My experience with Airbnb Luxe was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped into my luxurious villa, I was greeted with unparalleled comfort and elegance. Every detail, from the stunning architecture to the impeccable interior design, was thoughtfully curated to create a truly unforgettable experience. The amenities, from private pools to personal chefs, exceeded my expectations and made me feel like royalty. Moreover, the concierge service was exceptional, catering to my every need and ensuring a seamless stay from start to finish. Airbnb Luxe has redefined luxury travel for me, and I can't wait to indulge in another unforgettable experience.
Airbnb has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. No support when things go wrong. I didn't feel safe at a place I rented and check in or stay there. They will not refund the full amount. Was promised a $300 refund, then only give $200. The reservation costed $423. I will never book through them again! This has been a nightmare!
Awful experience. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic they fought me on issuing a refund. How can you refuse to refund customers when travel is restricted?! Awful experience. I will never use again and do not recommend because if anything happens that prevents your trip they are not forgiving. And I asked the host for a refund considering the trouble I was having with the company and she declined a refund. What a dreadful human. Entire encounter was unbelievable. In the end I got a refund but after I had to submit proof that travel was being restricted.
Our children wanted to surprise us with a $300.00 Air bnb gift card as a birthday gift for our trip to Ireland to celebrate this and my son gave an old email address that could not be accessed anymore. Air bnb refused to refund the funds or resent the gift card to the correct email and essentially stole the $300.00 paid to them for the gift card. Our son tried to speak to people from Air Bnb at all levels and they refused to help in any way. We are very disappointed in their lack of business integrity and they have lost our entire family as a customer for life. We plan to do a lot of traveling in our retirement but will not use Air bnb because if something goes wrong, they won't stand up for you; only themselves.
I used the app to book a weekend. When I received the confirmation and receipt emails, it only showed one night. Their solution to fix this was to re-book the second night. Now I'm getting charged all kinds of service fees and cleaning fees for two different stays. Over $400 for two nights in a $80 room. I know what I'm booking. The host knows what I'm booking. AirBNB claims to know what I'm booking, but they're charging me for way more and won't fix it. The AirBNB rep I spoke with on the phone then said it was my fault for using the app to book instead of using a desktop computer. He read me multiple scripts over and over. It seemed as if he didn't comprehend that he was supposed to get off the phone at some point and actually fix the problem. I don't have high hopes.

Booked a two night stay, got billed for two one-night stays and a whole bunch of service fees.
I didn't know that airbnb was also affiliated with rental companies for beach houses! Where is the customer protection when the "owner" cancels? All the protection leans to the home owner! I will not be using airbnb. My fam secured a house at the beach months in advance only to have it cancelled a few hours before check in! Wth. We had FOUR different houses pushed on us, otherwise we would have to cancel entire vacation (but had expectant kids and had already secured time off). VERY DISAPPOINTING
After hours of searching and reading countless positive reviews, I finally settled on a charming apartment that seemed perfect for my getaway. However, upon arrival, I was greeted with a that was any neighborhood that was a safety concern for my family and disgusting filth in the pool the extreme nasty order in the fridge and all the garbage piles up outside and worst of all the bugs we found in the bathroom. Yes left the property immediately ask for a refund and was denied I refund of
$2586.03 all because I did not take pictures.
Tip for consumers:
This complete lack of accountability and utter disregard for customer satisfaction is unequivocally unacceptable.

