“Luxury Redefined with Airbnb Luxe”

SOUMYA RANJAN B.
4/23/24

My experience with Airbnb Luxe was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped into my luxurious villa, I was greeted with unparalleled comfort and elegance. Every detail, from the stunning architecture to the impeccable interior design, was thoughtfully curated to create a truly unforgettable experience. The amenities, from private pools to personal chefs, exceeded my expectations and made me feel like royalty. Moreover, the concierge service was exceptional, catering to my every need and ensuring a seamless stay from start to finish. Airbnb Luxe has redefined luxury travel for me, and I can't wait to indulge in another unforgettable experience.

“Worst Experience Ever!”

Amanda N.
8/31/24

Airbnb has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. No support when things go wrong. I didn't feel safe at a place I rented and check in or stay there. They will not refund the full amount. Was promised a $300 refund, then only give $200. The reservation costed $423. I will never book through them again! This has been a nightmare!

For the last three years I have been using Airbnb as a guest quite often as my husband and I do travel a lot. Two years ago, while in China Airbnb got my money back after a bad experience with the host and the accommodation. This gave us more confidence in Airbnb. We felt protected.
So far all my reviews have been published, but the last one in Fes ( Morocco) still has not come out. I still gave Airbn top credit as company, but I lowered to three points the Fes accommodation just in relation to amenities. This, due to the low standard of the cooking area and not caring for safety. Otherwise I gave top credit as the apartment was a very well presented and arranged with gusto. The fact that Airbnb has not published my comments made me now think twice, in giving again top credit to Airbnbb.

I have read some of these complaints about this site. All I have to say is you get what you pay for. You want to be CHEAP! Book homes for $19 dollars a day. What the hell do you all think your going to get? A 5 Star Hotel? Lol. Well if your booking from me and your on your way to Argentina, Buenos Aires and you want to stay at the Faena Hotel. Then YES! You will for sure have a beyond amazing holiday, but its still not $50 dollars a day. All theses people that are complaining about this site are CHEAP! So be cheap and get cheap, beds, sheet, homes, apartments everything! I love this site! I have been a host and been hosted. I also know not to be cheap and look for quality.
Check out my amazing suite at the Faena Hotel

Airbnb's Host Guarantee is a grossly discreditable scam, that goes the same with the host required $1000 security deposit. A guest and his family from UT stayed for five days, made permanent damage to my ceramic glass cooktop. When I requested Airbnb to reimburse the replacement cost of my new cooktop with clear obvious photo evidence, they simply gave me the runaround and replied:

"After careful review of the information submitted, we've concluded that the reported damages to the Whirlpool 30" Ceramic Glass Cooktop are due to wear and tear as damage is very small and could have ocurred over a period of usage and not just during our Guest Isaac's stay. You are free to pursue reimbursement from your guest directly. However, per this requirement, this case is not eligible under the Host Guarantee. That said, we will follow up appropriately with Isaac with regard to guest responsibilities." I'm absolutely disgusted by Airbnb"s lack of action and responsibility!

We booked a town house in Zagreb through Airbnb. The host was friendly right from the moment we made the booking. The house was clean and warm and the customer service we received from Airbnb was amazing. I will definitely use them again.

ABNB blocked me from booking $450/night condo for my wife and child over Memorial weekend on account of "high risk parties" algorithm. Offered me to book rooms as though I am college kid. Discriminate against users and horrible service line of BS. I have over 50 + reviews in last two years that are all perfect and ALWAYS book our own places. They also deprived the host of said revenue and the host property went vacant for the holiday. The reasons were bunk and would not fix it. Use VRBO.

Like so many other people I had an experience with AirBnB where we booked months in advance, the site cancelled the booking a day before the reservation, and AirBnB didn't do anything for us to ensure that we could find a new place at the same cost we booked at. We had to spend much more money.

Called to reserve a Home in St. George Utah for two nights and after it was booked found out that my card was overcharged, I called to cancel 15 minutes after placing the order and AIRBNB would not help me and the owner kept most of my money. Terrible customer service!

Enjoy talking to walls? Need to write a letter but never send it? Airbnb is the place for you! No one will ever respond to your requests for a place to stay. So vent, talk to yourself, make threats, whatever! Hell, no one will ever read it but you!

Hosts are not required to have a business license nor have any knowledge about safety, etc. They are not required to have a criminal background check, and there are ways for hosts to write their own reviews. Most hosts seem to be people who can not hold a job and are looking for an easy way to make enough money to support themselves. A few are superstars and have committed to knowing how to be hosts.

Avoid this website, while they seem to market their stock well, their actual service is horrible. We had a terrible experience in Manhattan and then now in Sydney, they allow the owner to cancel without penalty and then to get my refund of 6 grand USD, they require access to my contact list, which is not available. They are thieves, seriously, NEVER think of using this rip off site, they are just a bunch of liars.

Very bad support, if you have an issue with your host you have to deal with the issue on your own.
I have been waiting for a support ticket for a week now. Its like you talking to tree not humans here. Very very dissatisfied

I have had an horrible experience with them. First I tried to book a room with my account and the night before it was canceled by airbnb without explanation leaving me and my husband with no where to stay. Also they triple charged his credit card which took so much hassling with them to get it back. Then they canceled my account with no explnation. Next My husband made his own private account and we tried to be a host. After 3 weeks of our listing not showing up and many calls and e mails to them with them saying they cant help us and would not tell us the problem they canceled his account without telling us why.
They are a horrible service center and I dont trust them at all.

