I would give zero to this company if there was an option.
I did a lengthy mystery shopping for this company spent about over 8 hours meeting w 4 company sales person at my house, writing over 2 hrs of report back in August of 2019, my job was approved for payment on August 14/ 2019 now is pass 90 days, I haven't received any payment with this company, I followed up, no phone # to get to the right department to check on your payment. Still waiting for answers & my payment. Don't do business with them, don't do mystery shopping with them, not worth your time at all.
I do Mystery Shops for 10+ companies and AboutFace is the worst! They set shoppers up to fail, by asking for ridiculous amounts of information and their website is old and hard to use to submit reports. Last May I did a reimbursable shop and they owed me $171 that I had to remind them to pay me. I have a friend who did the same shop and they didn't pay here either, until we both called them a month later. I made a mistake of doing another Shop for them recently and they always find a way to refuse the shop. I spent hours doing the work and my report is good and thorough but they are giving me grief. With other companies I do Shops for I always get 10/10s on my reports, but this is the one company that treats me like an idiot.
I started doing smaller shops for them and got paid with no problem. So I decided to do a larger shop that paid $205 over 45 days ago and still no payment. I know I 'll eventually get my money but this company is shady, they didn't have to chase me down for my report so I shouldn't have to chase them down for my payment.
Don't work with them... period.
Our sincerest apologies for your late payment. We are constantly striving to do better and we know we failed you here. You were paid approximately 15 days late on July 3,2019. Thank you.
I was just cleaning up old files and came across this envelope from About Face telling me how my assignment as a customer service evaluator was to target Walmart stores they sent me detailed information on how to execute the task at hand. However I also received a $2,450.00 from a completely different place called Hourglass Collision Repair Center out of Tuscaloosa Oklahoma drawn on Regent Bank... Thank God I didn't try to deposit that check... CRAZY!

I was so excited to be receiving my supposedly "FREE GIFT" with my purchase from aboutface, but, surprise, NO FREE GIFT. Emailed the site, received emails from Ivan, was told, " it was not added successfully, he sent me a promo code to use on my next order to receive the gift, as I pay shipping and handling myself. I asked if he could just mail it to me and was told the only way I would get it is if I make another order per his emails that I have included. I was so upset, as I very rarely order makeup online, but Halsey is a favorite of mine and i wanted to support her endeavors. Extremely upset by the morals of this company. It makes me wonder if Halsey, herself knows how her company is being ran, this whole company needs to be revamped! You just cant RIP people off and get away with it!

I just love this place! Danita and the staff are all so kind and helpful. As a transgender female they treat you with so much respect and honesty with trying to help. A really great place. Thank you so much.
Unfortunately, you have left a review on the wrong company, but definitely glad you were treated with respect by this other company.
Tried taking time out of my precious day to assist them in a shop for a kiosk in the mall, took TONS of pictures and provided a detailed summary, and they had a nerve to say it was not sufficient. The ungratefuls kept sending me emails DEMANDING I resubmit my report and provide more pictures like they forgot THIS is not my job! Such rude and disrespectful people. You'd think they'd Be more appreciative considering people really don't give a sh** about competing mystery shops- IT'S A HOBBY.
I deposited the check in the manner specified, thank God my bank put a hold and checked in on the said deposit. I got a call from my bank telling me it's a counterfeit check.
THANK YOU ABOUTFACE!... NOT

Hi Scott,
Thank you for letting us know about the Mystery Shopping letter that you received. If you will Google this particular scam, it has been going on for quite some time with many businesses over the years. Unfortunately, legitimate Mystery Shopping Companies have been under scrutiny due to those who send these random checks out to innocent people. This scam recently brought national news coverage and has been sent to the Federal Trade Commission and other agencies. We always recommend, speaking to someone at the actual company before accepting any assignment where you are uncertain of the validity. Legitimate mystery shopping companies, always make you sign up with them and complete an agreement to perform an assignment. Companies never send out large sums of money via Western Union or ask for you to cash checks and keep part of the profits.
Market research and mystery shopping, are both vital to consumers to help companies adhere to standards, and stay compliant. We entrust people just like you to help us perform these assignments. Should you ever be looking to sign up with us, please let us know. We would love to have you as an evaluator with us and we have been in business for over 20 years. You can learn more about us at aboutfacecorp.com.