Dealing with airbnb customer service is absolutely pointless, either their emails do not go to anyone or they simply have no systems in place for dealing with customer/payment issues. Airbnb think I owe money for a booking that was never taken up, I do not owe any money and have emailed them over 25 times explaining the situation. They continue to send me emails saying asking me to authorise them to take money from my paypal account. Even when it appears an actual person has responded to my complaints/explanations, they do not appear to understand and keep sending me generic emails. This has been going on for 3 months and they still cannot resolve this. I have had to resort to blocking them from my email to make this stop.
Recently went on airbnb.ca (canadian site) and booked a place in Florida for spring break with my family. Booked a place that was advertised as $200 CDN per night. When I received my credit card bill airbnb had charged me $200 US per night. After numerous emails with Dennis from airbnb they refused to refund me the difference stating we had made a mistake. The only mistake we made was using airbnb to rent a place. Airbnb is a dishonest false advertising company that I will never use again.
This was the worst experience I have ever had with an Airbnb (worse than any hotel for that matter). The place is in very rough shape and the yard is an absolute disaster. The place itself was below average and several pieces of furniture were swapped with stained and dirty furniture after the listing photos were taken. Shortly after arriving a rat ran past us in the living room and my son and daughter absolutely freaked (yes, I said rat). We then immediately left the property. I did some homework and it looks like the owner has been a notorious slumlord in the area for years and has numerous lawsuits against him. I cannot imagine that the city gave an occupancy permit for this place and suspect it isn't legally inhabited.
I had to drive around at 10pm to find a safe place to stay and Airbnb representatives did little to help us. I am reconsidering ever using Airbnb again now that I know that there is no vetting of the properties conditions or their owners. All I can say is WOW!

Do not use this service. Its horrible. They misrepresent their properties and there is no way to get refund or change if your unhappy with the service. Not a trustworthy or honest organization. We travel frequently and have had no issues. We made the mistake of using this service - will never do so again.
I planned to stay with Airbnb for 1 month after a transplant surgery. Unfortunately, my surgery was delayed for circumstances out of my control. I had agreed to the "long term" refund policy and was unable to get my money back from the host. Airbnb really worked with me and assisted me to get all my money back. They were compassionate and understanding. It is nice to know that good companies still exist when something like this occurs.
Should you wish to give yourself an early heart attack...
Airbnb had a good concept but this is all it has. I met lots of nice people as a Host. The customer service is unbearable and inept; they speak in compliments and riddles, never substance, endless holding. No one is capable of resolving the smallest problem, or take responsibility.
You could not possibly get any worse customer service nor waste more time trying to resolve the simplest problem; no client satisfaction whatsoever. It took ABB from May to July to correct something (address and mapping area), never mind the random pricing which required my endless monitoring. The incompetence is rampant. After two years I quit. UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY, Pathetic.
Id rather chew nails.

Hosting - Do Not Use Airbnb, Seriously.
I am helping my husband find locations to stay as we relocate, I used my account to book his stays. The host rejected our stay 2 days prior because it was my account and I am not going to be there with my husband.
Air BNB threw the problem on me that I need an account per person. However, I do not want an account for me and him and two accounts to manage. Yet they don't offer an account with two profiles and then state the host can reject unless each person has an account.
Customer service was not very good at explaining and at one point just hung up on me.
I am now very wary of using Airbnb, guest beware, as other review state, they very much favor hosts.
I want give it a lower score if I could! Their host are frauds! I made reservation in Airbnb and paid upfront on their site in May 2017 a trip in August 2017. I even contacted the host expressing my excitement! They cancelled my reservation because they got a higher rate through VRBO! The worst thing is the service I received from Adrianna at Airbnb! She didn't care and was unapologetic and try to blame the situation to me. Don't ever use them! They have no service and the host are frauds!
Absolutely disgusted in Airbnb. "Refunded money can only be deposited into the account where the payment was made." What happens when you paid by Credit Card and have closed the account? No-one from Airbnb could tell me what happens to the money, I think it just goes to line their pockets. Disgusted and will never, ever use Airbnb again.
Tip for consumers:
Be very careful, they are good if everything goes to plan but if there is a change, they rob you blind.

I used nothing as I couldn't get my money back.
Host switched the room on us and gave us really bad room compare to the charges. We even bought the Airbnb insurance to make sure this does not happen. Airbnb did nothing and suppressed our complaint. It was like talking to a Airbnb lawyer when out complaint passed the "level 1" support. They hung up on us and told us that there is nothing they can do. Ruined our entire vacation. Never doing Airbnb again! Never!
Tip for consumers:
Will never use Airbnb and their insurance did nothing for us.

