my PayPal Account. When 2 weeks later nothing, I inquired and was told they goofed and dropped the request, and it would be fixed in 1-3 days. If I hadn't inquired apparently no one would have noticed it hadn't been processed. It has now been 7 days, and nothing again. This was after it took me 2 months just to get the vendor Ayalabarstore.com to authorize 2Checkout to give a refund. It has been a nightmare and in the meantime I am without a good sum of money.
Stay Away.

They stealing your money

The worst service ever. And also illigal.
They put you under "verification process' any time they want and how many times the want after they approve the account. At this moment they block all your transaction and hold the money without any deadline an without notifying you. So you are loosing customer while they are doing this "process"
They also can refund any purchase if they think it is violation the rules. On the questio what exactly violated their rules, the answer is - according to our internal policy we wil not share this information with you. So they just take a lot of money for transactions and after present your money to your customers.
Never ever use them!

I'M 70 YEARS OLD AND USE MY COMPUTER FOR EMAILING. AT 4; 00 A.M. I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM A COMPANY I'VE NEVER HEARD, FOREIGN MEN INSISTING I BUY SOMETHING TO FACILITATE MY COMPUTER USE. REPEATEDLY I SAID, I DO NOT UNDERSTAND YOU AND WAS TRANSFERRED TO EVEN LESS INTELLIGIBLE MEN.
IT WAS VERY OBVIOUS THAT THAT I DID NOT WANT THE PRODUCT. I HUNG UP THREE TIMES, THREE TIMES THEY CALLED.
I DO NOT DRINK OR TAKE DRUGS BUT HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY ILL, AT 4 AM, I'M SOUND ASLEEP, WHAT KIND OF PRODUCT IS IT THAT USES SUCH DESPERATE TACTICS TO SELL.
TO BE SO WORN DOWN THAT I AGREED TO 29 DOLLAR PACKAGE FOR ANOTHER UNKNOWN JUST TO GET RID THEM IS REPREHENSIBLE.
I DIDN'T EVEN REMEMBER THIS NIGHTMARE
UNTIL MASTERCARD CALLED TO VALIDATE A NEARLY 5OO PURCHASE, ALERTED BY SAME FRAUD FROM OTHER CARD HOLDERS, I SAID NO, TAKE IT OFF IMMEDIATELY, ONLY TO HAVE PAYPAL CALL WITH CHARGES.
WHEN I HAVE 500 DOLLARS, IT GOES TO PAYING MEDICAL BILLS.
IVE NEVER USED IT AS I SEE YOUR MESSAGES FLASHING UP IN THE CORNER AS I WRITE.
PLEASE REFUND MY MONEY IMMEDIATELY. THEN GO PEDDLE YOUR WARES THE HONEST WAY OR AT LEAST DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS.

Frauds
March 30, 2016

Spend 45 minutes on the phone with these low lives. Only to end up spending close to $200 while they controlled everything on out laptop and now have access to our gmail account and debit card. It started sounding fishy so we told them we heard they were frauds and they immediately wanted to hang up. AVOID THEM.

I was also just terminated. Liked them at first. Spent 7 months and 15 grand setting up a subscription based forum, a first for my industry.
Quickly realized the people are so used to free info that the format was not going to work and switched it to free. Not feeling it was fair to keep the first 9 peoples monies who paid to get in while the new people got access for free I refunded the monies for the first nine subscribers. No one asked i just thought it was the right thing to do. 2CO sent me a threatening email I responded by email and spoke to a supervisor, walked her through the forum and told her why I gave the refunds and that I had considered moving the account to my main business that does 6 figures online per year. She said she understood and promised to call me back the next day. No call, I hate that, just an email that said I was terminated for too many charge backs. They listened so well.
I dont like the hold back of the monies on top of the use charges. They should have listened better, much better. Not impressed!

3-31-16 After several social media posts they offered to reopen my account and drop the hold back charge from 25% back to 5%. I had a CC termial to still run orders but if I did not I could have lost multiple days of business. I have decided not to continue as they hold to much power over a business I have built from scratch.

I contacted them because I was unable to activate IObit Malware Fighter 4 PRO.
I eventually got it activated but had to endure a never ending sales scam saying my computer was running slow because of virus or a third party. I told them my computer was running very well till I contacted them! They tried to tell me that csrss. Exe (in Task Manager) was a trojan and should not be there! Thankfully I told them I wanted to end the session without doing anything but activating the IObit software I had purchased. I have since found that csrss. Exe is an essential part of win32. They are evidently Cust Serv for various companies because I had to tell them what companys software I was trying to activate. I have no problem with IObit (so far) but Avangate customer service is a scam and should be avoided!

TECH SUPPORT

Never have I had so much pressure to buy other products than when I called in requesting support. I was passed to at least 3 people who I had to explain why I was calling each time before I got a "technician" who must have been a high pressure used car salesman in his former job. They kept insisting I buy one of their products. I told them over and over I just wanted my computer fixed. After 15 minutes of their hard sell and me getting very heated, they finally started fixing the issue. It took them another 45 minutes which was filled with more selling pitches. My husband had to intervene as I was getting very upset, I was charged $150 supposibly for a year service, however today I got an invoice for another $150 after less than a month and when I called in, they laid the guilt trip on me and wanted to know which technician I was unhappy with so they could "fire him". I had 3 technicians work on my computer and they all did the hard sell... They said they could "waive the $150 this month if I paid the $6.99 monthly fee". Their rates seem to differ each time you call. The only reason why I would even rate them a 1 star is because they answer their phone, Never will I recommend this company nor will I continue with this company again!

2 checkout is one of the biggest credit card processor scams out there.

They will continually violate VISA and Master card charge back rules and screw you over without a thought. They do NOT review charge backs for fraud and other bogus credit card activities. So, if there is fraud by a a purchaser, you will be left holding the bag.

They are NOT on your side for charge backs so don't be fooled.

Incompetent short sighted. You will rue the day you signed up with them. Several class action suits are being reviewed for filing at this time.

Avoid if at all possible

I have just successfully come out the other side of battle with Avangate, having had to opt for litigation through PayPal to obtain full refund for software that didn't work. If it smells like scam... avoid.

They work for MANY software companies and once they get into your device, consider it toast. They PLANTED malware in that another company had to FORCEFLLY remove. They are rude, obnoxious and will quite literally rip you off. Not to mention the never ending phone calls... up to 15+ per day, all day, everyday. I can't believe these big name companies use them for tech support! They make ConnectTech look like angels (and they're not either). Don't make the mistake of EVER contacting them or downloading from them!

Thieves!

Purchased software and was charged an additional "setup and installation" fee of more than the software - and I never wanted the service! Website trickery meant to trick unknowing users. I know better and still got caught. Reported to the Northern CA BBB.

Placed an order at 3:00 this afternoon and it is now 8:40pm and I still do not have the software I ordered and the payment is still 'under review'. How any company chooses to use this payment gateway is anyone's guess. They must be super cheap. I will never buy from any business using Avangate again.
