We purchased a furnace and air conditioner from ac overstock this month and have not had any problems. Got the shipment in about a week... packaged pretty good. Equipment was installed by my brother in law this past weekend and its working perfectly from what we see. My brother in law wanted to maybe get a system so I typed in their name and found this site and was pretty upset about the first couple things I saw written. Doesn't make sense they seem like such good people. I got a heck of a price too so no complaints here. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know and would question these first 2 comments. Maybe its competition that makes these kinds of writings. I will write a follow up once my brother in law gets his furnace this week.

We purchased a gas furnace that arrived in horrible shape. Beat up and obviously shipped from them in poor shape. The trucking company said the damage occurred prior to them picking it up from acoverstock. They promised to fix but no response now after months of calls. We are out of town 6 months a year & in Dec 10 I finally gave up on them ever fixing or replace the furnace. I called & emailed again 3/11 and no return phone call. Save yourself the trouble and buy from a local dealer.

As far as the other review on this site regarding ACoverstock.com is concerned I whole heartedly agree with the content of their review. I too have lost a lot of money to ACoverstock.com to the tune of $2,200. After numerous emails, telephone calls, answering machine messages, and finally a BBB complaint, ACoverstock.com has proven its negligence beyond a shadow of a doubt. Please buyer if you are looking for a furnace or an ac or perhaps both do not, I repeat do not stop looking further and further away from this blight to the Capitalist system that is ACoverstock.com. The next step is to find out what can be done legally with this business so as to obtain reparations for hard earned money and time that has been lost by myself and others.

This company is selling equipment with BAD registered serial numbers. I checked with York JCI and confirmed it. No warranty will hold up if you buy this. Please dont use these morons. In addition to that, I was told that us home owners CAN NOT purchase A/C equipment because we dont have the EPA license... AC overstock is just trying to rip people off as quick and as dirty as possible. You guys SUCK!

I purchased a new ductless system (Mitsubishi) for my game room. I placed the order and within 24 hours recieved an email that my item had shipped. Before placing my order I looked them up on the BBB and found 0 complaints against them. When I asked the salesperson on the phone about all the bad reviews on here she explained the website was bought out by a builder and was under new management. Within 2 days I had my air conditioner. Great people to work with. Those bad reviews has to be a competitor or something. Its too exaggerated based on my stellar experience with them.

I had a great experience with them this past December 2010. I was reluctant to order after reading these two guys but I asked their customer service rep, Brenda, and she was very straight forward. The company was sold in November 2010 and the new owner is a General Contractor who has been open for 20 years and their BBB of Central Florida rating is a A+. It made me feel much better and I made the move and ordered my Rheem straight cool system. Got the system in 3 days from the date I ordered it - ordered via telephone on Tuesday and received it on Thursday = happy customer!

Worst customer service ever. They take your money, never ship the product, and you always get an answering machine when you call. If you leave a message or email them, don't expect to ever hear from them. BUYER BEWARE - this company has VERY POOR customer service - I have sent them 5+ emails and left over 10 voicemail messages and never received a reply.

ACOverstock seems to be the premier site in my opinion. They actually shipped my order the same day I purchased it. I had a tracking number in my inbox which verified that it was sent. I too asked their staff about the comments on this review board and I recieved the same information regarding the builder that is operating this business now. I look at it like a restaurant. It is a building that is occupied by people. Maybe you went to eat one day and did not like your sandwhich at all. But the new owners are masters at making the best sandwhiches in town. The new owners have nothing to do with the old owner's inexperience and ability. They just occupied the building and are doing NEW business. This I believe best describes the scenario at ACOverstock.com. The builder has A++ ratings which as a lot to be said. You can't believe everything you read anyway. My experience was awesome and I would recommend anyone to purchase with confidence. These people have the best service and fastest turn around time out there.

I bought a furnace from this company about a year ago, was just looking through some old files and thought I would google the company and see what came up.

I had a HORRIBLE time with this company. I've read some earlier posts about the company being purchase in 2011 by another individual so I don't know if it still applies but as of the winter 2010 the company was essentially a fraud.

As other posters have written, the company had horrible BBB ratings, after mailing my money I waited about two weeks for an updated on shipping and received nothing. I then sent about 15 emails, 15 calls and voicemails (no one ever answers) and then wrote a couple letters, nothing. I then began digging, went through the secretary of states office where the company is required to register and list a contact individual. Well the contact individual was another company, which that company was another company, and then finally I found some individual on the third company who was some guy in around orlando. So obviously this was a scheme to not have a real statutory agent as required. I found the guy who was listed on the third company's address, sent him some mail, and found his facebook and blew him up on there. Also, I mailed a draft civil complaint (I'm an attorney) to every contact info I could find saying if my order wasn't shipped I was filing my lawsuit on X day. Well the day before X day, I got an email saying sorry and my order was shipped. Contents of my order were fine, but overall this is obviously a scamming company, or was, and I would be very weary of doing business with them!