Booked an AirBnb holiday cottage for a week in Aberdovey, North Wales, in good faith based on the information given in the Airbnb listing. Turned up after driving for hours to find a drab, damp, dark, dated, depressing and smelly cottage situated on a dangerous road - totally unsuitable for children. We left after 10 minutes of walking into the property - having paid £603 in total for the booking. Raised a complaint with AirBnb within 20 minutes of leaving the cottage. Result is that Airbnb gave us a £50 refund of our total £603 we paid. It seems they sided with the owner - rather than the guest. And it seems they tend to do this as a rule. So as a guest if things go wrong, be warned you will lose your money - and Airbnb will not help you - no matter what they say!
When Airbnb rents something out that had someone in it right before we walked in the door and then refused to help us transfered us 4 times on 3 calls and you offer us 24 cents per person to go to a coffee shop and wait while you try and get ahold of him. 2 hours after we reached out to him with no response an hour and a half after the first time you said give us an hour to get ahold of him. Just shows all that matters to you is your bottom line!
Our last two reservations through airbnb were cancelled. We book way in advance to ensure we get a house that is suited for our large family. Our initial reservation for Thanksgiving in 2020 was cancelled and then the host relisted the home at a higher rate. We reserved a home for 2021 Christmas and this was cancelled a month beforehand. Now there is very limited inventory and what is left that will suit our family is very expense. Essentially the host can cancel at any time without consequence (airbnb has it's remedies, but they are without any teeth). I would expect a good company to make it right, but airbnb doesn't do that. Our Christmas is now ruined as we can't get our entire family together. It appears airbnb caters only to the host since that is where the money comes from and the renter is completely expendable.
Tip for consumers:
Don't book with airbnb unless you are okay with them cancelling at the last minute

"very poor customer support; had a very frustrating experience during the sign-up, verification, and attempted booking. My booking was confirmed and taken by someone else because the verification process failed multiple times without clear explanation on how to fix it (even after calling support lines twice, I wasn't helpfully assisted at bloody all).
If you have an alternative, you should definitely go with that."
Beware of fees! Booked three nights and had to change reservation. Now, a $170 night reservation ($510) has cost $120 in AirBNB fees. Will never book through this agency again and will avoid hosts that utilize this service.
Worst site... was an unpleasant experience to rent an apartment. After that, I leave an honest review, which the administration removed for unknown reasons. The conclusion is do not trust reviews from this site
Does anyone get these "star reviews"? They are misleading and frustrating for the host. My guests say all nice things in the review but give me less than 5 stars in each category. Never saying what the problem is... and i get upset with AirBnB's rubbing my face in it that my reviews are less than 5 stars, but the guests comments are not supporting the star reviews they give me. I dont know what future guests will make of the compliments in my reviews but then when they see the star ratings, they'll wonder what is going on... AirBnB needs to get rid of these stupid star reviews! And I give them 1 star as a result!
They accept any vendor and don't check cleanliness or stability so you could make a reservation and find once you arrived that there was no room or they had closed or moved.
Be careful who u pay in advance and who you give your credit card number to!
Reserved apartment was extremely dirty and didn't respond to advertisement and reviews. Airbnb asked if i want to cancel reservation. I confirmed and they changed me with full amount. 2 days of international calls and asking for help - to return money, to give new apartment, at least to give me back this one as i have no more money. But they only treated me in rude manner and advised to ask host for money.
My host was great and the place was even better that I rented. I had unfortunate circumstances and had to cancel my reservation. Airbnb took an extra 1,300 out of my account after I have already paid for the entire month in advance. Per the host, the money didn't even go to him. Airbnb took it. Well, Airbnb was shady with it and said I needed the "ok" from the host to receive it back. Even after he agreed, support told me he didn't agree and therefore I would not see my money. Thankfully the host was very determined to get my refund for me and was talking with support for the whole day. Be cautious if you need to cancel. They'll try taking your money!