We booked a home on the ocean for our 10 year anniversary.
Then coronavirus hits.
I have lupus so I'm high risk and my wife is asthmatic so she's high risk.
Because we are high risk we had to cancel the home and get a refund.
My wife accidentally clicked on credit thinking it was credit card. Well it wasn't so we called to see about getting it changed and all the way up they said it cannot be changed once you clicked on it. Which we all know that they can make it happen just refuse to.
We even explained that we just had to get a new HVAC system, which was $6800. We told them we could send a copy of the receipt.
We really kind of needed as you can imagine.
They didn't give a hoot, they really don't care.
We have used companies like this one in the past, almost every summer vacation.
I have never seen such a disregard for customers.
We're not sure if we even want to use the credit and have to deal with them again.
100% dissatisfied

I put a 50% reservation payment down and assumed that 50% refund meant that I would get 50% of that payment back. Not so fast! Evolve, the company with which I made the reservation, chose the "strict" form of reservation refund. That is, they refunded 50% of the full price of my complete reservation. I did not get a 50% refund, they did give me a 10% refund of the money I had put down.

It used to be a kind community now it is full of arrogant and rude agents.
1 - protection plan and insurance towards hosts is a big illusion
2 - very unsafe and wont care if your house get damaged
3 - wont offer possibilities to improve
4 - people are lazy and dirty so dont expect them to clean ever
5 - some agents will tell you airbnb is a hotel service and thats how guests will take it
6 - their insurance is a lovely decoration to attract customers
7 - people will trash your house and they wont care as they have the most uncaring policy ever
8 - you talk to one supervisor and then you talk to another and you will get 2 differents stories
9 - a guest can send a complain with random pix and they will trust the guest but if you are a host you can dream
10 - many guests will complain straight to their resolution center and after staying the full booking just so they can get money back.
And will do behind your

That's right. I had a tenant of mine run an AirBnB in Los Angeles from her apartment. Gave her warning to stop, but she insisted on continuing. NO HELP at all from the company to stop her ILLEGAL business in the apartment. We had to subpoena her AirBnB records for court. After a substantial battle, we finally got the Sheriff to perform a lock out (conclusion of an eviction). She ended up signing a stipulation owing lots of back rent, since we could not collect during the eviction process. She may have saved some rent money, but now has an eviction that stays on 10 years (court record) and a collection on her credit report. Good luck getting a loan or renting again with that.

AirBnB HAS NO RIGHT to profit from an asset THAT I OWN. Period. They are not my partner in business. As a matter of fact they are A HOL#ES.

Am an owner i got cheated from Airbnb, i couldn't believe what they did, i got a reservation those days and i should get my payout for that, i found that they deduct two amounts from my payout without any clarification, any reason or any explanation, the amount they deducted its for a reservation made on end of 2018 and beginning of 2019 was canceled by Airbnb.
I tried several times to contact them without any response or any solution they deduct 427 € this is Contempt and theft from this site, unbelievable that Airbnb stealing money from owners payout...

AirBnB is allowing hosts to decide on if they want to refund your money during Covid which is horrible. I was supposed to travel to Portugal but the US and Portugal had lock downs. I admit I forgot to hit cancel, but the host also never sent access to the property. Host decided they wanted to keep my money and AirBnB won't refund.

Do not use their service - total thieves!

Wrote a fair review about a house my family rented in FL and AirBnB would not post it. They said it wasn't "relevant" but clearly they didn't allow it because it was a 3-star rating and pointed out problems with the home and property management company. It was not a harsh review by any means and I pointed out that the issues were small but collectively big enough that the owners need to address them. They should have posted so the owners would make the repairs and then they could reply to the review online stating all issues are fixed. The purpose of reviews is to allow a renter to identify both good and bad characteristics of a rental before they book. This owner has a 4.8 star rating and is listed as a Superhost by AirBnB... now I know why... they don't post negative reviews!

Tip for consumers:
AirBnB customer reviews are censored which means you cannot count on a 4/5 star rating to confirm your stay will be as expected. Expect the unexpected!

I booked a one month stay at a house in California. The money was paid up front in full with a credit card. After 3 weeks during my stay I was charged an additional $30.56. No bill, no warning no explanation... nothing.
They have an "F" rating with the BBB.
I guess I should have expected it.

My exoerience with hosts has been great, but the Help Centre is terrible. I called about a refund that hadn't been received and the consultant firstly tried to get me to contact the host for an additional refund. I then explained the refund has been processed already but not received. I then got placed on hold for an extended period then was asked to write down the figures so I understand. When I again explained the cancellation refund already processed has not been received the consultant kept talking over the top of me, raised their voice until they wished me a good day and hung up. It was awful and made me feel like I had done something wrong, which I hadn't. Awful exoerience and terrible service.

Had a booking canceled on me and used the transferred refund to book ANOTHER place but had to cancel that due to the host being shady and having no pictures of himself or his property. Called customer service to expedite the refund because my trip is in 3 days, and was told that the rep was going to call my bank to confirm the refund. Called again later and was told that this was not their policy. Was blatantly lied to and misinformed. No one has their $#*! together at Airbnb HQ.
