I was kind of disappointed when my delivery was delayed for two days. The good thing is that I was made aware when the developments occurred, I Was therefore not that disappointed. I did get what I needed and it is just what I expected with no flaws.
I used to get tired of hauling around my DSLR with multiple lenses. I now use my Sony RX100 IV exclusively. It's a pocketable size, and the quality of my images are impeccable. The lens is fast and sharp. I've never had any problems with 42nd Street Photo.
When looking for an online photo equipment source I chose 42photo because of the info on the camera I wanted and the price. I got a call after placing the order warning me that my choice was a "gray market" camera without warranty. I changed to a unit with warranty and the service 42photo provided was great. I will use 42photo in the future.
Ordered the Nikon PROSTAFF P7 8x42 last weekend and delivered on wednesday 5/1/24—have used them for tracking moving birds, wildlife and aircraft as the daylight is fading. I couldn't get it shipped to Salt Lake from Nikon's website and this was very convenient. The only shortcoming is a higher price (including shipping charges). Otherwise, would recommend for optics and hobby gear.

I decided to buy the Canon 90d because of the price and it was lighter than my other DSLRs. 42nd street photo had a great set of refurbished cameras and this was one of them. Their prices are great & their inventory is well stocked. I got all my darkroom chemistry there last summer. I ordered Chromogenic C-41film from them in 1 JAN 2021 & they had it shipped to me right away so I was able to keep working during the Festive Season. When I lived in New York I shopped there all the time & when I visit, I make sure to stop in for some film & anything else I maybe looking for.
The Sigma 50mm F1.4 Art DG HSM lens was dispatched amazingly quickly on the order day (Thursday) and could have been delivered by the next Tuesday had I not changed delivery to Friday, and it was delivered on time. Since this lens was sent from New York to Oregon, the shipping time was excellent. The lens was well-packed and in new condition. It's working perfectly. Thank you!
Excellent service, purchased a secondhand 12-100 Olympus lens from 42nd Street Photo, arrived well packaged and exactly as described, this is the third lens that I've bought from them and it's the only I would buy second hand gear from un-inspected, I know if an item is not exactly as I want I can return it and their service is always very prompt and polite.

I was surpirsed when I received a call from them just a while after I had made my order. This showed me just how serious they were with their work and all. I ordered a new camera and i like the others what I got was a new camera. Which makes me wonder just what did those guys mean by they got used cameras.
